- Bandai Triceratops Imaginary Skeleton
Previously, I had built Bandai’s Tyrannosaurs Imaginary Skeleton. In that build I painted the kit first and then assembled. On this kit I painted after assembly. When painting something as intricate as a skeleton, as case could be made for either approach. In the end, moving forward, I think I would assemble first and then after priming start with a very thin base coat to get paint into all the difficult to reach areas.
Regard assembly, this kit has a lot of the parts but the instructions were really good at showing what attached where. I certainly have no complaints with the plastic Bandai used. I do like how Bandai does their runners. They are well organized and parts are easy to find.
Overall, I enjoyed this kit and would recommend it.

Those 27 layers of paint really did the trick!
Thanks!
My favourite dinosaur of all time. Looks great 👌🏻
Thanks!
I recently completed the triceratops and agree it is a great kit. I built the T-rex earlier but was not crazy about the pose. I will soon be working on the mosasaur. I hope they continue this line. Great paint job.
Yes, they're great looking kits - would be amazing if they tracked the dinosaurs found in the Aurora Prehistoric Scenes line!
Edit - just noticed in the instructions the Triceratops and T Rex bases fit together just like the aforementioned Aurora kits - nice job Tamiya!
@@jeffholt9437 Are you aware of Dan's Dinosaurs ?. He sells some amazing kits from many different makers. Unfortunately they are resin and limited or low production and are very expensive.
