I’ve done Sharp Edge about 5 times over the years and always thought it made Striding Edge look like a vicarage tea-party 😆 The video reminded me how wonderful fell walking is and how at 77 with shot knees it’s sad to realise that I’ll never do it again…
@geoffbuck6890 Sadly for Dave Galloway that is also the case, and I don't think we are far away ourselves now. Berts had a heart Attack, Colin has heart issues and you described how my knees feel perfectly. Memories are golden now. Thanks for watching our efforts
Cracking video Graham. Great shots going over Sharp Edge. We had our break in that same shelter when we did this route (minus Sharp Edge) Looked like everyone had a great day. Great stuff. Cheers. Eddie.
Yeah that shelter was perfect, right in the middle of the walk and the sun came out briefly to warm us as we stuffed our old fat faces 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers Eddie you young Gadgee
They didn't look enthusiastic at the start lol. Must admit that looked a cracking route and apart from Halls Fell I have always just gone straight up to Blencathra from the White Horse Inn. Thank goodness you kept your top on this time you hit the falls on the way up to Scales Tarn😵💫. Perfect conditions for Sharp Edge and despite going over 4 times previously I always got nervous each time. Great footage going over the edge with the GoPro and good that you also included the climb up Foule Crag, which most people miss out but an important part of the crossing. Well done to lee after his hip op, its the knee op I worry about both of them 😳. A nice boggy walk back after Blencathera summit and nice to bump into people who watch the videos. Cheers Alan
Cheers Alan, only my 2nd time with 3 previous failed attempts in poor conditions. I've yet to do Halls Fell Ridge up as you did with Eddie. It looked great and is on my bucket list if I live long enough
Another epic video, Graham - absolutely brilliant. I did Striding Edge as a spotty yoof, but never fancied Sharp Edge. Just a bit too airy for me. Atb.
Thanks for sharing as always Graham..And sharp edge! What's a belting section of the mountain that is!! One of the best in the lakes. Are you doing a 2nd round? Only ask as I said I'd never go back to Mungrisdale Common after doing it in awful weather, ankle deep in bog.
You will never see it again on a FBOT Video I assure you. Bert has bagged it, he has 99 to go and so on to more scrambles hopefully after that and more exciting fun
Thank you for your kind comment. It was great fun, and we were lucky with the weather. For some reason, RUclips did not note that track, sorry about that. It was 'Destiny' by Schizoidman. Thanks for watching
Really entertaining video of Sharp Edge and all the fells. Great to see. We walk the Lakes very often. We'll look out for you xx
Fantastic vid Graham, we really enjoyed watching this and it brought back great memories of the walk last year.
Great hiking, wonderful video. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks I appreciate that and thank you for watching

Cheers Graham - nice to get a heads up for the exact route I have in mind over the next few months 👍🏼
Can't beat this one, love Sharp Edge, if only the route didn't take in Mungrisdale Common as muck and bog
Great looking ridge cant wait to do that joe
It's a cracker Joe, in good conditions mind. Thanks for watching

Excellent video👍. If only my knees were 10 years younger..its only low level stuff now for my wife & I😃
Don't think I'll be too far behind you David the way my legs and knees have been of late. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
Nice bit of Steve Hackett. Ange still wants to do this!
Great video as always. So sad to hear Dave doesn’t do the big ones with you anymore. We always look out for you every time we are up there.
Thanks Mark. Coming up April 22nd if you about for a week
The footage along sharp edge is brilliant for anyone thinking of undertaking it , they will know what to expect and how dangerous it can be
Thanks, it was a great day for it, which always helps
Great video and views once more, sharp edge be too much for me,well done
Thanks Graham, had to be perfect conditions I can tell you.

Great achievement and video guys.
What is the name of the instrumental music you used whilst on the ridge?
