I am a 21 year old, 3rd generation carpenter, I've been working with wood since I was 5 and have been tearing apart and rebuilding cars since I was 12. I currently live on the east coast (Mass) and I would be more than happy to rebuild the 1929 Chevy for you guys. I would do it for no cost to me just fly me out there and have a place for me to sleep and eat. I currently go to college but would love to devote my summer to this. Run from the '29 chev. My old man did full restorations on several 1928 coupes, but they are pretty lousy to hot-rod because of the wood body. That's the main reason why the late 30's coupes were so popular because Chev had moved away from wood bodies at that point. You could do it, but even finding someone with the skill to do the work is next to impossible. My dad only was able to do it because he used to build boats as a hobby. Sell it to someone who will restore it! If you want a 20's rod, do a Ford!
In order? Finish the Audi. it's almost done. Then move to the nova give it a refresh and finish it up. Then do that 944. I'd love to see danger Dan try piecing together the rail car. Fix the rolls. Fix the fc. Don't care what happens to the rest.
