73' skyline was sold as a 240K here down under. 10 years ago you couldn't give them away. A mate made his mum buy a coupe like that one. Flat black, straight through exhaust. No one wanted them. Now even the 4 doors command $$$$$$. They were great rally cars. Almost as good as the 240z. Same motor.
Best episode of the year. I have never wanted to import a Skyline as bad as I do right now. Absolutely breathtaking designs came from Japan in that era.

WHAT!?! Peter Brock signed the Skyline's dash! He's an Aussie racing LEGEND! He's been dead for around 10 years now. There was none bigger or better than Peter Perfect in Australia. He won Bathurst 9 bloody times, was a multiple Touring Car champ who also did quiet well racing in Europe in races like Le Mans and Euro Touring Car racing. My head just exploded. Was not expecting that little bit of magic

because peter brock pretty much exclusive raced in Australia with the exception of a small stint in europe and new zealand so to see his name on an older style clean built skyline is defaintly strange 👍
Yeah its the American Peter "Pete" Brock that raced 510s and 240z back in the 70's that signed the Dash. The Aussie Peter Brock (in the photo they used) unfortunately died back in 2006 doing what he loved, racing cars.

i was lucky got 2 $800 aud one had a blown head and the other one needed a new diff and power steering rack so swaped all that over to make one good car and then took the powered mirrors and windows from the one with the blown head and put it in the good one that was a base line but now its worth 3000-4000 aud

Idk if you guys read comments but a suggestion for the low cars and the entrance is you could put a pipe or pipes in the dip so cars can roll over it easily but also it can still drain for the one day a year it rains.

So much goodness in this ep.!!! Man, FJ20's were the shiz- nit in Aust before SR's hit the scene in the 90's. They are a tough engine that can be built to take huge amounts of boost. The head flows really well too and there was massive aftermarket support for them making them a really good little combo to build for a light car like the early Datsun's people built them for over here
