- In this Brightline construction update, I look at the progress on the future Boca Raton and Aventura stations in November 2022. These are two infill stations that Brightline is adding to their phase 1 operation that is currently operating in South Florida and both are on track to open by the end of 2022.

The whole Brightline concept is amazing and it's nice to see modern stations, track and train sets. It looks like no expense has been spared on anything Brightline connected and it shows as everything is beautiful ! Thank you for your dedication and hard work in documenting this entire project which will be a shining star for not only Florida, but the nation. It shows what forward thinking vision can achieve and all should be proud of this epic rail project called Brightline.
Even the parking lot in Aventura looks amazing. The spots look spacious and the lanes have smooth curves. It's unlike many Miami parking ltos that try to squeeze so many cars in that they can't even turn through intersections at the same time.
Great video👍
I don't see how these stations, especially the Boca Raton station, could be finished by the end of the month but I'm no construction expert and hope that I'm wrong
Austin, you have done another fantastic documentary on the ongoing work of this grand railroad,Miami to Orlando, and eventually to Tampa. Your work clearly shows the full scale of the total work package, and just how immense the whole project is. It looks as it is being done right the first time. Maybe you can finish up with interviews with the visionaries who envisioned this from the start, and just how they pulled it off. I’m sure they would be honored to sit for an interview with the gentleman who has so lovingly documented its construction. Your star is bright my friend, and I am honored to know you through your work!❤
Great video. I must have taken Brightline line 200 times now. I can’t wait for Boca and Aventura
Thank you so much! It’s so nice to see the construction progress. Almost completed! It’s really coming along nicely! I am looking forward to it! See you soon!
Excellent update, thanks. It’s coming together. 👍👍
Thanks for letting us jam to your videos again man! Love this and can't wait to see the Brightline open in Boca
Love the use of pavers, much more tasteful than slabs of concrete
they gon be so beautiful when done
We did the polor express last weekend. Brightline did an amazing job. All the conductors and personal really cared. Shows you how great Brightline will be. Can’t wait to take it from Boca to Orlando
Can't wait. I live in Aventura and am so excited to take this up to Orlando a few times a year.
Excellent video! This makes me wonder; once the Boca Raton and Aventura stations come on line, does this mean Brightline will operate express and local services? Like could express be operating as it is today between Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach? And local service in addition to those three stations Aventura and Boca Raton?
Brightline has not announced how services will be operated yet
Again. Thanks so much for your well done updates.
Cannot wait.
Thanks
Another great video. Thanks!
Great working weather is about get even better with a huge cool down en route for even Florida.
Nice. I am enjoying watching the progress of the whole project. One question. It looks like there is barely enough room for another track and a platform at Boca Raton... ? Cheers from new Zealand.
There is room but it requires utility relocations and modifications to the sidewalk
Thank You , Thank You... :)
Just got finished with the cutover for aventura. Took a walk through that platform while I was there. It looked a good bit from completion but they were there working. I should be on a few of the orlando cutovers
Fantastic & Thanks for this video
Thanks for the excellent video. I can’t help but wonder if you were flying your drone in the rain, since the streets were so wet. I’m looking forward to the Aventura station opening with great anticipation, so that I no longer have to drive in Dade County when going to Aventura Mall.
I was fortunate to get about a 15 minute break between rain storms to fly there
gotta love stations in the us, no sidewalks that connect the houses literally next to the station to the station itself
Can’t blame Brightline for that, that’s all on the neighborhoods themselves that feel they need to wall themselves in…
Is Brightline still going to upgrade their trains to 10 cars instead of 4?
Trains will be gradually expanded as ridership requires
In terms of commuter service, are you referring to Tri-Rail?
No details have been released on who exactly will run the commuter service or what kind of equipment will be used.
Have you heard when the Orlando part is opening?
2023
@@RoamingRailfan thanks. ! Can hardly wait. I wonder what month in 2023 or maybe they don’t even know
Great video! Are these stations on track (pun intended) to open at the same time as the Orlando extension? Thank!
Both stations will open by the end of this month (December 2022). The Orlando extension is on track to open in 2023.
Great update as always. A question: In the Aventura station, the track to the west of the platform is way too far away to be used - are they planning on moving it prior to opening, or are they just going to use the track to the east of the platform?
They just need the east track ready in order to open the station and can shift the west one as time allows after the station is open.
Was a pedestrian bridge across the highway at Boca Raton part of the plans? May be misremembering, but I'm not seeing any evidence of that.
I don’t believe so
You said this is your final update before the stations open. Will we get any more updates in December? Thanks
Other than possible coverage on each station’s opening day, I don’t anticipate making another trip to document them this month.
@@RoamingRailfan Understandable. Thank you for the updates!
Is there anyway the Aventura station will connect to Aventura mall (across the big road parallel to the tracks). The mall also has alot of bus connections.
Yes, a pedestrian bridge is currently in design to connect the mall to the station
So how do you get to the mall from there? I don't see how you can pass the tracks on the other side.
Brightline will be running a shuttle service to the mall until a pedestrian bridge connecting to it directly can be completed
