My peanut plant planted itself. A squirrel evidently dropped a peanut in its shell in a big flower pot. I mixed it into the soil without knowing it was there. It spent the winter in my unheated garage. I planted other plants in the pot in the spring and brought them in when the weather cooled and covered them with a clear plastic bag because I thought there would be bugs in the soil. When the plants eventually died, I pulled them out and there was a plant I didn't recognize. I saw the peanut halves with the plant growing out of them. The plant is about 10 inches high now, still covered by the plastic bag and being warmed by the winter sun in my dining room. I'll keep it alive as long as I can.

You forgot to show where the peanut plants need to be potted in a container at least 12-18 inches deep, to give room for them to grow. Disappointed that you didn't show the results!

I grow peanuts for the first time this year. It's about 2 months old now. Quite tall. I realize one late afternoon that I saw my peanut leaves is closing. Wonder if that's a sign of drying or wilting.

I'm from North Borneo. This year I planted peanut of the Tiger Peanut species. It's also known as strawberry corn peanut. Some call it freckles peanut. I bought from an open market.
