Mattias, I cannot believe you replied within minutes to me, 2 days ago. You are a huge influence on my rhythmic images and understanding. Your brilliance in this genre and the electric guitar world, shines. And I bet that it means a lot to us in these troubled times. Thanks, keep on rocking !
I almost shit myself with the first bassy riff... Literally...as i lost control of my colon... Luckily for me and my woman, twas a clear passage.. Cheers brother. Awesum as always ❤
Yesss Mattias!! This is awesome!! Love that song! I really was addictet to the Freak Kitchen albums about ten years ago ... so much that i wasn‘t invided to some partys of friends, because heads get to explode by this kind of awesomnes 😂💪
What a great player. Wow That's above and beyond. Unique and interesting. Seems to be it's own thing and not a morph of all the other fodder around it. Respect
Awesome! I have decided that if you somehow got together with Ron Thal, aka "Bumblefoot", there would be too much talent in one spot in the world, it would probably trigger Armageddon 😁
@@gingerjam2192 sweet, thanks, I'll revisit those tracks for sure! Mattias and Bumblefoot are guru level players :) I would pay money to see Mattias play over Ron's Planetary Lockdown...man would that be rad!
@@mattias_ia_eklundh Oh absolutely, guesswork is always risky! I use a lot of konnakol in all musical settings now thanks to your videos. I was more wondering if you remember how you used to learn a and write the FK material before you fell properly into Konnakol.
@@AidanMmusic96 The process is always the same... which is completely random. :) I can begin with a rhythm, a simple melody, a chord, a catchy song name. Konnakol is just the best tool to keep it all in place and feel... secure, in lack of a better word.
Mattias your tunings are so weird and creative man. I don't know of anyone else who tunes like this. Also it was great to see you on Herman Li's livestream the other week 🙂
@@mattias_ia_eklundh Nice! Completely missed it. I vividly remember getting Appitizer for christmas -94 from my cousin and I was superstoked getting home to play it on my stereo. Happy thoughts! :) :) :) I have the privilege to own one Fractal Audio System product and with that several tube amplifiers. Laney is not one of them, so what do you think is the closest to a Laney amp. Could it be a Brit tube amplifier or something nearby?
Hmm... nothing really sounds like the Laney. It is certainly not the easiest amp in the world to play but once you take control of it, it is marvelous in many ways. :)
Yaass! Shut up and play yer ol’ classic Apple Horn! Trevlig fredag!
It's been one of my favorite Freak Kitchen songs a few years ago. It's always nice to come back and listen to these playthroughs... Greetings, IA!
Put up those horns, everyone. The pagan metal has arrived.
Such a badass song
1:55 gives me Kamchatka-Astrobuck vibes and I love it
Ok now THAT'S what I call an excellent Friday Morning. Greetings from Brazil!
The song and that guitar, both really tasty
And good morning to you too, Mattias!

Good way to start the weekend :D Don't recall having seen that Apple Horn before.
I got this, hand-painted by Itaru Kanno not long after the first one. Used it a lot on Dead Soul Men, brother Wichmann.
Aww man!. This notification is how you finish a Friday!!. I love how you always have such a great time in these vids. greeting from Australia.

Wow, this is intense! Mattias, do you notice a difference in how you play the "pre-Konnakol" Freak Kitchen songs vs the "post-Konnakol" material?
Hard to say, but... konnakol always helps keeping rhythm and pulse steady. I detest guessing my way through tunes. :)
