I love that people our age are still pushing the boundaries of exploration. I myself was 247 lb at my heaviest over 4 years ago and I am now anywhere from 168 to 180. I prefer the 168 but the point is is. We're are reinventing ourselves and pushing forward and living life. I know this is long-winded. I know you don't know me but this is my journey as well. Just pushing the boundaries, living life, living new experiences and being the best me I can be bless up

Western North Carolina is one of the most beautiful parts of this country.
I’ve been all over that area and visited many of those waterfalls. Including Looking Glass.
Last November I revisited several and took my camping friends who are from Korea to see White Water Falls.
This is an absolutely magnificent video!
What I appreciate most is that it still looks the same as it did 50 years ago.

I've always wanted to do some bike packing or hiking on multi-day adventures but since I have a chronic bad back & fibromyalgia I wudnt be able to carry a ruck sack so bike packing it is, let the bike take the weight 😂 through watching your videos I've finally booked in to have a towbar fitted to my little microcamper so I can put my bike on a bike rack 🙌 finally I'm going to put some big ticks at the side of my wish list 👌 Did I forget to mention? 🤔That I'm too scared to leave the house on my own, so don't 😬 so yeah this is going to be a huge challenge 🙈 but I'm a really determined person who likes a challenge 🤦🏼‍♀️ good job really lol 😂 Thanks for the inspiration & resparking my love for riding my eMTB. That black tailgate protector holder for bikes is sweet, i have one, its like a bike rack for trucks and its great for trips or transporting to a trail. Much cheaper in price then a bike rack that is trailer hitch mounted.
Id say if you have a pickup truck, use that, if you have an suv get a tail hitch mounted one

    • @FireandIceOutdoorGear

Hey John, nice trails you have in USA.
here's an advice from an ebike mechanic exploring the swiss alps on ebikes: you should get a mid drive motor ebike for climbing mountains.
Hub motor ebikes are more efficient on flat terrains and speed, but mid drive motor ebikes are way more efficient and they have way more torque than hub motor ebikes.
I have 5 fat hub motor ebikes and 4 mid dive ebikes, and when I do long multiple day bike packing, I always take my mid drive ebikes.
    Have fun.

Ok I will shut up after this, wish e-bikes were around in my younger days. We did ride dirt bikes, mine was a 1968 Yamaha DT 250, but we never went into places like that because of the damage to the environment.
I’m still thankful I was able to hike to and appreciate the solitude of the wilderness as there were fewer people then.
If I were to offer any advice to those generations behind me is Do it Now, the memories I have are priceless and the images of those places are forever with me. God didn’t put you here to be idle. A life well lived is to be able to look back without regret.
