I'm a 73 yr. old Canadian cyclist, and have always dreamed of an Adventure such as this, but for now, you make it posible through your eyes, your experience. Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful journey.
I’ve been cycling across the US in segments. As a complete coincidence, in September 2023, I stayed in the same room 47 in the same Royal Motel in Martinsville Indiana (see minute 18 !
@@vladywashereI also remember the Indian Family and the waving lucky cat (Maneko-neko) at the check in desk. Maybe they put all of the cyclists in that room. I remember parking my bike by the same window air conditioner. I also remember riding to the nice downtown square for some food. My map showed a bike trail on the side of the highway between downtown and the Royal Motel that was overgrown and not quite there anymore. 😊
As a cyclist, photographer, and traveler - an amateur in each! - I have the richest praise for this video. It's fascinating to see and experience America through the eyes of a visitor to our country. Thank you!
As a drone pilot I was fascinated by your perspectives, Vlad. As a retired cyclist, now, at 80 years old, riding an e-bike, your determination was great to experience. Congratulations on the ride, the production, and your valuable insights.
Well said! You know beside posting it here, having a document is more important than we can imagine. I don’t have footages of myself when I have young, a kid, and that’s a pity.
Brilliant! One of the best cycling videos in terms of camera work, narration and most importantly telling a story of a personal goal from heart! That drone shot of horses in Montana took my breath away!
Not a lot audience with you during the actual ride, but a lot of them now enjoying your beautiful and epic journey. Thank you for taking us along with you.
Cool video and it looks like it was a heck of a journey. I think my fellow Americans forget how massive, diverse, rugged and just plain beautiful our country try is. We sometimes need a foreign to remind us.
Very diverse. Among Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, the landscape can turn from humid forest to dry steppe in a couple of miles. You have space, a lot of emptiness that makes any trip look magnificent… and not only on movies.
I love watching ultracycling/long distance cycling documentaries, yours has to be one of the best I`ve ever seen! You did a great job condensing this enourmous jouney into a 80 min movie, a truly pleasure to watch and to listen too. Congratulations for completing this insane trip, and for this wonderful film! Thanks for sharing, best wishes!
It is a matter of time. The distance is doable, so it is about time. Time was the problem for me with my capacities. And time is a problem for documenting too. Not easy to cover 80 days.
Wow, amazing adventure. Great work with video editing. When I was 26 years old, I rode across the United States . It’s a wonderful, feeling discovering something new every day that you have never seen before.
Dear Vlady, usually I do not comment on YT videos but your movie made me want to contact you. Your movie took me away immediately! I was impressed by your footage, the esthetics of your camera work, the sound track and above all your thoughts and learnigs along the way! On top you gave me an impression of the United states I had never expected. I have a thousand questions about your journey - maybe I can cover them on your blog and website. Thank you for sharing your journey with the world!
Wow, thanks. Dunno, I am being myself. By riding a bike one have hands and legs busy but the brain keeps on working, Hence, the narration, the many considerations. You could subscribe and watch the episodes about the trip. Many are made on the way, edited with my phone using iMovie only. Check the playlists to find the episodes. And thanks again for your words, it makes me feel helpful and useful. After all is not just vlogging, but for a higher cause, inspiring others.
Right on, Brother! I'm 72, with a new hip and a new knee. I have been riding more than ever before. I am planning a 250 mile trip this summer, and this video has inspired me to follow my dreams. I have ridden most of my life, but have only started bike touring recently. I'm getting stronger and stronger, and as far as I'm concerned, the sky is the limit. What have I got to lose at my age? I'm freakishly healthy, and I might as well enjoy it. Thank you so much for the inspiration, the good vibes, the beautiful scenery, and the knowledge that we are, indeed, stronger and more resilient than we could ever imagine. Be Well, my friend, and Prosper!
You took the hard route across the US - from East to West full of headwinds, mostly alone. If you could do this route across the US you could do almost anywhere in the world. Looking forward to your next challenge on the bicycle.
Vlady, Thank you for sharing such a beautiful, difficult and breathtaking adventure with all of us. Such outstanding drone footage that captured the whole of that area you ventured through. The choice of music was at times spellbounding and enchanting along with the video of the wild horses. Such beauty you brought to life for us. Cheers...
Many thanks. If crossing the states isn’t easy, wrapping up a convincing or moving video, isn’t easy either. It was my very first major attempt, both with the ride and the video.
Vlady, I completed a similar ride this summer, traveling from San Diego to Dayton, OH. Covering 2,471 miles between 8 May to 6 July 2023. I averaged 54 miles for 46 days of riding. 14 days of non-riding for rest, weather, or medical (ulcers on both corneas caused by infection due to sweat, wind, & dirt. Your documentary reflects my journey and experiences pretty much exact. Visually, emotionally, physically, mechanically, experiences, almost identical! I took lots of pictures, but only a couple videos as I was mostly focusing on mentally managing each day. You superbly managed and documented in a way that truly captured every nuance of an endurance bikepacking adventure. I am halfway through your video and finding myself longing to get back on the road! Thank you!!!
Thanks! Not easy at all keeping the focus on the document and its need while cycling almost everyday for the most of the day. It is actually normal to be tired or not mentally orientated for reporting each stage.
Wow! A truly beautiful film and a fascinatingly different perspective on an incredibly diverse country. Those early cycle trails were just amazing! I had no idea they existed. As for the people you met along the way, they are what makes me believe America is the greatest country on the planet. Thank you so much, Sir. You've inspired me to keep cycling and maybe, one day, I'll do the same journey you did. ❤🎉😊
This was absolutely fantastic. So well done... both video and narrative. Seeing America through your eyes was refreshing. I sometimes forget what makes our country so great.
Glad you enjoyed it! Well, the USA is a very large mass of territory, most of which is naturally beautiful. don’t loose the trust and the faith about it.
Beautifully put together , narrated and shot. Congratulations. America is a beautiful country that for 99.9% of the time ignores its political unsteadiness.
This video helps to restore faith in Americans when all you see on the news and internet is depressing. Happy to see that small town living is still a thing. I knew there were trails for hiker/bikers but not as extensive as this video shows..
Rural / small town America is somehow at risk and the process isn’t new, but that is a global trend. Towns are wonderful, people are caring. Someone might not understand what we do, but great is also the numbers of cyclists that I have met and that are around this big nation.
Vlady, Thanks for creating and posting this wonderful video. Sometimes , I forget how wonderful and kind Americans can be to strangers. Unfortunately our country is going thru surreal political experience at this time. Your outlook and outsider views are sorely needed and appreciated. If you ever come back to Colorado please contact us as we would love to take you out to dinner and sightseeing in exchange for stories from the road.
Colorado Springs which is situated between Denver and Pueblo on the front range. Pueblo is on the Adventure Cycling Assoc. mid america route. I know the Trans AM riders pass through there in the spring.@@vladywashere
Whow !!! What an epic adventure!!! What a great video!!! What a brilliant music selection!!! What a great job you did!!! A big hug from a non cycelist, non backbacker girl from Germany 🤗
fastest ride on the trans am for me was between west yellow stone and ennis. Did the 52 miles in 2 and a half hours. everyday after that thru montana it was nothing but head winds. I did my ride about 10 years ago, and I think about it every day.. Getting ready to do a year long tour, or maybe just start living on my bike, and exploring the world.
I know that part. That stage goes north, probably you hade southernly winds. This is a trip of a lifetime, can even be not the longest, but in general is memorable.
This was absolutely epic and so well done. Excellent narration, editing and footage. I have done my own week-long bikepacking adventures along the US East Coast but my dream is to bike across the country like this (hopefully with less wind and heat!). What an absolute inspiration!
Glad you enjoyed it. The U.S. is so vast that the heat/cold will be there waiting for you at some point. Summer month are good in the elevated areas but not elsewhere. Springtime can be too cold for you to cross the Rockies. Cycling from west to east can help you with the wind but still, you’ll encounter a few days of disrupting wind.
How can one find words to adequately provide admiration for your journey? Not easy, my friend. Perhaps you were reminded of Churchill’s phrase….’Never give up. Never, never give up’. The filming and the dialogue was riveting. Your journey brings to mind the spellbinding and classic book Sailing Alone Around The World by Joshua Slocum. His, like yours, is an epic tale and one worth visiting. I’m 75 and have done some touring, although nothing that approaches your odyssey. But what survives 40 years and more from those adventures are the irreplaceable memories. A late companion lived by the motto…..’wear out, don’t rust out’. Your film should inspire anyone to get their carcasses off the chair and saddle up. They will never regret doing so. This is as good a cycling film as I’ve ever seen.
Thank you. Exactly. Creating memories help to live longer, or at least you have that sensation, because you have packed everyday with something memorable. Staying on a sofa will not help you in that direction.
This is really superb, I can completely relate each and everything you mentioned in the video other than the landscape. Though it was not lengthy and tough as yours, i also completed a recent cycle trip covering South to North of an Indian state- Kerala covering 900km in 9 days. Mine was more on beach side, a few kms through forest and a lot on hills and finally the worst in highways sharing road with heavy trucks and speedy cars. Not being a sports person and not sure of my limits, , just like you, I also didn't reveal my destination to anyone in the beginning, just told the cities coming next as destination, except for the last few days. Covered each day and place, with the spirit of crossing the levels of a video game. I was also overwhelmed by the greetings of people on the road. People asking about the journey, motive and destination. Offering tea, preparing food specially for me. Waving entree fee for me. Finally finishing the journey with the great feel of satisfaction and memories for life. Can't describe it fully. I always wondered why people going for this weird adventures and trip, i think now i know a bit of it, though not fully.
Excellent, glad to read your comment. Touring is very rewarding, especially when you don’t consider how efficient is a bicycle. You find yourself far away from the starting point and you realize that traveling like this is possibile, affordable and inspiring. No idea how India is, but must have been a great experience, memorable!
Absolutely spectacular video! I can’t believe this is just something I stumbled upon on RUclips. Very, very well done!! Our country is beautiful and this video shared it so well. Very entertaining!!
Glad you enjoyed it. With the same material (plus other, unused) I am planning to go deeper into this USA tour, as there is a high interest about it. I am eager to work on it, I really enjoyed that trip.
Excellent record of your great trip, Vlady. Having solo biked across Australia, then back, 40k km over four years, I can appreciate the effort you put into this. That drone provides a lot of context. My travels were from 2009 to 2013, so drones weren't a thing, and being remote much of the time on dirt roads away from town was unable to recharge batteries easily and didn't allow for much video footage. You nailed it, however, without being selfie-focused like so many bike touring. Inspiring stuff.
Sounds great! Today is a little easier. Power banks allow you to travel with energy. But consider, I even had my laptop with me. Of course, two battery for the drone. I also had to mind the energy consume, but I have managed. I have used the drone just once a week, on average.
Thank you for putting it all together in one video …. Rewatching again…. 💪💪👏👍🚲America beautiful 🇺🇸great adventure and narration 🙌🤟🌴🌴 “ they ( Americans) don’t set limits “ …..sooo true….this is the best description of Americans I have ever heard….. Living here for 30 years I approve your statement 😊 USA ❤️🇺🇸
What an excellent video. Amazing challenge you set yourself and you achieved it without ego and with great dignity. I salute you. I once managed a team supporting a rider in the Race Across America so I followed a cyclist doing this trip, West to East. They have to do it in 12 days, it is brutal. I think your pace was much better, you experience more and achieve more, speed is not necessarily the best thing. I hope you took the lessons of the ride into your life when you returned.
LOVED THIS!! Hearing your own thoughts, your feelings, your philosophies was so different and more interesting than simply hearing about the places and people. Thank you for taking the time to record and share. Good luck.
Thank you Frank - it’s not easy to tell a story, or, it’s very easy to fail engaging an audience. For sure a “holiday video” of just places and people isn’t enough - it’s good to add emotions, thoughts and data to complete the story. Thanks for taking your time and for reaching out. Vlady
Vlady, stunning, mesmerizing, exhilarating, captivating...simply incredible feat and videography for a solo adventure. You captured the vastness of the West and brought tears to my eyes. I can relate doing a 5-day bike packing trip across Vermont and shipping a box of unneeded stuff home.
Beautiful filming! So fun to watch as I just did the same route - must have been a couple of weeks ahead of you. I bet we met a lot of the same people along the way. Took lots of photos but your videos are so much better. Super fun to relive the experience. Thank you! can't wait to get back out there!
No way! Sharing experience is amazing. There are things we only can understand. Each part had a particular challenge. Thanks for taking your time for my video and for posting your comment 💙
This is an absolute stunning video, the best bike ride video I have ever seen on RUclips. Camera work, text, unique voice - marvelous. I hope Netflix will buy it and make you rich;-) I have some experience in the alps, but consider a longer trip recently. Such an inspiration.
Thank you so much for the wonderful presentation. My wife and I cycled from Seaside, Oregon to Bar Harbor, Maine, in 2016. We were on the same Rte. 12 along the Clearwater River, though we stayed north and included Ontario on our way across. Watching your story brought back all the good memories. The photography sets a new standard! So glad to have you visit our splendid country.
There's a concept known as "Stealth Camping". Camp out of sight. Put your tent up right as it gets dark. There's almost nowhere in the USA where you can't pitch a tent. If the cops come, they'll just ask you to leave (if that). I pedaled the Katy Trail and couldn't find camping twice. Just pitched my tent on the side of the trail at dusk and was gone at first light. A few folks that saw me just went by and laughed.
@@vladywashere BTW the "sold out" soda machine you show in Tebbetts, Missouri...I just bought a coke there on Monday. The Katy trail is awesome. Thanks for sharing your videos!
Holy molly, this is one of those videos that leaves kind of speechless and a bit empty once you see it. One of those videos that you click on by chance but that leaves you more inspired than ever before to leave you nest and just fly away. Thank you vlady for this gem. What an extraordinary video.
compliments for your high standards film .Beautifull footage and showing the landscape and people just as i experienced in 1979 riding bicyle from the west coast to the eastcoast. (trans america bicycle trail) . great job, thanx
I watched a lot of bikepacking documentaries and films, but I have to say that this one beats them all. The production of the movie, the drone shots, the way you presented the landscape and the percpetive of the movie is incredible. Thank you for this experience and that you shared this with us. Well done for the insane trip taht you did. Thumbs up.
Great to hear that - it was difficult to put together an 80 days trip full of emotions but I’m glad that people like you take their time to watch it. Sharing passions!
Very well done video, enjoyable to watch. I always said that I wouldn't want to have this kind of gigantic bike trip but after watching your video I may consider. Well done, good job putting this all together!👍
Well said! Consider the option to take more zero miles days or have an entire week break in the middle of your journey. I had 7 days off on a total of 80, which isn’t enough for the most of us.
you sir are an inspiration! Thank you so very much for this insight into a cyclists mind and the task at hand of cycling through a vast country. Excellent in every respect!
It is amazing to see the wonderful USA with your eyes. As a Fat-Bike-Fan. I am planing to cross the USA one day. Your tour report gave me allots of impression. Any way, I am happy that your experience was complete, and I am sorry that your expensive parcel never arrived. lol
You should! The mistake with that parcel was mine indeed, as I have reported myself as sender and receiver and my partner couldn’t get it here, as in Sweden there are not flexible. The box went back to the states and nothing else to do from my side. The US POST didn’t take any further action.
Vlady, first and foremost, thank you for taking the time to put your adventure out here for the world to enjoy! You did an amazing job at editing and narration, I'm in awe. At the age of 26 in 2000, I myself, went on a journey much similar to yours, from Spokane, WA to Washington, DC in 48 days. You rode MANY more miles than we did, though. Your trip brought back a flood of emotions and memories......the rolling hills in Ohio, but more importantly the beauty of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. The Bitterroot Valley holds a very special place in my heart and one that I will keep until my final days. Watching your adventure today reminds me to not take anything for granted, that we're stronger than we think, and seeing this beautiful country at 15mph is very special and I think allowed us to appreciate nature, much more so than riding in a vehicle. Bravo on your journey. They are life changing experiences.
Thank you for putting together a video that shows how nice and friendly America can be. Being local American, one just often hears how much better some other location can be. I know that is not the point, but it just seems rare to hear it. It also helps me want to make the bike ride along the length of Florida in the near term. Not as long as your own trip, but something interesting to see a lot of the state.
Well said! Amaricans are mostly great and helpful people. The best way is to experience that yourself. Europeans and Americans will always click, we are different but yet similar.
I rode from Savannah, Georgia to Key West a few years ago. That was epic! You really cannot understand the sheer enormity of Florida until you have ridden it. Highly recommend.
Thank you, Very well done it was good to look back over your tour. And it was grate to have met you in St Charles Mo. and to follow you on your tour here on RUclips and Facebook. I hope to see you again one day my friend.
Thanks for sharing this highly entertaining and thoughtful movie. Great to hear the reflexions of a very good observer who is not interested in records but still pushes for an amkazing goal. Amazing pictures as well, thank you very much indeed!
Beautifully shot and edited; the soundtrack was perfect and your narrative inspiring. Thank you for sharing this. What an incredible adventure you had; your endurance in such hot and challenging conditions produced a film of great beauty.
Thanks. Very hot for the most of the days. However, the summer is the best season for this whole trip. Nights would be too cold in both spring and autumn on the Rockies.
Filmed through european eyes, this is the most beautiful documentation of an US-crossing by bike I have seen so far. Thank you very much for it. If I understand it right, the best way to travel from east to west ist taking yourself and your bike on a plane to Denver and start from there. So one saves a lot of time avoiding the boring and laborious flats of the midwest...
Glad you enjoyed it! I have heard the plane to Denver solution already, from an American, in my hotel stay in Cumberland. It was my day 4 I think. He told me straight: fly directly there. Enjoy the west and stay there longer. True in a way, BUT, for cyclists like me the whole route is the destination. And the destination, Oregon, for me was just the last place, but not the goal. The goal is doing it by myself all the way, including the non spectacular sections, the landscape of Ohio or Indiana. Which are not bad, but not special for a European. In Kansas and Nebraska I saw it changing, and became very charming. Hard but memorable. The documentary shows this too; I guess the second part is richer in emotions.
How quickly I became invested in watching your journey! As an American cyclist that now lives abroad, it was lovely to see my old country presented so positively. Your filmmaking was extraordinary from the narration through to the drone footage. Well done, and thank you for the time and effort you put into making the film, and completing the ride.
Wonderful! generally speaking we cyclists from other countries have a positive experience in the U.S., considering the places, the exceptional landscapes etc :)
What an epic adventure. Perhaps one day me and my wife will do. However time will catch up on us if we procrastinate! Well done Vlady... it's Vlady Good!
I loved this Vlady. The cinematography, like the commentary and riding, became more confident the further west you rode. I was expecting to fast forward a lot but found myself entranced, especially after you made it through Nebraska. And, having moved to the States from Europe nearly 25 years ago, I enjoy seeing these landscapes through the eyes of someone viewing them for the first time; they are indeed awe-inspiring. I watched it with my son who is trying to get his act together to do a similar ride but with detours to see friends in various universities across the country. LOL. Maybe he will move out before too long, and I will have time for my own adventures. I am glad yours had such a significant impact on you. Thank you, Wil
Thanks a lot for your words :) It’s a conbination of many factors. Proceeding west I have put miles under my wheels; that is experience and I needed one. But the landscapes help, too. I remember a guy in a hotel in Cumberland, day 4 or 5. He told me to “fly directly to Denver. There starts the magic”. So it’s like complex to say why the video is actually better on the second half. The music does a better match. Everything made more sense. I started to believe in it. I understood the privilege. But when it comes to riding, a trip like this isn’t only riding one direction. It is a logistic adventure, a strategy game. Filming is also challenging. It’s telling what, thinking what, filming what. Speaking in front of a camera and telling how the day was, diary like, is today not sufficient, unless you are a star with a massive audience.
I enjoyed the personal narration along the way. The spaghetti Western music with Western scenery was not lost on me. I have seen most all of those areas in my youth, and it was nice to see them again. His journey was internal and external at the same time. For being in a hurry, he sure took allot of time off to film. I always try to let the ride rule and not let the camera take over the experience. I as a USA local it is always better to start in the West and ride East and let the prevailing winds push you along. The USA is a large country, and many types of bike clothes are needed to stay comfortable. Thank you for stopping by to ride my country and we hope you can come again.
Lovely message, great to read. This is my third trip to the USA, my first on my bike. I have learned to care about you, and I love the places. My pleasure.
The biking weather is getting great here in Southern Ohio, on the 327 mile long Erie to Ohio trail. Let me know if you will be passing through. Happy trails!@@vladywashere
Fantastic videography and narration. I watched this while riding my bike on the trainer. It is very motivating. All I can say is thanks for this. Having ridden my bike across the USA myself, I understand the mental stamina and determination required to accomplish this journey. Well done.
Well done. Congratulations on an incredible achievement. Your telling and showing of the epic crossing was honest. I wonder, could I do it? Could I handle the challenge physically and emotionally? Would I have the courage to set off on such a journey?
I wasn't sure at all. I was completely caught by the so called Imposter syndrome. In order to see whether I was right or wrong, I had to try it on my skin. Only be trying I was able to kick away that bad feeling.
Wow, what a great documentary. Watched it over 2 days and it gave me complete escapism from the politically decisive world we live in and retuned me to the wonderful world we really are. ❤
Great video and narration. I have been cross country twice, both west to east and both with commercial tour companies. In both cases the group was about 50 cyclists. Going west to east gave us fewer days of head wind. Going with a group of fifty ment that we were able to find others of similar abilities to be our riding companions and did not suffer from much of the isolation you felt. Thank you for reminding me of those simple days.
A fabulous insightful video documenting a unique journey.. Thank you. I was thinking, who would be crazy enough to bring the weight of a drone on a cycle trip? I am so glad you did, the photography captivating. Thank you again

As an Ohioan, I'm told that we're very friendly people. I'd venture a guess that anyone in the rural areas would be happy to top off your water bottles, and even offer food or a place to stay. Circleville is 20 min southeast of my home. It is indeed a very close-knit community with multi-generations of families there. Cool video! I will continue to watch the rest of it until it is finished! Thanks for posting!
Outstanding job of capturing your journey. Thank God for people like yourself that do what seems impossible, and help to inspire the rest of us to go out and create our own adventures!
What an amazing thing you have done! I have seen many, really many bicycle touring movies and this one is the best. Everything is perfect, from your narration, footages, soundtrack.... It was like I was travelling with you. And some comments that you made along the way were my exact thoughts and observations while I travelled. Thank you! You will see how great it is when many years later some thing somewhere, a smell or just anything, reminds you of a place you've cycled here and the scene becomes alive again... All the best!

Thank you so much for the inspiration, the good vibes, the beautiful scenery, and the knowledge that we are, indeed, stronger and more resilient than we could ever imagine. Be Well, my friend, and Prosper!
Greeeeat words my friend! Step by step and everything is possible!
@@vladywashere Keep up the good work!
You took the hard route across the US - from East to West full of headwinds, mostly alone. If you could do this route across the US you could do almost anywhere in the world. Looking forward to your next challenge on the bicycle.
There is no real difference which direction you are riding. This is a myth.
@@vladywashere You do absolutely wonderful work on and off the bike! Thank you so much. John
Everything is possible. Life is good when we decide to challenge ourselves..
And we know it ;)
Absolutely brilliant! Such a wonderful journey! When I saw this video, I could imagine myself on the road with you.
If you cycle you know it ❤
Vlady, I completed a similar ride this summer, traveling from San Diego to Dayton, OH.
❤🎉😊
Thanks for taking your time and showing your appreciation 🤩❤️
This was absolutely fantastic. So well done... both video and narrative. Seeing America through your eyes was refreshing. I sometimes forget what makes our country so great.
Glad you enjoyed it! Well, the USA is a very large mass of territory, most of which is naturally beautiful. don’t loose the trust and the faith about it.
Beautifully put together , narrated and shot. Congratulations. America is a beautiful country that for 99.9% of the time ignores its political unsteadiness.
Also a touring cyclist I think this is a marvelous ride you’ve shared with me. Thanks!
My pleasure! Telling the tale is part of the adventure.
Thank you so much. Amazing and complex Colorado. Where about?
Colorado Springs which is situated between Denver and Pueblo on the front range. Pueblo is on the Adventure Cycling Assoc. mid america route. I know the Trans AM riders pass through there in the spring.@@vladywashere
Whow !!! What an epic adventure!!! What a great video!!! What a brilliant music selection!!! What a great job you did!!! A big hug from a non cycelist, non backbacker girl from Germany 🤗
:D Danke!!!
fastest ride on the trans am for me was between west yellow stone and ennis.
Glad you enjoyed it! Spectacular indeed, or, spettacolare
is this the best cycling journey video on the internet?wow.
Maybe not, but I can do better (and this is my first long video)
Well done my cyclist brother, really enjoyed this film. Thank you for sharing your journey.
It’s part travel documentary and part art-house movie. I love it!
thanks, it wasn't my goal. I have plenty of footage "left" and I might do something artistic with it in the future
Congratulations on completing a trip many dream of but will never do.
Awesome video.
Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for watching! Yes, it is classic, and I’d love to do something of this kind again
Living here for 30 years I approve your statement 😊 USA ❤️🇺🇸
in Europe we are afraid of let our dreams flying high :) thank you for your words
That's because there are no limits other than those we allow to be set. If you believe anything is possible then it is, somehow, someday, somewhere ;)
Vlady
Extremely entertaining narrative, with all the true poignancy of long bike rides. Excellent job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! Shipping parcels is indeed a solution; I have followed other’s examples.
Thanks for this lovely video memory of your trip. It evokes memories of my ride down the Pacific coast in September of 1980.
Glad you enjoyed it! Great Respect for anyone who did this back then, without bike computers, smartphones or Goretex :)
This is an absolute stunning video, the best bike ride video I have ever seen on RUclips. Camera work, text, unique voice - marvelous. I hope Netflix will buy it and make you rich;-) I have some experience in the alps, but consider a longer trip recently. Such an inspiration.
Wow, thank you! Very different from the Alps, as I shown. I definitely would love to find more cycling adventures on Netflix!
I was glued to the screen to see the development of your adventure. Well done.
Grazie Ivo! Mi fa piacere intercettare ogni tanto qualche italiano. Questo video è anche il Italiano, lo trovi qui in una playlist specifica.
Wonderful! I am very, very attracted by the natural beauty found in the USA. this was my third trip, but the first time by bicycle.
Well you have seen more of America than most Americans...I salute you sir.
Ah, I have been in the U.S. other times too. Love it.
What an epic and brave adventure, truly special to see and thank you for sharing your journey with us.
My pleasure, sincerely
There's a concept known as "Stealth Camping". Camp out of sight. Put your tent up right as it gets dark. There's almost nowhere in the USA where you can't pitch a tent. If the cops come, they'll just ask you to leave (if that). I pedaled the Katy Trail and couldn't find camping twice. Just pitched my tent on the side of the trail at dusk and was gone at first light. A few folks that saw me just went by and laughed.
Yeah, I have done it but mostly in Scandinavia. The best is to select the spot during the day, then coming back in the evening.
@@vladywashere BTW the "sold out" soda machine you show in Tebbetts, Missouri...I just bought a coke there on Monday. The Katy trail is awesome. Thanks for sharing your videos!

Wow ! This is an amazing video with outstanding narration. Congratulations on your adventure and many thanks for sharing it with us. 👍
Holy molly, this is one of those videos that leaves kind of speechless and a bit empty once you see it. One of those videos that you click on by chance but that leaves you more inspired than ever before to leave you nest and just fly away.
Thank you vlady for this gem. What an extraordinary video.
Thanks. My initial goal was to be informative, but while editing I considered to do the extra mile.
compliments for your high standards film .Beautifull footage and showing the landscape and people just as i experienced in 1979 riding bicyle from the west coast to the eastcoast. (trans america bicycle trail) . great job, thanx
Marvelous, riding in the ‘79 must have been even more epic.
Bravo! You're determination and tenacity is admirable and inspiring! Congratulations!
So happy to give these emotions back 👍❤️
This is a dream of mine. You reignited the passion for it with your beautiful storytelling and cinemetogrpahy!
Wow, thank you!
you sir are an inspiration! Thank you so very much for this insight into a cyclists mind and the task at hand of cycling through a vast country. Excellent in every respect!
My pleasure. It truly was.
I admire your perseverance, it is something that i always dreamt to do, Cycling around the World. Greetings from the African continent.
I would also like to cycle that far, from Europe to somewhere! 😍
This is one of the best youtube videos I've ever seen!
What an incredible journey. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bravo! I took 2 days to watch the entire video and loved every second of it! Epic!
Haha, like watching a movie on Netflix, falling asleep and then finishing it the day after
You saw more then any American will every see. ! Great job
Awesome video
Love it
Oh btw lol
It’s Illinois with out the s
haha, alright! mystery! You also say Kansas like "kansas"... but Arkansas... NOT :D
Thank you for your words. I guess you know, since you did it. Spokane to Washington DC is a lot! And you were very fast
Thanks for the awesome video and motivation. I'm working to get myself on a bikepacking trip.
Go for it! That’s the whole point. Propaganda 😃
Thank you, Very well done it was good to look back over your tour. And it was grate to have met you in St Charles Mo. and to follow you on your tour here on RUclips and Facebook. I hope to see you again one day my friend.
Thank you very much for being an open, caring and loyal person 🤝
@@vladywashere You are very welcome
Nice you did the lewis and clark from missoula, I love that route.

the wild horse video was awesome
Thanks for sharing this highly entertaining and thoughtful movie. Great to hear the reflexions of a very good observer who is not interested in records but still pushes for an amkazing goal. Amazing pictures as well, thank you very much indeed!
The records are for those riding always on the same roads! ;)
Very nice video. I enjoyed sharing in your journey as I watched the whole video in one sitting. It made for a peaceful evening. Thanks for posting it.
YT has never offered me a cycling road trip till today. I am so glad they offered yours. This was very enjoyable and informative. Thank you
Glad it was helpful and to be useful.
This movie was really awesome! I've enjoyed your whole entire journey! Very inspirational.
Thanks for taking your time, it means a lot to me
I peddled clear to the ocean.
And when I got there, I figured, I might just as well keep going.
Your video makes me want to ditch my ebike for awhile and purchase a regular bike and take off. What a great video. Good for you!
What an epic adventure. Perhaps one day me and my wife will do. However time will catch up on us if we procrastinate! Well done Vlady... it's Vlady Good!
Exactly! Never postpone something that can be done tomorrow to an undefined date in the future!
I have missed that one, and I was indeed very close!
you made my day! tears of joy in my eyes! way to go.
You seeee!!! This wouldn’t happen by car! 😀
Fantastic videography and narration. I watched this while riding my bike on the trainer. It is very motivating. All I can say is thanks for this. Having ridden my bike across the USA myself, I understand the mental stamina and determination required to accomplish this journey. Well done.
Thanks for watching and great that you have experienced something similar!
Great video - thanks for sharing and congratulations on your epic voyage!
Thanks so much!
Wow, what a great documentary. Watched it over 2 days and it gave me complete escapism from the politically decisive world we live in and retuned me to the wonderful world we really are. ❤
Words!
Thank you Anna. The drone is only 249 grams. The controller is not heavy either. It takes some space, but nowadays it is a choice by many :)

Awesome video and a truly rememberable journey, I’m glad that I was able to watch this and share the journey with you
As an Ohioan, I'm told that we're very friendly people.

What an amazing journey. Thank you for sharing it with us. Your video production is first class.
Hope so, I am trying my best, also cos I really want to improve my editing skills. It’s cool but demanding job and I only have a 13’ laptop
Outstanding job of capturing your journey. Thank God for people like yourself that do what seems impossible, and help to inspire the rest of us to go out and create our own adventures!
Thanks to both of you! :) exactly, I personally thought it wasn't doable or I wasn't sure I could do it within the 90 days of my visa.
