- It's Been 4-Months since I picked up the Carsoll 13in Tesla Style Radio and installed it in my 2010 F150 Platinum!

Don't know if anyone mentioned this yet. If they have, sorry for repeating it but if they haven't then you may wish to take a look at this. The hissing noise you here is most likely caused by the noise canceling system that the Sony package has integrated into it. When I had my 2013 fusion with the Sony sound, I had the same issue. The solution is that you need to disconnect the microphones that are mounted beneath the interior upholstery on the roof of the truck. In the fusion they were located almost directly above where a persons head would be when witting in the front seats. If you feel around a bit up under the upholstery, you should be able to locate either the mics or the wires that connect them down to thr system. Simply disconnect them by cutting the wires to the mics and the hissing should disappear completely.

Like your post on the unit. I just install the 13.1 in my Avalanche and so far it is working for the essential stuff. I am just getting familiar with the unit and how to modify the settings. I like that the WiFi does both 2.4 and 5g. It connected my steering controls with no problem. I must say the amount of RCA connectors were overwhelming and took some time to connect them to the right connection but even now I think I may need to change something. I do have a remedy for the hissing in your speaker that I found work for me even with other after-market system - use a RCA Line ground loop noise isolator between the RCA inputs. I used the InstallGear set from Amazon - less than $20. I like your setup and good luck with it.

Hello. Thank you for purchasing this unit with us. As for backup camera image quality and brightness you can actually adjust it - put in reverse, then click somewhere on the left side of the screen (left side of backup camera image) and backup camera image settings will appear.
I would like to purchase this unit how much is it ?
How do you retain the functionality of the 6 buttons that come off the OEM radio? I only see a slot for the traction control, hazards, and passenger airbag. Where is the info and setup buttons?

Hey! Thanks for the review on this, really contemplating buying this unit for my 2012 Platinum. If I only cared about the apple carplay aspect of it, would you say its reliable? I really don't have any need for any of the other features on this thing because I really only use the carplay for my maps, music etc....thanks so much!

My bluetooth wont connect from time to time in my newer ford vehicles with built in car play! so that seems to be an issue across the board. Thanks for the video. I have a 2013 F150 Raptor and want to update the screen and add carplay

the stock camera that came with the truck.. was the reverse image on the rearview mirror or did you have a similar radio with large screen? I have a 2012 and my reverse camera shows on the mirror... very small.
What happened to the instrument cluster Info/Reset/Unit buttons? Did those get integrated into the headunit?

How did you swap the buttons on the top left? For hazards, traction control and passenger airbag? The unit online doesn’t have those buttons it has other ones.
Called a shop asking about these for my 2012 f150 and they said it doesn’t interface with my vehicle. They use the linkswell tablets. So not sure if that was the problem or not.
If you have an after-market camera for recording the front / rear view or an after-market backup camera on my camper, is it possible to see the camera from the screen?

They need to be added (cut in) or there is no spot for them.
I have had mine for about 7 months .. I love it i dont know why you get the bluetooth an wifi bugs i never had that happen on mines at all

Hey John! Were you able to match the sound quality of your original equipment with the equalizer of this unit? Or the original sound still better even after adjusting the sliders?
I still preferred the original sound…but with a little adjustment it doesn’t sound bad to me
When you hooked up the sub did you use the sun output
One question, do your steering wheel controls work with it. Like volume, skip, phone?
Do the guide lines on the reverse camera curve when you turn the steering wheel like they do with the factory head unit?
they have this new update for it that will fix a lot of those problems
How did you get to connect the carplay wirelessly? Mine only connects with the cable. Also all music from the Bluetooth sounds super distorted. Have you had any similar issues?
man it just connected via bluetooth out the box...I didn't have to do anything...but there are moments when it fails and I just plug up the cable

Does you ac turn itself off every time you turn off the truck? Seen other videos where you have to turn it back on each time you get in the truck
Mines turns on and off with the truck…no issues with having to turn it back on or off when I remove the key
Does it support the blindspot function?
Can you still control the truck menu on the steering wheel dash area? Are you able to manual deploy the running boards etc?

He switched one of the buttons to the “info” button for the dash that was on the original radio

I would…audio quality changed a little…but mines came with a graphic EQ that allow me to make adjustments

Haven’t…but sirrus and all them just have regular apps that work with CarPlay through their apps and over your internet connection

I had my unit a lil ova a year for my jaguar xf. There is no sound now. I've been contacting the company for trouble shooting. It plays sound when it wants too. 🤔

How do you use a I-Pod with this system?
I have the same issue just posted a video on this. I have the android 10 model and the WiFi auto cuts off on the screen when it auto connects to Bluetooth/CarPlay. They cancel each other out basically Bluetooth has to be off to ensure WiFi stays on its very annoying. If you find a fix for this let me know. I do have pheonix auto calling me Monday to talk on a fix for it will let you know. I think wireless car play uses WiFi even if your phone doesn’t say it which conflicts with system WiFi from your hotspot. A wire in might fix that issue but you’d probably have to turn WiFi off on your phone lol.

@@dirtytell yeah so they gave me an update. It’s either one or the other unfortunately. Straight WiFi or WiFi and Bluetooth with car play 🤦

I was told to implement its own symm card for connection issues. But Ive had speratic reception issues on radio and a couple times while backing the camera image froze and a moment later unfroze. The front camera image is not that sharp. My gps camera is better and records

Shit!! All of the cons you named i have those same issues on my 22 navigator.. sometimes hotspot randomly disconnects, sometimes Bluetooth won't connect or will disconnect while on a call... been back to the dealer a dozen times for it... im over it😩

I just added an Apple CarPlay screen in my F150 and left the rest as stock 🤷♂️🤷♂️ only paid $150 for the 11” HD screen a way cheaper option in my opinion.
