Someone let the smoke out.😒 Almost as bad as losing a phase in a 3 phase system and smoking a compressor. Keep up the refrigeration videos. I am a retired Red Seal Journeyman and the solenoid is for a pump down system and that brings back memories.

I work at a refrigeration supply house just an FYI if customer can afford it its best to order OEM motors because they are made waterproof so when whoever(as in a noncontractor or hopefully not the same person who wired the motors you changed out)decides to clean that evaporator coil they don't get water in them and short them out. Also helps in the case the defost clock sticks or leak and you have to go in with hose and hot water and manually defrost the coil to start working on it.
Other than that excellent videos keep them coming.
Refrigeration pays way more than residential a/c anyday and its nonstop.

@@TaddyDigest No prob wish I had a great technician/installer like you in my area to sell parts/equipment to. Nowadays it's getting tough to sell because I see less and less people getting into this industry. Also no jokes love the fact that you are teaching your son. Keep the videos coming man.
Also, if you have a refrigeration supply house in your area stop in and ask about classes they offer, my company offers classes all the time for us behind the counter and for you in the field(it's actually where I learned about those motors because I didn't know either). Take care, stay safe and again keep the videos coming.

I use regular wire nuts (a tube of silicone sealer)
and put the sealer in the wire nut (one swipe) without getting in on my hands...
A tube of silicone sealer goes a long way...
    What ever is your preference!
    Good Job Tad!👍
