Hi Waleska. If you want to react for other mindblowing spanish performance try to react to Darren Espanto Singing Despacito... .Thank you so much..🥰🥰🥰
Have you seen a video of Leah Salonga speaking Spanish. She's indeed very fluent. Try to see her video.
Waleskaplease watch the laurel family.. . . Dinnes ,franco and the rest of ther family. They are all singers.
"It's good to be reminded of the greatest sacrifice everyday"
Indeed. 🙌🙏
I love it when this kind of reaction turns into something other than the review of the performance itself. When it goes deeper than just mere reaction but struck a lesson, a conversation or a philosophy in life to talk about. It makes watching or listening to the reaction more interesting and enjoyable.❤️❤️❤️
Their philosophical views and opinions are one of the things i look forward to in their reaction vids. Both siblings had their own things to say that really makes sense and most of the time strikes a note that either makes you assess your views or be in awe..
This song is a rendition of suffering of Jesus Christ down to Calvary. Lea's singing was like she was one in the crowd testifying to what happened. Feels real to me ( goose bumps all over my body ) her interpretation- vision like you're there too.
What I really like when Lea sings a musical piece like this is how she interprets the song with feelings. I believe that Wale sees the minute details of the true interpretation of a song.
Efra said "spanish" is the perfect language to convey pain and love... that's exactly what I feel for tagalog, for me it's the most romatic language in the world, specially when you hear it in a song. That's why I really like it every time you react to a tagalog songs and you search the lyrics and translations and you like it, it really makes me proud of our language :)
I can’t wait for you to guest Ms.Lea Salonga.
Me too. The only podcast i've been waiting for.
@@labellavita12 sameeeeee
I totally support that
Absolutely!!!
That would be DOPE. It's gonna be fun to watch her in your podcast
Let's go guys...put her on 🤞
Yeah go for Leah for your next list
Spanish used to be a part of the college curriculum here in the Philippines. I wonder if she took it too, however, she is so talented that I believe she can sing in any language and nail it...
I get you Waleska, hearing a song in a language you actually speak adds so much more to a song.
Lea was my contemporary, and we did not have anymore Spanish subject in college.
Lea has sung songs with elements of English, Filipino (and there are several different Filipino dialects/languages so I’m not sure how many besides the National language), Spanish, French, Italian, and German.
The Philippines has a very popular and beautiful singer, now considered a diva matriarch, presently in her late 70's or maybe already at 80 but still so beautiful. Her name is Ms. Pilita Corrales.
please do react to "Eres Tu" Live in Uruguay by Philippine Madrigal Singers
Yesss
Up !
I've watched it a million times. I hope they react to it. That's beyond everything I've watched on RUclips.
yes please
Yes please🙏🙏
There was a famous meme that when people try to sing with Lea S. They are pressured to meet up standards of Leah because they said she never missed a note an pitch a tone
Her voice is CLEAR, like an Angel
Il Divo had a concert tour, with Lea Salonga as their guest, years ago. I hope you can react to their rendition of "Conte Partiro". Lea was also a guest in Josh Groban's concert in Manila and they sang "All I Ask of You". Please react to that performance, too. ❤
All of those Il Divo concert tour were sold out. I have watched one of their concert live myself it was awesome. ❤️ Goosebumps.
"...conveying pain,
expressing love."
Very articulate of Efra, using four simple words combined to communicate deeply profound ideas.
We also call holy week here as "Semana Santa" 😁 we also find it hard to sing it during masses as choir. To control both tears and right tune.
These two are my new fave 🤩🤩🤩
The BEST Leah Salongga
THE ONLY REACTORS WHO SHARE LONG REFLECTIONS, EXPERIENCES WITH SENSE. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SHARING THAT IS WHY I'M SUBSCRIBED!!!
Such wise young people, there is hope for the future, love your thoughtfulness and explanations.
The Choir is the Unitef States Military Academy at West Point Choir... Seeing and listening to them live is ethereal; I had the privilege of listening to them perform at the Bicentennial gala of the West Point Band in Lincoln Center in New York ..check out their " Mansion Of the Lord" number. You'll discover an emotional level. 😊
I used to sing this version during holy week in our church. This reaction brings back many memories when I was still in a choir. ♥️♥️♥️
You are two of the most musically sensible reactors ever!
Agree...both of you always give justice to the pieces you react to. Lea Salonga has interpreted the song "Via Dolorosa" with such depth and emotion...it makes me realize the pain and suffering that Jesus Christ underwent on the way to Calvary.🙏
I love how you make the reactions of our Filipina Divas..from Pilita Corrales, Regine Velasquez, and Lea Salonga, it was so amazing that you appreciate also our pride and honor of the Philippines... Filipinas always sing from their hearts and kudos to both of you that you share and make them appreciated also once more.😍😊
That voice of Lea Salonga is CLEARER THAN MY FUTURE. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
hope you can also have ms. lea salonga on your podcast it will be amazing to see her as well. God bless you and your family and always stay safe .
I like how Waleska analyzes the form and the emotion behind the composition and the composer, because it is how on can appreciate the art and artistry behind the piece, and Efra is being challenged to see things in a different point of view.
No wonder I'm so hooked to your Feature Fridays.
I had chills and my eyes watered a little bit….wow. Bravo…..
The song depicts the sorrow of Mary on the pains and suffering of her son JC...yes, its intense and lea was perfect for it.🖒
It's 7:15am here in the PH. And waking up to see this is just amazing ✨✨✨ ohh my Lea ❤👌
Thanks guys 😊😍
i love how you guys notice the little things never noticed by other reactors.
This is the first time I heard this song from Lea and it is so emotional and powerful that I got chills and a teary eyes, too. Watching from Illinois USA: 06-11-2021.
Nice reactions, guys.
Another Lea vid that you can maybe check out is her concert tour in collaboration with IL Divo. They sang Time to Say Goodbye.
I second this suggestion.
I'm Thirding it.......
Yes. Please react also to Lea and Il Divo singing The Music of the Night. Thank you.
Lea Salonga is very much sought for by many international musical artists because of her WORLD-CLASS vocal talents and artistry. Our Philippine pride!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Listening to Lea sing is always like a religious experience. She could be singing LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN and it would be a masterpiece.

Road to 1 million
Bravooooo!..siiiii
Please react to Lea's Vanilla Ice Cream or her entire Sydney concert available on PBS or youtube!
A MAJORITY of Filipino language and culture comes from Spanish influence (due to our country having been conquered by Spain), so her pronunciation of the Spanish portion of the song is, to no surprise, top notch
Yay! I was waiting for you guys to react to this! As always, Leah does not disappoint. 😍
Beautiful emotional performance. So deep. And I enjoy your English conversations, so British.
Thank you very much for reacting to this one!😍 Love it so much!❤️ More power to your channel!👏👏👏

What a brilliant critic!!! I have been your fan, Waleska!♥️♥️♥️
I live in a particular city here in the Philippines called “ Zamboanga City” our local dialect here is called “chavacano” and it sounds a bit spanish so it's not that difficult to speak spanish language. Greetings from the Philippines waleska
You're both right, this is what separates Lea from all of our great singers, she's been trained since she was just a child in theater performance, SHE CAN ENACT the lyrics in a song....yeah!
I was moved .i got teary eyed.😥🙏
First time to hear this Via Dolorosa and oh GOD i am crying😥❤️🙏
Amen
wow. what a profound reaction. ♥
the girl is smart. knowledgeable. worth listening
I love how her voice can smoothly transition feom high notes to soft and mellow.. and her high notes doesn't sound like she's screaming..
I love Lea
Spanish = expressing love & conveying pain. Efra, you are on-point.
Ok. Another Lea Salonga reaction from you guys. Relax self. Calm yourself. Don't shout. Breath in. Breath out. Okay, I'm calm now.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh
Lea is also an actress and she can sing any song as if she is playing a character. She is good at bringing emotion to a song.
I love these reactions ❤️ I'm so happy

Spanish used to be a part of college curiculum in the Philippines. It’s very possible that Lea learned the language when she was in the University.
Have you seen a video of Leah Salonga speaking Spanish. She's indeed very fluent. Try to see her video
Sorry. She can't..she only read through a teleprompter during the il divo spiel. I actually had a video and she answered a tweet about that. Here you can check here ruclips.net/video/_JyJqV0iG0k/видео.html
Very intelligent argument Efra!Waleska you're so awesome explaining things regarding music.awesone sibs!!👏👏👏👏👏👏
In the Philippines (or the province of Cebu specifically, where I'm from), Dolorosa is what the path mother Mary took on the way to her Son's grave after He died on the cross.
Thanks for this I know you'll love this leah salongga one of regine velasquez influences her first album was when she was a child

I appreciate the effort both of you put in the video. Even with outfits.
The original singer of this sonf is Sandi Patty, a famous American Christian Gospel singer, this song was recorded in the 80’s.
I love the discourse. Very, very enlightening.
Stand Ye Steady is an album by the West Point Glee Club. Lea Salonga is a special guest on this track. The rest of the album is also very moving. It's on streaming platforms and I have this track, Via Dolorosa, on repeat for years now and it still never fails to move me.
It's Lea Salonga's exceptional voice quality that truly suits this musical piece, "Via Dolorosa" and her performance is giving the true emotion of the song. Bravo, Ms. Lea Salonga!
A breath of fresh air!!! Totally appropriate for the times. 👏👏👏
Beautiful song! Nice reaction...
