People don't realize that getting upset over the shape of the guitar is playing into MGK's hands. He just wants attention, positive or negative. Musicians should just stick to what they're doing and don't even have to be fans of other bands, but still wish each other success.

I remember a Type O Negative CD that had an insert in the case that read "Express yourself" and had a picture of a pill, noose, razor blade and gun on it

To me, the razor-guitar looks so "Towdally 1980's". I remember so many pencil sketches of razorblade and Axe shaped guitars from those days.

When I was 13 in the '90s, I wore a T-shirt for the Bush album "Razorblade Suitcase". I'd get canceled for that now.
I wish I had the photo of it, but my Dad turned a Steinberger bass into this design back in the 90s. It wasn't as well put together like this one, but it got the point across. 😂 He loved cocaine though not cutting himself.

Fuck's sake, Dimebag Darrell literally had a razorblade necklace his entire career. One of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time - Judas Priest's British Steel - is a hand holding a razorblade. From song names, to album names, to several band names, to music videos, can we not pretend the razorblade as an icon is something new in hard rock?
There's plenty of good reasons to hate on MGK, this ain't one.

Yeah the guitar is fucking ugly, but Razorblade imagery has been used by both Dimebag and Judas Priest and all i gotta say is that razorblades are cool.
I don't imagine anyone looking at Dime's necklace or British Steel's album cover or at Nicki Minaj (because she uses those too) looking at those and going "wow self harm is so cool". These guys are fighting ghosts.
Also Mark Stabbed is a real dumass, like dude, you're against this guitar because it can trigger self harm yet you're going to beat someone up over a guitar yourself, not to mention you're in a band called stabbed.

I don't see any issue with this. When I was younger, if I saw that, the last thing I'd of thought of was "oooooo razor blade now I want to cut myself." I personally think it's just cause ots MGK, which is fair, not a big fan of him but there is nothing wrong with this guitar.

I was VERY surprised to discover you didn’t have millions of subscribers with story narration like that. I had you in the same category as Corpse Husband (who isn’t active much anymore sadly) and not much shy of MrBallen for that matter. I was actually a little disappointed you didn’t have a lot more videos in that style because I would have watch them all in a binge . You have massive potential as a story teller or “top 10 (insert topic here)” kinda stuff and I really hope you do that mate because you have one of the best balanced narrative style Ive heard on RUclips ever.

What's weird to me is, if you look at the lineup of Schecter artists, most of them can fucking play, or are at least iconic in their instrument. MGK can't really play at all, and isn't even really known for his Iconic Style or unique usage of the instrument, and isn't even like SUPER HUGE right now. I'm kinda baffled that Schecter's sponsoring him. That being said, if I was playing in a Priest cover band? I'd play this guitar, no questions asked. I also kinda dug that old Graveyard Disciple Epiphone, and the Gretsch Bo Diddly models as well- Showing up at a gig with a stupid shaped guitar makes a statement.

Honestly Sanguisugabogg was pretty funny about the whole thing. They were just "backing up" or whatever their friend from Stabbed. They eventually stopped with the trolling though because radke was saying very childish things and it was just sad even making fun of devin their vocalists fiance for no reason. They some cool dudes they just having fun on the Internet from what I seen when this happened and they didn't really expect Radke to react 😂

I make this a point to anyone who happens to stubble in the cross fire between me and MGK guitars. First started with the MGK OPT (Overpriced trash). The satin finish on the neck feels like garbage and the "Killswitch" is so small while also having so much resistance. Its so dumb. AT $1000 without a case. THEN SCHECTER SAID, "Let's go round 2, Baby" and took then same guitar specs, change the body, slapped +$500 dollars, then still give you no case. Trash
what i find kinda interesting is that the razorblade as a symbol for sh is a somewhat recent development, at least from my knowledge. apparently it has it's origins as a symbol for lesbians, the implication being that any men who would try to touch them in an inappropriate manner would get his privates cut off. i like that meaning better than it standing for sh. then again i'm not certain about that so take it with a grain of salt
