      That just makes basement trapper even more encouraged though. I think making lengthened jaws basekit for healthy survivors and honing stone basekit for injured survivors would be the healthiest change. Make lengthened jaws increase the mend duration and honing stone down healthy survivors as it does now. Easy.

      Honestly, make trapper have longer and more haste when placing traps, so that he has more mobility. Or make his traps take longer to remove. Something is better than nothing

      @@caesar4409 Honestly it'd be far more funny if disabling his traps had a chance to backfire on the Survivor and latch onto their arm instead. While they're still able to move around, they cannot use items, do generators and will scream periodically when running.
      Maybe even take an extra second or two longer to throw down a pallet due to the arm trap but eh I think might be abit _too_ comical for this game to handle ya sees.

      I mean, I'd not be against that if they did something with that like they do with Skull Merchant.
      He has all his traps, but it takes a bit of time to generate a new trap, so you need to wait a short period of time after you've reached your trap "cap" for a new one to form.

      funny thing is they can co develope a game such as ID5 and cant even get their own games balanced. and look at the devs they put on stellaris anything that comes to pvp they have no clue how to balance it.

    The fact was that Twins were already A tier, just full of cooldowns and obnoxious restrictions, those should've been mitigated a bit and it was pretty much what Twins players were asking

    It would be pretty funny if they don't fix much on the twins just let it go Live. Because behaviour doesn't really listen, look how many people tell them this was a bad idea on the ptb notes before the ptb begin.

    Can we talk about how scary it's getting that every update since Tools of Torment featured one killer haste perk? That they've replaced Clowns and Huntress' addons with Haste bonus, and before that Trapper just got Haste for setting traps. It's starting to feel like a band-aid way of buffing Killers, just make them go fast. And now with Twins just giving you 10% for downing survivors with Victor, I'm betting Haste will be involved in every future Killer updates, and it's going to be rough seeing if this even spices up anything than increased pre-dropping pallets.

      ye it's as stated in the video skill expressing gets removed alot. I feel like by buffing killer as you mentioned, both sides become pretty boring cs as the killer gets stronger and easier to play the less counter-play there is for survivors (works the other way around). So the game revolves mostly around how much luck you have in map design and how big the map is and the rest of the game is just like a written script you just run down.

      tbh tho the 2-3% haste on huntress is hardly noticeable on a 4.4 ms killer lol. especially for only 5 seconds

    Balance is killing the game. Yes, DBD was hella unbalanced, but it was fun and actually required skill. Now, it's so easy that anyone can pull of flashlight saves (just as an example). Everything keeps getting nerfed into oblivion while the wrong things are getting buffed. Reworks don't necessarily mean that something has to be buffed/nerfed tremendously, just improving the quality of life or some tweaks here and there can be enough, but I feel like BHVR likes taking wrong turns at "Please Don't", only to end up in "No One Asked For This".

    I dread when they do map reworks. Small maps, dumb pallet placements, and just empty nothingness. I’ve always noticed vaults and such are becoming a less frequent thing to see. I think they have forgotten how to do maps

      if history repeats itself it'll be like red forest rework they are going to make them worse not better. and the game they want all maps to give survivors a chance like azrhov making those buildings more centralized wasnt a balance maker it gives survivors easier access to the main buildings from all areas of the map.

    Not every killer needs to be A tier, but at the same time you can't keep giving more and more tools and buffs to survs while neglecting killers whose abilities are consequently weakened as a result. Just looking at the various ways in which one side can interrupt the primary objective for the other side you get a good idea of how strong survivors have become.
    As a killer your options are limited to blocking or regressing gens, and the effect is always behind some condition/timer/cool down/etc. On the survivor side you have access to flash light/flashbang saves, pallet saves (including cj tech), locker saves, second chance and endurance perks, fast pick up perks w/combinations (ftp+bu), sabo builds/tool boxes, etc etc etc. The point being that the number of ways that survs are able to interrupt a killer completing objectives is far greater than what any one killer build can counter. So the only thing left is the killer's ability, and why shouldn't it be strong enough to help end chases in a reasonable time (comparable to gen completion times) to mitigate all the tools that have become available to survivors that some of which don't even have a direct counter.
    In regards to counter play there's often nothing skillful about playing around a cool down or some other ability's weakness. For example, breaking line of sight from Huntress on most maps at this point with all their clutter and strange hit boxes takes almost no map knowledge or game sense. Not to mention that her hatchet throw animation is so projected/easy to read and listen for that as long as the surv is looking behind them they can dodge it. Even if you flick it's only about a 33% chance the survivor will be moving in the direction to get hit. For example, if you're directly behind the survivor they can dodge left, dodge right, or not dodge at all. You're literally just guessing which one they'll do, and you have to do it before they break line of sight again.

    I wish some quality of life stuff they would do is take a older killer like doctor and fix is wobbly cam when kicking down doors which makes me motion sick or give some of his stuff like morti killing survivors a 3rd person view so i can actually enjoy skins i have purchased for him and stuff instead of only seeing a small glance of it in lobbies or start of matches. What is the point in buying skins on killers you hardly ever get to see them on.

      it was one of the worst killers the problem is that nobody says NO. Talked about it years ago with other players, its easy killer game they wante every killer at 60 percent. Its why they nerfed dead hard, object, borrowed time, yet they dont want killes camping

    I think its good that theyre buffing weak killers even if we get the occasional twins ptb, i think bhvr thought they were cooking up another billy rework with the twins so id rather they go a little overboard and then rein it back instead of killers coming out weak and being ignored forever.

    If they just implemented the quality of life changes from the PTB onto the original Twins design, the problems of slugging would probably be alleviated. Most Twins players want to hook the people they down but also, 8 seconds is enough time for efficient survivors to end all or your momentum as killer, so it's much easier and beneficial to just continue on with Victor until you latch onto someone healthy to make up for that time you spend in cooldowns. Plus, there's a lot of different aspects to Twins that make them incredibly unique that are getting tossed in the trash. Twins were so cool because of the way that they are a surveillance killer (which we don't have much of) and it sucks that it might go away. Also, despite the pick rate being so low, it seems like this is the most talked about killer rework we've had in a long time and it seems like everyone agrees that the Twins were not properly executed whether they played, mained, or never played them, so i genuinely hope that they pull a Finisher Mori update and hold off on releasing this.

    Twins rework would be fantastic if BHVR did all of the changes EXCEPT Victor's pounce mechanic. I never felt slugging was more predominant in a Twins match than against any other killer, I felt their power was fine. It was their bugs and jankiness that kept them from being picked, they felt horrible to play and for the most part I feel like they actually fixed a lot that with the rework.

    Huntress needed the movement speed buff. She gets forced to M1 waaaay too many times. Not to mention indoor maps gut her power almost completely along with being one of the only killers who has to drop chase and reload. There is a reason why Shiny Pin is her most picked add on. 77% is outdated.

    TBH, i think the problem with some killer receiving buff is far deeper than what you debated on the vid.
    Aside from every killer having counterplay - which i think its fair - i don't see a problem in them buffing low tier killers to make those killer more viable. The problem is: a strong killer for the great part of our community is not what is a strong killer for BHVR. Like, the buff on Huntress was completly unnecessary; the buff on Hag/Doctor/Clown was fine.
    We need to be aware also that survivor players are getting smarter and better as the time goes on, making low tier killers harder to play. Like, i was playing Wraith for fun these days and most of the survivor where going down in "comp corner" whenever i was close to down them. DBD is quite old right now and the survivors we are starting to face are far more experienced than years before.
    I will discuss some of the killer you talked in your vid:
    Hag/Clown: they were kind of forgotten killers. Clown mains usually complain about the low bottle economy and how stressing was to play with only 4 bottles; Hag (i am kind of a main) was a problem to play against people who knew the running backwards tech to disarm traps and was kind of depedant on range addons.
    Billy: they missed their point in the rework with such low cooldowns. Billy can get 10 saws wrong and still catch you at the end. Aside from that, for me Billy is fine.
    The Unknown: to me, its the best designed killer since Wesker. There is kind of a mindgame against his M2 where you can bait the projectile. People are just running into to him to counter his M2, so more experienced Unknown players are just "baiting" the power. I don't see a problem with his M1/M2 transition, specially since his M2 takes 2 hits to take a health state.
    In the end, i am a part of the community which like this design philoshy of trying to bring forgotten killers to the game again, since the game nowdays is kind frustating to play with Low tier killers (even the mid ones can get very stressfull sometimes). I hope they keep buffing those killer but giving a very good margin of gameplay to survivors, aside from the "do gens before you die" that seems to be the Twins PTB counter.

    I assume the answer is Follow the Money. Selling killer dlcs to new players is probably where all the cash flow is, so they want to make those players feel good and happy to spend some more dollars. I suspect that survivor skins just dont sell as well as the latest OP killer dlc.

    Choy gets it and I believe his system will help the game get back to being fun. I have 4K hours in DBD and I just do not play it anymore, it's not fun in solo Q. Almost every game is a stomp because all it takes is one weak player (i.e. someone who gives up or DC's) and it's a 3v1 at 5 or 4 gens.

    I think the explanation is way simpler, if the killer is weak nobody will buy skins (or not enough skins), so they all need to have the same amount of strenght so that isn't a factor.

    They should revert latch back to how it was. Keep invulnerability when sucessfully hitting a injured survivor and they should take away the haste and take away the invulnerability when using victor at pallets so if the survivor stuns victor he dies. And fix the clunkyness, and I think they'd be fine. Also, take away victor baskit speed. I'm fine with having to run add ons to make him faster.

    1. BHVR needing killers, because obviously there are fewer people who play as killers (1vs4). We need a way for people to stay playing as killer.
    2. Killers don't want to earn skill (they want easier matches because they want to have fun, they don't want to stress)
    3. BHVR: lets make the killers easier to play.
    4. Killers are easier to play now (zero penalty when using their powers, they have strong passive powers, they have full map control -Wesker, Knight, Zzzkull Merch, Singularity, Chucky, Xeno, Unknown-), but they're starting to complain about the maps.
    5. BHVR: lets change maps -> Creating SMALLER maps for those new killers that can move very quickly and with passive powers or zero penalty. Maps that have unsafe pallets and structures.
    6. Classic Killers: It's not fair, I also want to play that easy.
    7. BVHR: let's buff classic killers taking of their counterplays (Trickster, Huntress, Hillbilly, Clown)
    8. Killers: "I like this. Now I can play in a simple way and also rely on the tunnel and camp if I don't want to make an effort (because the anti-camp is useless, I already know how far I should camp). Now they will see those premades" (when 98% of the time they don't know if they are against a premade or not and if they "lose" -AKA not 4k- they only excuse themselves saying that they were premade).
    9. Premades don't give a S...
    10. SoloQ suffers.
    11. SOLOq players leave the game. New people start arriving. Same problem as point 1: "We need people to stay as survivor, but they are new and there are too many perks to learn and they are complaining that the game is too difficult. Let's improve the survivors perks" (AKA Meta perks)
    12. Killers: lets try Meta perks.
    13. Everyone starts playing sweaty. Complains everywhere. BHVR don't know what else to do because they don't really play their game, because they obviously only play custom matches at their boradcast to show how "fun the game is", because they need money and they better focus on the skins...
    We can go on and on with this poor decision making by BHVR.

    I don’t think people realize how these kind of developers don’t play their own games. They really don’t. It took one of them getting humiliated in a match to change the flashlights years ago. They just change the killers power, release it without testing the quality and go back to making skins and events. Why should they waste time testing when the playerbase can do it for free?

    I can tell you exactly the two reasons why this is happening and also, sadly, why it's necessary: SWF and MMR. The original dev team was right all along about making the game centered around teams with coms and how it would break the game. People demanded, threatened, review bombed and even boycotted BHVR over not having the SWF feature. Looking back, is it any wonder the devs put minimal effort into a game they were only milking because entitled people who didn't even own the game yet threw a massive hissy at them? SWF was the start of the problems, MMR was a solution to remove god/bully squads from the mix and force them to play against the killers who only wanted to sweat in +95% of their games. The results are that both are clearly failing the game and the community the devs have been milking for money and bleeding for good will.

    I think that everyone except for Mathieu Cote that worked on the game years ago no longer work at BHVR or no longer care about the product. They should have remembered old Borrowed Time giving both rescuer and rescued endurance and it was bad and they had to remove it quickly, yet here we are with current Buckle Up. They used to have rules like "don't mess with killer survivor speeds" yet we get perks like old MFT, Background Player and Skull Merchant. I used to love to play around flashlights but because of BGP and the broken Flashbangs Lightborn is mandatory to run now for me. It's no longer "What will they screw up next?" but "How long before they screw up everything?"

    I disagree. Mastering killers like legion, pig or Freddy feels terrible BECAUSE you get stomped by those type of survivors without being able to do anything about it. In my opinion, this isn't fun. You can only win with those kind of killers if the survivors let you win lol

      What’s “mastering” for you? Because I play solo Q and the amount of killers just camping/tunneling and thinking they are good is huge. They are not mastering their killers, the moment they get some decent survivors the same killer player get stomped. It has nothing to do with survivors letting you win, some players legit chase one guy and ignore other survivors like they are not doing gens

      Slowdown builds can help mitigate this (e.g. Surge/Pain Res/DMS/No Way Out), but yes you're totally right, as a Pig main it's AWFUL against good survivors. I shouldn't be expected to run 4 slowdowns with top addons every game, it's really boring. Plus some maps like Eyrie of Crows you KNOW it's gonna be dreadful with weaker killers. It's why I'm glad my girl got buffed, now I can do even more ambitious Ambushes! :D

    Behaviour needs to use this community to play test and give ideas for sure. However, I think the reason for trying to buff characters up is to make balance across roles easier. Balancing things for survivors when facing nurse/blight is very different to balancing for Freddy.

      I mean, considering it took them forever to change instant blinds, saying "It's fine and perfectly balanced" until one of the lead developers was publicly humiliated in Korea while playing Killer.
      It just further proves to me that they don't play their own game, and by that, I mean queueing up with average players and not the other devs.

    I just want DBD to go back to 2018-2019 gameplay. I used to play only killer at that time. Every single survivor and the killer had the same level of stress, focus and mental energy drainage. So playing as a survivor or a killer, I will drain the same level of energy. With all those changes especially for console players are limited to few killers. For example, the devs changed (kinda buffed Trickster to cope with PC aiming) but they forget one important thing that the change is not needed if the thing was implemented. Controller player STILL HAVE 50% DEAD ZONE on the camera. The controller player have to move the camera analog halfway to the left ot right till the camera actually move which makes it SO HARD to be precise. Back to the topic, Nowadays the killer stresses much more than all survivors combined due to not rewarding the killer for downs, and the gens speed. its so easy to blind the killer against SWF (don’t tell me to face a wall because some survivors intentionally down themselves on and open area and tie the killers hands). Now, I have lightborn on my all killers just to ease this problem, and use gen defense perks to not have a race with time and chase with survivors at the same time. Also the killers always have a tax on strong addons and perks where the survivors rarely have a tax on strong perks (they don’t tax survivors for using strong addons up till now). So now, If im feeling not sweaty I just go ahead and play survivor and if I want to lose weight I go ahead and play killer to increase my heart rate for 13 mins each match. I’m a casual player im not a comp player I do not have the motivation to play killer knowing im facing the same 10 perks each match in the same 3 maps that they always use offering for. Lastly, the devs are NOOOOBS.

    Big part of the issue is the dev team does not play test their own game in public matches. I confirmed this through a ticket with them. How can they be competent with developing anything but cosmetics for their game if they don't play their own damn game?? What makes them think that people will continue to stick this out and keep playing their game when they don't even seem to want to play their own game?? Why are we allowing bhvr to make us act as their unpaid game testers that they barely even listen to??

    really good points in the video. i also hate how they reworked a lot of killers - for example sadako and trickster. what even is the point of playing killer if the game plays itself for you? they keep removing interaction between killer and survivor which is so weird because chase is the most fun thing in the game.. meanwhile on the steam forums: killer is so hard, killer is impossible to play..

    Hm, normally I think you’ve got hot takes Choy, but I’m going to disagree with you on this one. I think looking back at other killers that suffer in higher MMR lobbies isn’t a bad idea. While I agree with you that we shouldn’t nullify pre-determined counter play, I think small tweaks and buffs to bring older killers back into the limelight is generally a good thing.
    Maybe I missed a point or two, but I don’t see reflecting as getting rid of the charm.

      Billy needed changes, his overdrive ability are just a bit not punishing enough if he miss (not obstacle)
      I like the idea you miss you need to get punish and hit you get awarded this force you to learn more the Killer.
      This is why I love watching huntress, slinger, hag, singu mains rather than Chucky or SM

      @@muysli.y1855 Hag had one of the lowest pick rates for a reason, as her gameplay was stale and needed to get that “fast-pace” touch up. Not sure what Xeno changes you’re talking about, since the only thing I know is that his sloppy addons are temporary instead of permanent now. As for huntress, I’ll agree with you. But seeing as she only received an ammo upgrade (with her clip addons receiving changes now), I’m not too concerned with her current state. I would love to see more reworks like Billy’s. Trapper, Freddy, and Michael need to have their day in the sun at some point.

    I’m never in a favourable position against spirit, she literally can make the wrong read and still catch up to me because of how fast she is compared to survivors plus she gets that ridiculous lunge as well to help her. What about Wraith’s lunge? Why give her that and not Wraith who is considerably weaker.

    Oh i gotta big disagree this time, most of the killers are in desperate need of buffs (not huntress included) for trickster they only needed to tweak main event, yet they have gone outta their way and crippled his PTB version unneccessary. Yes he is better to play as, but you still see him almost never as a survivor. Idk who in the hell thought huntress needed a change BOTH sides were fine with her. Its mind boggling they really only look at data and completely ignore community feedback.
    And twins yes there is no counterplay, yes it is too strong and shouldnt get to live that way. But i disagree on clown, hag and trickster, they needed and deserved their buffs. There is no identity stripped off of them, so that people play them less. They are played less because it takes way too much effort to get anything done with them.
    I also dont get when people say "oh i hate clown" or "i hate trickster" and whish for them to be even nerfed more. But then again they always see wesker and nurse and huntress and they hate that too. IMO having more diversity in killers should be the goal here. I had made a second account out of boredom, because as a survivor i ALWAYS see the same handfull of killers and suddenly in low mmr i can go against anyone. Sure there is pinhead and myers (killers i dislike to go against) but there has been 3 tricksters in this week alone. On my first acount i see a trickster like once in 3 months. Thats not an exxegaration.

      It's good to have diversity by making killers fun but not by making them so strong with boring basekit buffs like movespeed etc. where no gameplay mechanics are involved. Balance by itself is nice but if you sacrifice all the fun for balance was it really worth it?

      Nah man, the only thing that needs to be buffed is your hands.
      Many killers are in a good spot rn and the general killer experience have never been so easy, also the recent kill-rate shows an amount of a +60% even in High MMR with a barely noticeable difference between Solo's and SWF's.
      They have buffed a lot of killers in a recent time (Legion, Ghostface, Huntress, Clown ,Sadako(rework), Trickster(Rework), SM(rework), Billy, Trapper, Doctor, Pig, Demo...) while they almost did nothing to the top tier killers (Blight add-ons are even stronger now).
      There are for sure killers who need total buffs/reworks like Myers and Freddy but surely the last thing they can be criticised for is that they are not trying to do anything to make the role of the killer significantly more powerful.

      @@dommassa2667 killers like merchant hyperinflate killrates killers like clown hag trapper singularity and legion are currently or were very recently way too limited to express enough skill to deal with high mmr matches this game is heavily survivor slanted the higher the mmr gets due to potentially having 4 players who are all extremely good compared to one insane killer 4 beats 1 if they know how to function properly

    Kinda need more lethal killers to deal with all the subtitle cheaters. Oh at 4:00 that is all cap because there has been tons of drama and complaints from survivors about Pyramid Head's M2 ability to the point it was nerfed. Survivors tend to get what they want or the devs help/ignore when they start cheating, look at when subtitle speed hackers were a thing, BHVR released MFT.

    Very much disagree about the pig changes. She feels better in a chase as killer and she's only a little different and maybe slightly harder to deal with as survivor but still relatively fun to be chased by. The initial changes in the PTB actually made her weaker because BHVR thought she'd be too strong but they pretty much listened to the community on just straight buffing her instead (majority opinion anyway), and not being able to see the boxes anymore is practically a non-issue unless for some reason you loved tunneling survivors with RBTs on their head.

      Agreed. Pigs I go against love to do this strategy and I am glad that Behavior did this punish Pigs that did. And it's more of a issue of tunneling than it is with the killer as a whole.

      @@caesar4409 Never understood why either. You were negating your basekit slowdown doing this. Now if they're unlucky and I happen to be nearby I might go for a grab or chase them off for a bit, but if another survivor tries to defend them or is nearby I usually drop chase on the RBT survivor, and now there's even more natural pressure on them to get the trap off their head especially if it's activated.

      @@caesar4409 they should incentivize chasing different survivors somehow. Even if you penalize tunneling it'll end up encouraging slugging again. I usually don't do either unless it's a desperation move or I slug if I suspect DS or I know another survivor is nearby.

    Okay guys, if you want them to do something, you need to stop giving them money. But what we can do, to stop others from doing that? Well there is very mean, but solution. So, to force others to quit, every killer just needs to play in meanest way possible. Something like billy hook on hill camping, nurse with 4 slowdowns playing etc... You may ruin their week or two with that, but after straight week of that sh1t, they just quit and will start to have fun in their real life. Works for me, at least. But, this is nothing but dreams, too hard to do that with a lot of people...

    Bhvr would rather give killers strong boring buffs, instead of reworking the map design and nerfing the survivor meta. The game wouldn't be so stale right now if they cared about balancing the game from day 1.

    the fact it was pulled back by a day really tells me all i need to know. There was a doubt from the team's there that this was a bad idea, and maybe hold it back until May might've been a better idea. I've a lot of issues with Dbd in terms of how stagnant it is versus the actual balance but i do get the outcry.

      man the whole community gone hysterical, BHVR have been listening our feedbacks for a few patches now, they fixed 3gen, op perks for both sides, they fixed some killers, and just because of 1 PTB (which will probably not go live because they listen to the community) everyone gone crazy, seriously if there is so much hate towards the devs and the game, its better to just leave the game if its not doing good for you and play something else

    2:24 The reason why Huntress was buffed is because her killrate was low (56 %) and her pickrate was the second most played out of all killers. The same reason they nerfed Pig because her killrate was 61 % just like Freddy will get nerfed due to his killrate being 63 %.

    I agree with the feelings of the game getting more homogeneous, but it was hard to follow some of the balance talk, especially with constantly referring to "my currency system" without explaining it.
    But also, my man literally said it's bad to have a balanced roster and then said Unknown had no transition time while showing that it's a 2.5 second round trip that seriously reduced his move speed during it. Lol.

    Happy about most of the Killer buffs, Huntress didn't need buffs, Adrenaline nerf is deserved, Twins OP, DS broken. Lots of bad and good things, but this recent PTB is sad. Thankfully it's just a PTB. Also, the Unknown does have counterplay, as I have countered him. However, this Twins rework is just beyond broken.

    They're making the game easier in alot of aspects and removing skill expression, they're making the game less fun and replayable, which isn't good to retain new players or good to keep long time players engaged where their skill can actually pay off... Its a real shame

    I personally think players who have over 3k hrs are just going to stop playing. We all play for counter play, whether it’s killer or survivor. You take away any incentive to get better at something like removing techs or killers that take skill, what happens? People will quit, hack or just troll. I never play solo q anymore. Theres no point.

    Then they reworked Sadako again and nerfed her hard into the ground.
    Her power doesn't work, her time wasting is nonexistent with the tapes, and her range is awful (which matters since they essentially made her an M1 killer).
    There is no consequence to holding a tape. It takes 1 second to take a tape and 1 second to return it to a TV that the survivor can easily find since it's highlighted for them.
    Oh and how long TVs are turned off for when a tape is taken. Which, as mentioned above, HAS NO REAL CONSEQUENCE.
    You can try to say you like that she's weak but the reality is, most of us don't. We want to win because we have skill and lose because we make mistakes. We don't want to win because she's OP and lose because she's so awful that she is a laughing stock.
    TDLR: Sadako is in a poor state after this rework and it's not even because of the rework. It's because they nerfed her into the dirt just before her rework went live.

    Personally I don’t agree with the “game is not balanced” and the “simplifying the game” arguments. A game like this is probably really difficult to balance. I do agree with the twins rework with Victor being a little bit overbuffed. It’ll likely be changed before the full release.

    i have a theory, they've fired some guy who was responsible for the game balance, around knight or skull merchant release, this guy knew what is going on balance-wise, was vouching against haste perks / powers. or maybe he/she quited himself, who knows, but something's clearly changed and now it seems like they do random sh%t and then just fix balance up after testing

    I'm that p100 twins main that's e mailed directly. We didn't want a 'rework' we just wanted tweaks. Slugging was the problem survivors complained about HOWEVER it's always proposed that is was SUCH an easy task lol solo q sure, but WHAT killer isn't better at solo q? The slugging sucked for survivors but it sure asf isnt THAT easy w all that slow transitioning. Some are even worse for solo q like PINHEAD so don't gimme that. Now this new rework, was absolutely over the top yes but You n probably many like you don't REALLY understand the pain. The slow...clunky, every hook is a blessing* because of SO MUCH counterplay to the twins. Want a pdf of em? There's a list ON JUST PICKING UP lol and all are common* in lobbies. All of em. This ptb was a disappointment because overall we twins mains feel they will be over gutted now even completely taken back n won't hear of em for another 2 n a half years. The feeling of this ptb tho...the 4* rounds I managed to play due to lack of attendees, was so damn good. Justified. Go watch my stream today. You'll see a good round....n what it looks like to vs a BULLY p300+ squad of sweats that thrive on insulting the 'weak' killer you claim is good. Dude I get your point but ppl have favorites! N they want their choices to be ABLE to combat that crazy ass ** easy role of survivors. They have all the info. They have map control. They have mics. They have sabo, flashlights, flashbangs*yea there's a diff, endurance hits. This 'power creep' started long ago. The survivors are too jacked. They are dude. HOWEVER it is infacy, the Nurse AND blight that made it so. They are too strong for the rest of the game. I dgaf bout blight nerf. As a survivor some may have enjoyed but majority? F*** no dude that shit was too cracked n there was nothing stopping him eating through all the pallets. No sympathy from me. Nurse has Ben the worst tho. I've talked enough tho. They need their own lobbies haha.
    My ideas were: *or options btw
    - individual killer gen speed attribute
    - Nurse n blight their own lobbies ( a true challange if survivors know who they are facing eh...why not?)
    - add in game chat for SURVIVORS only. With a mute option. Eliminate solo q all together so appropriate *buffs n nerfs to BOTH SIDES can be FAR more accurate towards balance...as a 4v1 asy. Is impossible to completely balance.

    About the Clown getting more bottles thing..... Are people forgetting that Clown originally had 5 bottles when his Chapter first released? I'm quite happy to see his bottle count has been restored especially since I'm a Doctor - Clown main.

    While there are some key issues with this PTB I still believe it is infinitely better than how they did things in the past you can get mad at some of Bhvr's changes but at least they are trying things and experimenting with what works which is a far cry from what it used to be like where they were too afraid to change anything for fear being bombarded with hate snd and criticism, overall bhvr has been working really hard and making some great content and if botched PTBs and bad ideas they want to test out now and then are the cost then I'll pay it everytime!

    Killer has to be able to crush 1v1s. It is a 4v1 game. Counterplay can not allow you to consistently avoid getting downed forever. It's about time the devs started to understand this. Twins rework swung a bit far in the other direction but really the only issue is that victor recovers and catches up after hitting someone too quick and they'll obviously nerf the shit out of that for live and then some because of all the whining.

      Counterplay takes skill though, can we stop pretending like survivors have all these god loops? Have you played the Alien map? That map takes absolute skill and nothing but skill to loop.

      More often killers win based on gen defence clutch, that shouldn’t be available in game. Survivors using loops ain’t as bad as killers losing 3 gens and then getting a cheap out of jail card by camping till second stage meanwhile the camping meter doesn’t even reach past 50% progress!

      ​@@CodPatrolthis is the main reason dbd's competition died, they wanted to make the 1v1 balenced in a 50/50 way, that makes the 1v4 terrible, there literally should never be a "5 gen chase" unless the killer makes MASSIVE mistakes period, it should always be how long can you prolong your death, not how can one person on the team 'win' by never getting caught

    I gotta heavy disagree with the statement that anything done to try and buff solo q also buffs survive with friends.
    Will a lot of the buffs people suggest buff survive with friends? Yes. Will EVERYTHING buff them though? No. We literally had the hud get updated to give us info on what our teammates are doing like gens/totems/being in chase. What buff did that give swf? What info did it give them that they didn't have before? As far as i can tell, nothing, absolutely nothing because they already had all that info before.
    It feels like occasionally you use blanket statements which are objectively false when a lot of things in dbd are too wide and varied to easily fit under such narrow blanket statements.

      Half the time this dude tries to push his ideas he blatantly ignores things to say blanket statements as if they are fact without ANY mention or the slightest of hint as to the actual nuances they have. Especially with how often it feels anything that isn't his currency idea means the game is done for and is all gloom and doom it comes off as "i will ignore objective reality and substitute it for my own because if it isn't mine the game is finished for". The dude clearly has had MULTIPLE people tell him how his own system makes them feel like they would be pushed towards using certain things and he constantly goes "actually people would feel like this and do this" despite people LITERALLY TELLING HIM they wouldn't and that's not how it would affect them playing the game.

      Hud did buff swf, proper communication is difficult and takes space.
      You cant constantly bring up all that info all the time while simultaneously planning your next team play/communicating info on killer playstyle/potential perks, since you can't say two things at once.
      And at the same time, you can give a solo player a self updating excel spreadsheet about info on a match.
      But if they're banging music, looking at their phone while M1 on a gen that spreadsheet might as well not exist.
      That's why an excel spreadsheet was a bad idea, while some basic communication features actually wouldn't buff swf while making a more passive player do more active actions.

    I really wish BHVR didn't throw the baby out with the bathwater every time something needs reworking when all that needs fixing is some small QoL stuff that would simply make a character not feel suck.

    unknowns power is countered by simply looking at him and is easily telegraphed. his strength comes from blind prediction shots where you're out of FOV from the survivor. as a huntress main she will be strong no matter what if you play boring and proxy camp. other than that, counting hatchets wasnt her counterplay. simply waiting for her to reload is already good enough. she crumbles if you just stand still behind objects 90% of the time. everyone in the game is antiloop i dont really get this broad sentiment of antiloop lol. trapper is antiloop. anyone who does a mindgame is antiloop. simply moving forces a survivor into making a decision and you can zone them out with that alone. if you want to call that antiloop then sure but everyone is bored of dbd because survivor gameplay is insanely boring. 50/50's, hold W, predrop, vault, hold checkspots.

    At least with Trickster, his rework felt like a QoL change/update (in some ways) and not buffing him for the sake of buffing him like Huntress and Clown.

      @newcastleenjoyer69 Idk, I always thought that Clown's movement speed made up for a lot of things, especially with his hindered.
      That said, I rarely versus Clown, or at least a good one so I don't know the proper counterplay.
      Definitely don't know what they were thinking with Huntress, she's like the Queen of cross-map sniping and camping (with the new anti-facecamp mechanic.) She is one of the last killers that needed a buff.

    Dumbing down the game is something I think bhvr is doing in general. Killer design, putting in invisible walls on maps so killers can’t “fly”, blind buffer, and removal of techs. The complexity of the game and skill of the game is being taken away overtime. How long until Wesker Hugs or Oni 180s or lopro flicks are removed?

    I’m also going to say it. They are clearly aiming at a casual player base too. They are making changes to killers that make them waaaaay easier to master and a lot less time. I feel so sorry for new survivors coming through because the killers are getting harder and harder to counter now

      It does get tiring. Like sure, they screwed up with this one, but they always bring good changes to the game as well. Again, this game has to cater to both killers and survivors and it's definitely a hard challenge to overcome. Glad this was just ptb, I'm just hoping they buff Legion's speed or duration.
