    So they both run on the same volts? Also, are they running on battery voltage, or a voltage regulator? If it's a voltage regulator, can it handle the amp draw increase for long?

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  7 месяцев назад

      Hi, that's a very good question, and i probably should have mentioned that information in the video. to answer your question It definitely has a voltage regulator in it ftom as low as 12 volts all the way up to 80 volts. It will apparently give you the same output and It has a 50,000 hour LED Life and based on the specs on the box ot apparently has an 80% energy saving for long use so i believe it wont draw too many amps from the battery of the scooter. Unfortunately, i dont know how many amps it draws vs. the stock LED Headlight, and i dont have the testing tools to find out. But i would assume it would take about the same battery life as the stock Headlight.

    The lights are on Wolf 10, 11 and ,,King These are extremely bright headlights. But remember, these have flood lights as well. As spotlights, that means, if you try to face them straight forward, you are literally blinding people and before you say I don't give a c*** Try to adjust the headlights down. A little bit walk about 30 feet up. Turn around and look at it and see how it will blind you. Please respect others, especially oncoming traffic. I'm fixing to sell my Naomi Klima max and buy a RS.

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  3 дня назад +1

      @p5stunna Excellent Question. Main reason is because it was more appropriate to solder the wires directly to the board vs. accidentally having the wires accidentally make contact with each other and frying the central controller. One person already did that and burned out his central controller. This is why i made this tutorial. That's a very expensive mistake to make. 😥🙏

Soldering the wires directly to the board on this led light or making sure the horn has its wire clips with heatshrink on them is the best way to prevent a short otherwise it can turn into a very expensive repair of we are out of warranty. Man. I’m having a tough time. It looks like new scooters have epoxy in the void area holding the wires and that epoxy keeps the back plug secured beyond being able to get out even with a flathead screwdriver prying on it. Have you experienced this yet?

    • @THEAVERAGEGUY1983
      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  19 дней назад +1

      @kriswibbenhorstermeister9885 i have indeed. I basically used my soldering gun to semi soften up the epoxy which did work and then carefully lift up with a small flat head screw driver so that i wouldn't damage the circuit board. It did take some time to soften the epoxy as its technically made to last a very long time and not really be removable but it is possible to get it off.

    • @kriswibbenhorstermeister9885
      @kriswibbenhorstermeister9885 19 дней назад +1

      Update: I had to drill out the epoxy. Then the epoxy came out in hunks, and finally, a large hunk containing the wires. I had to break the epoxy around the wires with some robogrips lol. The positive wire got severed, so I had to shorten both wires by about 1/2”. Hopefully the wire is long enough to plug in, or it’s another light I’ll have to order and try again. Great tutorial on this headlight swap!! One tip that I use when doing wiring work similar to this on my motorcycle: In the case of this wire swap, I'd put a real small "zip tie" on the wire cable where it comes thru the LED board, and lightly tug the cable till the zip tie is against the LED board. Doing that prevents the wire from being pulled out of the light housing, which would possibly break the wire off of the solder joints. Just a suggestion.

      @Boosted_Spyder not at all. You might have to check the wiring on the horn, but this mod shouldn't affect anything, especially the horn. I know i had to crimp down my wires for the horn a tiny bit more out of the box in order for it to have a proper connection using some pliers just to give the edges a tiny bit of a squeeze so it stays locked in place but that was it. Hopefully, that will solve your issue. If not, you may have a defective horn and will need to be replaced. As long as you are under warranty, that should be covered.

      @PallutedLife650 sorry for the long wait. And then run a bar across that to add a light but its not that great for a couple of reasons.
      1. It will be costly to get everything.
      2. It may not look that great onces installed.
      3. You will have to retro fit it to make it work
      4. You'll then have to buy the led light of choice. 😬 to me that seems like a lot of steps to make it work.

      @THEAVERAGEGUY1983  6 месяцев назад +1

      @mobettaspice i totally understand, thats one of the reasons why i havent tried getting one either. I was interested because of the 60 Amp hour battery. I figured if my Inmotion RS being 72 volts at 40 Amp hours gave me 60 miles of range in Eco mode which goes to 19 Mph then getting another scooter with 72 volts at 60 Amp hours would give me 90 miles of range at the same speed lol but then i seen the instability of that 7260R. I was also interested in the Slak Core 1220 scooter which has the same specs as the 7260R but its $8,000 and it doesn't even have a proper display to show you battery stats and mileage, no turns signals, no brake light or tail light, no headlight. When i talked to the Slak Core manufacturer they told me that they can put all that on the scooter but at an extra charge i was like Nope! Lol

    • @mobettaspice
      @mobettaspice 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 so let me get this straight. After paying $8,000 for the scooter they are going to charge you extra for what’s important to the person operating the scooter. I would have said nope too. As for the 7260R I stayed far away from that one. Things weren’t very positive on Reddit too about that model. But keep up the good work bro. That spill you took really woke me up to more safety gear being more cautious on the shortest runs.

      @mobettaspice yep i though they were crazy for adding necessary stuff for an extra charge. As for the extra gear, ywah man im glad you are going to consider getting more, i truly regret my decision of thinking i wasnt going to need gear for a short 2 block trip to a pharmacy only to get my self in a mess. Ill be sure to share a video on my safety gear, there are a small group of people that want to see what i wear now for safety. I think a video and links to amazon for all the stuff i wear is appropriate to do. Specially a BIG guy like me. It took me a bit to find something that fits me which i was very embarrassed about but glad i found some gear at my current 287lbs size. I got the green light from mh physical therapist to start going for my walks again so hopefully i can catch up to my weight loss. 😎👊

      @@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 About to do this today.. If it's just 2 wires, I think I'm just going to cut the cables and join them, electrical tap / shrink wrap the whole thing. Do you see any issues with this approach?

      @@asong26 not really. That will work too 😁👍
