Very true! The Ecoboost gets a lot of unnecessary hate simply because its not a V8, but the people who hate on it aren't really the kind of people who understand cars for what they are.
I'm not saying I'm the best at launching mine, but ive never spun as much as that guy did. I have raced a 20 GT 10spd convertable with mine. My buddy rented one and called me out. Couldn't do dig races because someone came over the hill every time we tried to stop. So we ended up doing about a 30 roll. He was literally creeping forward until I hit 5th at 95mph, and then he just pulled. We did 7 races with the same results every time. One race we let off at the same time. I hit 130mph and he said he hit 140mph. So there is definitely a top end advantage on the 5.0 but I was surprised it went like it did at the slower speeds. Yes a convertable is heavier than a couple, but based on those races, i would expect a coupe GT to only have about a car at 95mph and then pull away. With that being said, I can't imagine an ecoboost keeping up with me. Not saying it won't since they definitely have low end torque from the turbos, but its just hard to believe until I race one.
A four-cylinder can only do so much I suppose, even with turbo. However the other day I was curious about track mode in my 2020 Ecoboost so gave it a shot and was really surprised at the initial burst of power. It sounded fairly robust with the active exhaust. But a few GT’s have roared at me at lights and passing by just to let me know they have the upper hoof.

I believe the ecoboost is a great car. I personally have one with the 6 speed manual and its a decent fit for the car. Its decently quick as well, quick enough to keep you happy, but not scary quick. It's definitely a car on my list of recommendations. Ima be honest that Challenger driver needs to roll into the throttle. I own an RT just coming from a V6 2015 mustang, 3 days ago I made the trade and my V6 would stand no chance from a dig. The ecoboost is pretty much the same performance wise as the V6.
I have a 15 R/T and I totally agree on the challenger part. Ive never owned a mustang tho. But my buddy rented a 20 5.0 GT convertable last year and we raced 7 times. Based on those races, I really can't see a stock ecoboost taking my 5.7L.

I am not sure how my 2018 ecoboost would do in a drag race with any car or pickup. It was rated at 310 hp . But with a new chip and air handler I have an idea on the hp. All I know is if I put it in sport mode it runs very well
@@tommybrown4917 tuning on a turbo engine is usually a pretty decent game changer. Id bet you're gaining at least 40hp off of just a custom tune. 5 star tuning got over 100hp from the 3.5L ecoboost with no other mods.

trust me I love v8's & up but also love and appreciate every car cuz u nvr know, ecoboost decent power, its quick nuthin to it still cool, sporty car & comfortable, good view, decent on gas especially now, no matter how hard u gas it, it also always depending what do u want ur car to do, straight line, v8 or up basically (as in stock) but no cap, on corners & track ecoboost wins against chargers challengers & gt mustangs, ngl, its light, the engine has a balance & low end torque like come on now, as a race car on a track on drifting or swinging it, eco all the way for fun and good if u build it up to race race on track, on long runs tho goin straight of course not eco, unless u got a honda, they good all around and if put money into or a laptop u good🤣 but u gotta learn to appreciate all as what they is or could do, plus geez especially when u a honda civ or prius(not stock of course but still) gappin a 5.0, I'd shut my mouth lol js, eco a good car all around for what it is in all honesty, its just fun too and t9 break boundaries with it if u tune it or whatever, agree any1?
If you cant launch an rt you either have terrible tires our cant drive.
What kind of balloon do you brush your hair with?
🎈
Slowpar fans are punching the air rn
If you want to see a non v8 american pony car beat an RT, go find a 6th gen (2016+) v6 camaro with either the 8 speed or 10 speed. I'd even be willing lol I have one.
My ecoboost smokes 5.7 all day
Allll Day...i love bullying them lol.... Only from highway speed is where they excel because turbo lag, but from a slow roll or especially a dig.... Embarrassment❗😂💯
I don't even bother them because it's not fair
Big turbo ecoboost will walk dodge rt
The guy in the RT can't drive.
No offense, i have a nustang v8, 2016, i love the challenger, but would not fit in a swiss garage designend for a smart, nevertheless, why are u so obsessed with drag, american footbal and the other stuff with that sticck, take it easy and enjoy the ride, we have nice curvy roads, rugby and cricket here. And real cheese😅
Don't really think the v6 is on the same page as the ecoboost2.3
The Ecoboost makes more torque and horsepower then a v6 stang 2018 Ecoboost makes 310 hp 350 torque the 2020 hpp Ecoboost makes 330hp 350 torque and the 2020 and 2018 come with a 10 speed trans
I call bullshit
Ecoboost 💀💀💀
Your a joke you run before him 2 times we see you running he still waiting
Full video bakchodi😂😂
Christ rt that slow
5.7 in dodges are weak..
#BrakeBoost
❤ sweet
when he said a rustang gt easily beats a challenger R/T , best laugh of the night, with who driving a 16 year old or a seasoned street racer ?
I own a RT so this isn't Mustang homerism on my part. A 5.0 GT will absolutely destroy a R/T from the same year, there's roughly a 50 hp difference (at minimum) and the Ford is about 400 lbs lighter. It's just not fair. i'm not even sure a scat pack could beat a 5.0.
@@O8SOL3TE most of the time the gt takes it , especially on top end
uhhhh it does. That r/t doesn't stand a chance against a 5.0.
Automatic.... gross
try scat u cry mustard kids
scat vs an ecoboost? lmao
cringe
R/T beats that Eco eveytime in a quarter mile race, this wasnt a race
