I rebuilt my pump according to your video steps. On startup it foamed like crazy. Tore it back apart and found the bushing on the shaft seal side spun and I had to beat the bushing off with a hammer. It turned fine as I assembled it. Shaft seal had a tear. Now to see if I can spec a tighter bearing OD. Thanks for your videos, they are very helpful.
I’ve never seen one of these Eaton pumps that can’t be fixed, it’s the bushing that goes bad and seal leaks, dealership closed so I got to find the bushing number to order, got several old ford tractor factory kits left but missing bushings
Wish you would list the parts numbers on the parts you use for each video, I only have a cell phone so I have to watch video over and over to get the parts numbers Thank You 🙏 😊
Great video I am currently rebuilding a pump. It's been about 30 years since my last rebuilt of this style pump. The pump that I am rebuilding is missing the filter retainer. Any ideas on where to get one or how to fab one.
I would like to replace the 2 bushing in my pump, can uou please tell me where you got your bushings, any additional information, such as bushing sizes and/or part numbers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Sizes I used are in video at 36:26. I had a heck of time getting mine to not leak. I had to clean paint off the pump at that spot and tighten the heck out of of the fitting. Pretty sure I still have the metric o-rings in it too.
Great video! Did you ever finish the first pump? If so, what did you use for a replacement flow control valve spring? I'm rebuilding mine using your video and my spring is broken. Thanks!
Sir, thank you for the tutorial. I am in the middle of rebuilding my power steering pump and your video was a big help.
Great video. I've got one to rebuild but it was missing the filter and retainer.
I still have several rebuilt kits in shop, $ price said 3.95 each kit
Can’t beat that 😊
Hi do you have original ford seal kits for sale? I’m interested
@@JuanDelgado-gz7ui yes but I’m keeping it because I still using two tractors
Ok thanks 🙏

I’ve done this like 20 years ago on one of my tractors and need to do it again
Need a really good pressure washing and degreaser 😊
I use old yellow glue to hold lid gasket in place 22 years ago and still working fine 😊

I've seen a few used one on ebay but they're not cheap. Tractor junkyard may be cheaper.
@@chickenhousemechanic Thank you
Put that old pump in vinegar and leave it a month, it’ll be better than nothing one of these days and it will still pump ok
You can get just the pump out put shaft seal from National seal company, it’s cheap if it’s all you need 😊

Part numbers are in video around minute 24. Ordered them from McMaster-Carr.
what size O-rings did you use for the output connection? I haven't been able to find a size that works.

are the pump casing 3/8 16 bolts? Or are they special bolts tapered at the ends? Thanks
Just plain 3/8-16 bolts. Short ones are 2 inches long, longer ones are 2-1/2 inches long.

No I never messed with it. It's still in pieces on my workbench actually. Been working on body work after the pump and haven't gotten back to it.
