Thanks for looking at Forestella, my favourite vocal group. They're a crossover quartet who can sing brilliantly basically anything.
For sheer beauty try Scarborough Fair, Hijo De La Luna or Nella Fantasia. For power try Champions, We Are The Champions, Lazenca Save Us or Legends Never Die.
They're also VERY innovative so look at Time In A Bottle, Shape Of You and Sweet Dreams. For striking performances Je Suis Malade and Inner Universe are must watches.
Finally, their originals are equally outstanding such as their excellent trilogy of Save Our Lives, Utopia and White Night.
Hello, thank you for reacting to Forestella and one of many covers of songs loved by many around the world. They are a crossover group celebrating their 7th year since formation in 2017 on a tv competition on South Korean JTBC tv called PHANTOM SINGER 2, looking to form a crossover quartet. Forestella was born on that show and they went on to win the show and debuted with their first album Evolution on 14th March 2018..😊And the tenor soprano Kang HyungHo, 36 ,is the one that sounds like Freddie Mercury. He is actually a rock-singer most of his life, a self-taught singer and musician and unlike the other 3 has no formal music education, rather he became a research chemist for 4 years after gaining a degree in chemical engineering, while still pursuing his dream of a career in music until one fateful day in 2017 when he auditioned for the aforementioned singing competition that brought him into contact with the other 3 members. He is now also in a solo rock act called PITTA which has another member, Lee EunWoo. He launched this solo career alongside Forestella in 2021 so he could indulge his dream of being on his own big stage singing his own rock songs plus covers of songs that don’t fit with the Forestella format. Each member is an amazing individual artist with very diverse and eclectic tastes in music as you will come to discover in due time. They are not your usual Idol group, their music training and experience is very different to the traditional and young male K-pop groups and the age range is different too, their individual music tastes are different too, their agency is small, they are not trained dancers, but they can do a little choreographed movement…the most prolonged dancing was their cover of MiCHAEL Jackson’s SMOOTH CRIMINAL.😊 They are Crossover group with 2 opera trained vocalists, Cho MinGyu 34, their leader and leggiero tenor and Ko Woorim, with a magnificent basso profundo voice who was still a 22yr old opera student at the time of the competition and a musical theatre graduate, Bae Doohoon 38 , a versatile baritone tenor who majored in acting and Kang HyungHo who I’ve already mentioned. They refuse to be confined to one genre…they want to show audiences that good music across all genres and languages can be made with touches of classical elements throughout. Bad ROMANCE, currently their highest viewed performance on KBS IMMORTAL SONGS where they won the coveted KING OF KINGS trophy…the episode aired in 2022, with one video showing 17 million views …there are 2 or 3 other versions of it that add up to about 5 million views with drone or 4k or 8k versions. See what they do with covers , how they interpret and pay homage to the original but make their own version of a well-known song. ..just like Bohemian Rhapsody. They also have amazing original songs and music videos. They are a close-knit group and are passionate about the music they make and are thankful to their fans for their support.
