This performance gives me goosebumps every time! I absolutely agree that Freddie would have loved Forestella. I heard their version for the first time just a couple a weeks ago or so and it blew my mind.
I saw them sing this live in Atlanta last year; they were that good!! For a crazy song, listen to their original “Utopia”, it has a Bohemian Rhapsody feel! Many many covers and about 10 originals, some of them operatic (2 of them are opera singers, the other 2 just pitch in perfectly!), some pop, some Kpop; try “Je suis malade”, “Hijo de la Luna”, “Time in a bottle”, “Shape of you”. and their crazy Kpop “Kool”. So many more after that! Enjoy!

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die!
And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible.
Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check.
Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too.
Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans.

the first 9 are forestella originals, and they adhere more to the classical crossover genre. many brilliant covers follow. forestella became famous when their amazing covers started going viral internationally. the reason they have so many covers is because of their frequent appearances on a weekly musical variety show, called "immortal songs" the concept of which is covering the "immortal songs" of the past, both korean and international artists.
INFO Forestella are an amazing group, even the old song covered by Simon & Garfunkel, Scarborough Fair was brilliantly done by Forestella as well. They even covered Lady Gagas song Bad Romance and did that good as well......
Their version of Time in a Bottle is absolutely beautiful and unforgettable.
Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. Unfortunately the Immortal Songs video got geoblocked around 2021, this video became viral after their Immortal Songs video geoblocked. (Actually another video from their Mystique encore concert live version is more used for reactions tho)
I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella. And you can find the trio singing the Show must go on in Immortal Songs as well.

just phenomenal, if this is your first time hearing Forestella, then don't stop here. you will be happy hearing them more from performing classical music to pop songs, literally all kinds of genres. they sing from Korean ( their own) to French and a lot more. they do covers and have their own songs/MV. just have to find it out yourselves with your ears if interested.

Forestella paying excellent homage to Queen’s work…haven’t found anyone who comes close to their live performances of this … they have performed this countless times…live…..the whole song ….referencing the quadrant/chorus bit here. Queen admitted they could never successfully do that part of the song live, so always used their music video of the multi-track recording of their voices for this part. Forestella does it live ..every time. And they never copy the original song or try to outdo the original artists they cover..they pay respect to the original song , but they make the song their own with their own arrangements and interpretations. Freddie always said that he didn’t mind people performing his songs, as long as they weren’t mediocre. These guys certainly are not mediocre.😊 Other Covers plus some originals to check out.. Forestella will take on ANY genre. Pop, Rock, Classical, Tango, Popera, Rock Opera, Waltz, Folk… They are masters of adding their own flair while still being respectful of the originals.
They also covered “We will Rock You” and “We are the Champions” if you want to hear more Queen from them. Their original song “Utopia” has an obvious Queen influence. I’d recommend their cover of Bad Romance (Lady Gaga).. you’ll be surprised.
Also… only one of these four speaks English, but not fluently. They speak Korean, yet they will sing songs in any language they come in. French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Latin, etc. Two Opera Singers, a Musical Theater actor, and an amateur Rocker with no formal training… and they make magic. Thank you for reacting to them. ❤️🌲💫

Hyung ho is a lyrical tenor also operatic trained
mingyu is a counter tenor who used to sing in a rock band
Though they're not confined by their ranges but this is a rough idea of where they tend to fit during harmonies and such
