Mark Bagley is a treasure. An old school artist from the '90s who still gets work. God bless him.
Most of the 90s artists still get work, they just jumped ship to Image.

@I M Gamer It’s a suit Norman Osborn made for him “Six months ago” of the current continuity. This arc has major flaws, but I always thought it would be cool to see a “Good/Neutral” Norman (sort of like how Magneto is now). He’d be an invaluable ally to Peter. He’s wealthy, powerful, and has a long history with Parker and would serve as an unlikely mentor.
Glad the artwork is taken a more vintage look and always glad to see Spider-Man debuting again

@@frenzy2101 they keep retconning Peter's personal life everytime he achieves something good. Parker Industries and his marriage with MJ were cut off once it finally started getting good character development out of him, only to send the character back to a status quo. Almost like the writers are self-inserting their terrible lifes into the character

@@Thaltas the problem is Marvel editorial's insistence on the age old Spidey status quo of being single and problematic as if that's the only way to make him "relatable". They've done stories where Peter's married and has kids and they did it well and people loved it, idk why they don't just move onto that part of his life as a character

@@Shyboi109 while he clearly has deep appreciation for the material and care for the characters, Spider-Man stories became batsh*t insane under Slott in my opinion. Not that he is the first writer to do that, but I don't know if I've seen one who was celebrated for it this much.

I gotta say bro I wasn’t expecting morlun but now this comic is going to be freaking awesome!!!😎 it’s giving me goosebumps every second.
I'm not well-versed in the comics so for a split-second I thought that Morlun character was Morbius.

They bring back everything from the JMS run of Spider-Man except the major thing thats the reason people like that run: Peter and MJ’s marriage.
I love Bagley’s art but I can’t say the same about Slott’s writing. It does figure that his return to the character just happens to coincide with Marvel recently splitting up Peter and MJ for the bazillionth time after Nick Spencer spent the entirety of his run redefining why the Peter Parker character is incomplete without Mary Jane Watson.

@@onlyyoucanstopevil9024 that's not how it's supposed to be though. If you read the old comics it's one long continuous story. These days it's a massive mess of reboots and contradictions.

Agreed. The only run of his that I like is his She-Hulk series , which is really good. But he always seems to write the other heroes out of character in his other series. I'll probably read this book because Mark Bagley's art is awesome.

I never get tired of anything Spiderverse related it’s just so cool seeing different versions of Spider-Man and the worlds they come from.
When Marvel doesn't know their own continuity. Shathra who appeared in JMS run never defeated Peter, she was close but as always Peter persevered. But Morlun defeated Spidey once the other 3 times Peter defeated Morlun. The other villains who have defeated Spidey are doc ock, Norman and Kraven
What do you hope tbh? DC and Marvell have a lot of plot hole and discontinuity. They just write whatever they think would be a hit without any real goal where this universe would go. They even would reset if it flop. Just stupid
So technically thats not entirely true. Shathra did beat Peter before. He only escaped due to his totemic power calling on the spiders in a zoo exhibit to hide him from her. It was later with ezekiels help and the help of an ancient spider god deep in an underground temple that peter ended up defeating shathra. Now however though he is the prime spider totem he is no longer the host for The Other which could spell trouble for him if she resurfaces to hunt him specifically.
@@krisyannuruha5147 This is gonna flop imo, the current edge of spider-verse comics, a prelude to this event is mediocre at best and boring compared to the og edge of spider-verse cmx from 2015s. The current ASM run is a joke and is becoming more and more worse with each issues. The only good Spidey comic I have now hope for is JMD's lost hunt.

FINALLY, MORLUNS BACK! I've been a fan of his character since his debut. Hopefully they will do justice to his character.
The first Comic I ever read was Ultimate Spider Man 9. Its nostalgic to see Mark Bagley again.
The green glow reminds me of the All New All Different Spider-Man look from a while back. That one was my favorite suit

@@nathanramos4563 Nah, not yet at least. Norman basically explains that he wanted to put the suit on (this Spider suit) to save Pete (sorry, minor but necessary spoilers), but didn't because he's worried that he'll turn back into Goblin if he even touches another glider.
I hope Otto somehow involved since he played a crucial part in the past two Spider-Verse crossover

Donny cates during Hulk vs thor banner of war insinuated that thor Always holds back in combat against Hulk this in addition to being incorrect because Hulk also has quotes that he holds back in combat made all thor fans use this as an argument to belittle the hulk in addition to destroying the thor vs rivalry Hulk i ask as a fan of the 2 that you put a dialogue of the hulk saying that he also holds himself against Thor in combat too

Not sure why, I will always love Bagley's art but the way he draws Morlun... Just doesn't seem quite right, it's more "villain" and less gentlemanly like he's supposed to look. Kinda looks like he tried to mimic Deodato's art way too much in this one and just didn't fit. Still feel like Mike Wieringo did it best
