@@V_For_Vigilante Honestly I don't blame Ultimate Spider-Man for the loss of Spectacular Spider-Man, specially since there were years between the cancel of one and the release of the other. For me 1994 will always be the best ! The animation and voice acting were incredible and the story’s told were amazing. Venom was perfectly done as well, I wish Netflix would pick the series up !
Spider-Man ‘94 USED to be streaming on Netflix in its entirety; that’s where I finally got to see all of the episodes from the beginning to the end. That was years ago, though, and I wish them or Hulu would stream it again!
I personally Liked the Ultimate Spider man the most. cause it digged up deep into the Marvel Comics. in season 3 spider verse happened and in season 4 Venom & Carnage Saga happened

The Ultimate Spider-Man show had so many characters introduced who were interesting characters, but they hardly got that many appearances and it's not like they were treated fairly.
ultimate spideerman still the best series idont know why all of you saying its worst series the worst spiderman series is spectacular shit its a crappy spider man series
The animated series is a classic, bringing all the characters to life in a good representation as well as being faithful to the original Stan Lee- Ditko run of comics. And it still holds up... for the most part! Rewatching it really feels like the early Spidey comics, its a shame it got cancelled without a definitive ending.
Yes but it is possible for the final episode to work as a series finale. At this point the viewer can imagine that Spider-Man got his happy ending after everything he has been through. His due reward for saving the cosmos.
It has a proper ending written (and I think even recorded), but Semper Jr won't yield an inch without money. Guy's also got a pretty massive ego. Acts like if it wasn't for him, Spider-Man would still be obscure today.
@Dan S • A: Super mature. Totally not a jackass. • B: Oh, look! The crowd-funding page for another of his projects with the true ending for Spider-Man Animated as a perk! www.indiegogo.com/projects/war-of-the-rocketmen#/ • C: Anyone who follows any of his Spider-Man pages (especially the Animated Series Facebook page) knows that he considers himself the reason characters like Venom and Black Cat are so popular now. Try not sounding like a defensive fanboy who immaturely calls critics names. Kinda makes you look like a jackass.
I agree that the Animated Series when it first aired in the 90s is what got me into Spider-Man; specifically the first episode I seen with Dr Ock kidnapping Felicia. Prior to that the only comic type characters I was interested in was Batman and the Punisher, maybe the Flash when it had it's one season. The first Toby McGuire Spider-man movie made me lose all interest in future Spider-Man movies. No adaptation seemed to do justice to the basic vision that I had of Spider-man based on this show. The 90s shows of Batman the Animated Series and X-Men, even Superman is superior to any TV series they have made since. The number one on this list looks too childish. Because of the Animated Series of the 90s I don't really enjoy any live action comic book movies. Along with Toby McGuire, X-Men was trash aside from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine portrayal, yet still the Wolverine movies were a mess. The entire DCU is an abomination. Dark Knight Trilogy as a whole was great. MCU movies are alright but I didn't have a lot of prior knowledge of these characters, aside from Bill Bixby. Netflix Daredevil and Punisher are worth watching. But growing up on the 90s classics, I judge the mostly trash that followed harshly.
Stop judging a book by its cover. The #1 on this list is a much better show than your Spider-Man show from the 90s. In the 90s Spider-Man show Spidey wasn't even allowed to throw a punch due to censors. Just watch one action scene from Spectacular and you'll be able to tell the difference. But that's not the only place it's better. It's better in its writing too. It's also more comic accurate. The 90s show really wasn't that comic accurate.
@@nightgirl2419 admittedly I started with the 90s show then the comic origins, I know it's not completely comic accurate but the 90s covered many basic comic arcs. How was "your" poorly animated Spider-Man more comic accurate? Does green goblin appear before hobgoblin, does Gwen Stacy appear as the first love and fall to her death? I never seen this so called #1 on the list here. What could a more comic accurate Spider-Man that lasted only two seasons even cover anyway? This video showed no evidence. But what about you, did you even watch the entire 90s version? I admit I cannot get past the cover of the piss poor animated style you praise. Your complaint that Spider-Man not being able to actually be seen punching someone is not the mark of what series is superior. Its actually a fact thrown around by people who never watched the show. Most people who enjoyed the series would not notice that PC handicap of the time because the story was good. What did bother me was the firearms in the 90s show which were shitty futuristic looking laser toys, but that is just a bad visual in the presentation; your series the whole presentation is a bad visual. 90s had after the first 13episodes groups of episodes usually 14 broken into story arcs: neo-genic nightmare, sins of the father, partners, etc. One of those seasons alone was probably more comic accurate than your entire series. But give me an argument, maybe I will check out your poorly drawn series someday.
Chris Chen Disney’s Spider-Man shows haven’t been as deep, poetic or as intelligent as Spectacular so I’m glad they’re leaving the 2008 series as it is. Not saying Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man are bad (Ultimate does annoy me though from time to time) but how the characters and stories were handled in both shows wouldn’t suit the Spectacular universe if Disney were to pick up where Sony left off. And I would admit that Sony’s had their own fair share of stumbles. *cough* *cough* TASM 2 *cough* *cough*
@@smoothwizard2868 I loved Ultimate spiderman because it tried to do something different unlike spectacular which stick to the source. Spectacular was a good show but it didn't made me excited for the next episode

1. Spectacular Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man TAS 3. Spider-Man TNAS 4. Ultimate Spider-Man 5. 1960s 6. Marvel's Spider-Man 7. Friends 8. 1980s 9. Unlimited Please note that this is *MY* opinion. If you have a problem with the list, move on and try not to bash my opinions.
I’m not bashing your opinion but the reason why unlimited wasn’t the worst for me was that they distilled Spider-Man and Peter Parker to their purest points. Even on another planet he was the guy that saved the common people, down on his luck but still helping those around him finding friends, being part of the community. Ultimate was the exact opposite he was in his familiar setting but he was just a shield agent and then the shield leader. It didn’t feel like Spider-Man anymore. So for my list they would switch places.
@@alphaBravoAB finally someone give unlimited spidey a bit of credit would not put that show on the top 4 but it was better than this shit show spiderman now has on disney.
Plus it has the single best superhero theme song ever made, better than Superman the Movie, Wonder Woman, and the 1989 Batman, its only near competitors.

to be honest, ultimate just has the nostalgia factor to me. it was my first spiderman cartoon, and I remember the episode where peter reveals his identity to may very clearly, so it just has that special place In my heart
For some it will be in people's top 5, but it for many it was the first Spidey show they ever watched. Had the preferred Venom though since it was strong but not overly buff like Spectacular, Ultimate, and Marvel's Spider-Man.
Hey CaptainMidnight! This comment is gonna get drowned out for sure, but I just want to commend your editing and your originality. Your transitions are awesome, your videos are really well written and your content always makes me tingle with nostalgia and geeky joy. Keep up the great work! I think the MTV show is still pretty damn underrated. I like to come back to it every now and then and admire the darker version of the character. I wish the show went further :/

@Nemesis King Spectacular Spider-Man/TAS was one the greatest, and no not just for nostalgic. The Disney versions mostly Ultimate I find less but good animation, marvel Spider-Man has good plot but lacks on a pretty good animation.
@Nemesis King I'll be honest for 2 seasons of Ultimate, I really liked, then I got real sick of hearing Drake, and him breaking the 4th wall EVERY episode. It got stale to me.
@Nemesis King Marvel, has some very good plot like my favorite: The Superior Spider-Man Arc or maybe Maximum Venom, the animation.... it's improving. But it feels like they really need to improve on the plot, the plot keeps on going back to the same place, that's my main issue.
@@AgentVenom95 honestly theres a lot I like about the latest show but it could have been much better if they introduced Miles as spidey later on in the show, gwen and anya shouldn't be spiders, and I don't like how everyone's smart like how peter is introduced as an annoying know it all who cant shut his mouth(although he got much less annoying as the show went on) and how everyone around him is a kid genius who smarter than tony stark and can probably build a portal to another universe in their basement. Just hate all the nerdy shit.
Spiderman the animated series will always have a special place in my heart❤ I remember waking up Saturday mornings and watching Fox Kids with a big bowl of cereal next to me lol
Honestly I would have liked to see more of that morlun guy spider hunters from the comic other it was good just got a little annoying as they pretty much just used doc ock for every single villain moment
personally i like ultimate spider man because it tried something a bit new. it had more obscure characters from the marvel universe, it was funny and it looked good. I honestly liked it, it was consistent through most of the show, personally it's my favourite
It was a little weird in the Web Warriors series when Spider-Ham got added because this show's Spider-Man was essentially the cartoon Spiderman. Great show through I would put it into second place behind the God-Tier Show
Cuz first of all like y’all made Peter and Gwen like each other for .5 seconds then dropped it completely you didn’t even have a love interest till the last season and y’all include black cat for what without even keeping her character why does Spider-Man have all these friends like ghost spider or miles if half the time there not even there to help him they don’t have real story’s about them
Spectacular spider man was literally my childhood and the into song is burned into my brain to this day. I’m glad someone else loves it as much as I do
personally i really love unlimited spiderman, i'm re watching it now and the early first season admittedly isn't that great. but when alot of other characters come into play like scarlet spider it's an amazing watch
HOw thO but he does develop. comparing s4 spidey and s1 spidey you can see how he develops and changes without corrupting his basic morals through the show
EdawgE I think a great Spidey show has to have comedy and action, but there’s a little too much comedy in Ultimate. Half of the jokes are cheesy and forced, and some really touching and/or serious moments are completely ruined by corny quipping.
1. Spiderman TAS 2. Spectacular Spiderman. The story lines from TAS were better than spectacular. Spectacular was really good and should have lasted for 3 seasons. I Miss those days
@@jacobtrimble4329 i havent seen the show since i was a kid 1997 98 99. But i recall the storylines were real good. Plus there were more seasons. And they had characters and plots that would carry over from first to last.
I remember my mom buying two CDs from SpiderMan:The animated series including the episodes with the mechanised spider robots and the fake green goblin.I just fell in love with the show.
I expected Ultimate to be super awesome when they announced it, but it was waaaaaaay too into little kiddies and stupid jokes, so I barely managed to finish first season, but the newest one is really cool...they even covered all new major story arcs...the superior spidey, the goblin nation...cool! And first season is really cool, I love Harry's character and their friendship. Still 90s is the best of them all
I really like Ultimate Spiderman tbh just because of how much it expanded the world they covered a ton of storylines they did symbiotes and Agent Venom then Carnage, hell they even did Spiderverse
I’m a fan of venom, and ultimate Spider-Man introduced me to the character as a child. To this day, that show was the best in my eyes if you wanted a good looking venom. I’m wondering if that’s the case with any other venom fans
It was the same for me, Ultimate Spider-man introduced me to Agent Venom, who later became one of my favourites characters of Marvel ever. It's one of the few series that bothered developing Flash Thompson's character, like in the comics.
@@toesnub9676 LOL I WAS REWATCHING THE SERIES AND THIS SCENE WAS RECENT AF LOL! He says this when he lands the safety cone on Rhino's horn. Ah, Spidey you, you joker you.
I agree about the Spectacular Spider-Man being the best Spider-Man tv show that aired on television. I still rewatch episodes every once in a while and I never tend to get bored!
The reason that the 1967 Spider-Man was so great was that it was heads and tails above all the other superhero cartoons and better than most other cartoons at the time. Also, the soundtrack was amazing for its time. There is a reason that it kept being shown decades after its release.
8:50 Yes. That’s because there is no animation in a screenshot. Animation is the act of simulating movement through drawings, and there’s no movement in a screenshot. (Sorry for being picky, but stuff like this really bothers me)
That stuff bothers me a lot as well. Like ffs, it takes only 2 seconds to look up the meaning and it is still UNIVERSALLY misused. People still think art style is animation.
Spectacular is definitely my favorite. It has a great story and it's nostalgic. I also don't hate the ultimate cartoon, it could have been the best though. If only it was accurate to the comics... Spider-Man the new animated series is probably my second favorite. It's short and the CGI isn't the best since it came out in like 2003, but it's really enjoyable. Spider-man and his amazing friends was one of the first Spider-Man shows that I watched when I was younger so it's nostalgic. So is unlimited and the og cartoon. I don't think I particularly dislike any of Spider-Man shows. I haven't seen much of the marvel Spider-Man cartoon, but I'll watch it more eventually.
I watched Spiderman and His Amazing friends and got the impression for the longest time that Dr. Doom is a Spiderman villain and left wondering why he doesn't appear in future Spiderman-centric shows.
As soon as I saw the New Animated Series in the #3 spot... I knew... I knew that I had to write RUclips Executives a letter, demanding the option to like a video multiple times.
And I don't know why people hate it so much. If you are a child watching a show, you are not gonna rate it on how it moves. I'm a child, the target demographic, and I don't notice anything wrong with it! It is unfair picking on it for such a reason. I hope my point gets across
I really do liked Spider-Man animated Series from 1994 especially the theme song, but I still wished the writers made one last episode featuring Peter Parker/ Spider Man with Madame Web finding the real Mary Jane and then return to their reality as a proper happy ending instead of leaving the Series as a cliff hanger😒.

His due reward for saving the cosmos.
all good spidey series get cancelled :,(
At least it got a good runtime. Spectacular died after two seasons.
It has a proper ending written (and I think even recorded), but Semper Jr won't yield an inch without money.
Guy's also got a pretty massive ego. Acts like if it wasn't for him, Spider-Man would still be obscure today.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series was the show that got me into Spider-Man
I got into spider Man buy reading ultimate Spiderman comics
I remember staying up late and watching Spider-man the animated series on TV
Spectacular Spider-Man's writer Greg Wiseman also made the best DC show (in my opinion) Young Justice.
At least Young Justice now has a chance to properly finish its run unlike Spectacular.
