    This is why Casio is the digital king. So much innovation and cool tech that most will not even know about. Thanks for all the hard work that went into this. Really deserves more views.

    THAT.. WAS... WONDERFUL! I think we're approaching the point where even the most hardcore enthusiast will have a hard time learning about all of the highlights. I haven't even started down the Pro Trek rabbit hole, and I'm realizing, I need to start. I'm a newb, and it was Rainbow IP that first caught my interest in G-Shocks, and first converted me away from a 100% mechancial-watch guy. TIL that G-Shock started with the rainbow IP in the 2010's, not the 2020 as I had thought. Lunar Rainbow, eh? I learned a lot of other cool stuff too. This one's getting saved into a playlist.

      Thankyou! What a nice comment. It’s fun to make these as I learn about so many cool watches. I have a rather nice rainbow watch which is the g-shock 2021 kith collaboration. It’s in my SOTC (I think…)

    Great job. I wish you would have slowed the pace slightly though, this was an excellent period in G-Shock/Casio history, I wanted to savor each and every model without having to press pause every two seconds. Some models disappear from the screen in a blink. However, watching this was like waking up on Christmas morning and seeing all the presents under the tree. I cant wait to see everything the current decade brings from the G-Shock devision of Casio. Thanks for your presentation.

    • @IlluminatingWatches
      @IlluminatingWatches  2 года назад +1

      Ha ha Thankyou! I somewhat go for breadth over depth for these. I totally get the need to better balance the pace though. I found from older slower paced videos that I get a big drop off than when I’m a bit quicker

    Superb research and video as usual. I hope that your subscriber count rises up to the numbers you deserve
    This last decade of casios is contradictory in my humble opinion. The technological advances are there and are unquestionable, but I think that casio is focusing their business more in the occasional one-piece fashion buyer than in the many 80s kids fanboys who buys more than one watch. At least in my case, I finally have some extra cash to get the casio watches that I loved and wished as a kid, but casio no longer makes them
    Anyway, I will always prefer a world with casio watches (no matter what kind) to a world without the last digital watch manufacturer. Casio will always be my favorite brand
    Thanks as always for sharing your content!

    • @IlluminatingWatches
      @IlluminatingWatches  2 года назад

      Thanks so much - I really appreciate the kind comments! I sort of agree, but it doesn’t really affect me too much as there are still oceans of Casios out there to be discovered. The whole vintage avenue expands this so much as well. If you think of the sheer volume of innovations they’ve done over the years - consistently - they are hard to beat!!

    First, I want to thank you for all the time you put on researching and making these videos.
    Second, would it be possible to look a little bit into the Oceanus line from Casio, maybe a time line, because it is kind of difficult to pinpoint the first year when they started it.
    Thank you and subscribed.

      @@IlluminatingWatches managed to purchase one, but that diagram on the bottom part of the upper display is barely visible even in very good light, so I’m trying to determine if that’s a fault or just normal. There are RUclips videos saying that the upper display is kind of hard to read, but there are also eBay listings where the moon position diagram is quite visible. Don’t know if that’s due to camera exposure, though.

    • @IlluminatingWatches
      @IlluminatingWatches  2 года назад

      @@szlaeyer22 I’ve rarely seen any really good conditions version of that one. There is always something suspicious. Despite my interest and enthusiasm I’m really not good on actually fixing up things. The vintage digital watch channel has some amazing content in that sort of stuff.
