It's not traumatic, it's beautiful. It's just pure, unapologetic story telling. Not concerned whatsoever with what anyone anywhere might say against it, because they knew that bringing the source material to life was all they had to do to make something really special. I loved made in abyss and I don't "love" anything. I have very few S tier anime's but this one in particular sits in a very special place above everything else. I don't regret being born now rather than any other time because I get to experience made in abyss. Maybe I like it a little too much, but what's life without something to hold close?

I did literally repwat season 1 and watch movie and second season.. it was nice journey full of sadness, strong emotions, happiness, depression... the story is just so deeply made that it felt like i watch anime first time again... majikaja, maaa, miss from restaurant, vueko, belaf, the weird old man that were listening to god, man... time to sleep, too much overthinking..
From a manga reader, there's a LOT more cute coming! Well, not a lot. The manga is only a movie and like 3 episodes ahead. So... maybe half a season in total? The manga is a VERY slow monthly-bi-monthly update. Stops almost completely when the anime is in production.
