      couldn’t have said it any better .. he realized that playing mistake free and putting the game in his defenses hand (game managing) is the easy way to go .. but he’s a natural born game breaker and a highlight waitin to happen .. this is unfair

    This is what I've been trying to explain to people since Lamar got drafted. He has, by far, the highest ceiling of any QB ever. If the undisputed greatest running QB of all time were to develop into a comparably dominant passer, there would be nothing that opposing defenses can do to stop him. IMO at this point, Lamar's clearly become one of the best pure passers in the league. The Superbowl may just become the Ravens' invitational for the next few years if the roster can just maintain an average level of health.

      The difference this year is that he know he doesn't HAVE to run if his receivers aren't open. He's created this unique way of scrambling his receivers open, and like stated here, it's nearly impossible to ask defenses to cover NFL caliber receivers for 5+ seconds

    • @choosecarefully408

      People do not care. If I linked Kurt Warner's or anyone else's videos on how Greg Roman's offense proved this video wrong & that no, more time in the pocket does not lead automatically to receivers getting open would _you_ care?
      No because you want to believe in Lamar. Well the people you talk to want to believe in All Teams giving All QBs equal chances & that they & they only determine wins & losses & Lamar loses in the playoffs. So no, they don't want to _believe that_ he can be good & lose & people who support him don't want to believe that their Beloved Franchise can work against him.
      This is why people think Fields is a bust despite the fact that he led the lowly Bears to being The #1 Offense *in the NFL* for three weeks straight _BEFORE_ they acquired D.J. Moore. Some bust. But again, people just want to be stupid & ignore details, even ones that only _might_ go against their beliefs.

    Making time is a great thing, but it catches up to you...
    LJ8's two season ending injuries happened because of holding the ball for 4 plus seconds...
    What he is doing this year, that he hasn't done in the past, is hit checkdowns more often - wr's & backs crossing or in the flat.
    It is better to get the ball out, and nothing will ever change that fact!!
    LJ8's unique athleticism makes it possible for him to hold the ball more often without bad ramifications, than most qb's... but it will bite him back... again... sooner or later.
    He went three seasons doing it without getting injured, but has had two season ending injuries due to the trait that you are applauding in this video.
    He had contact that he needn't have had against Cleveland & Denver in '21 & '22... that ended both seasons for him & the Ravens; & in '22 he could have made a playoff run as the Ravens D was becoming what it is now... by the end of last season, heading into the postseason!!
    Just hope that there isn't a defender he doesn't see that clocks him before the end of the SB...???

    • @miwawilliams1339
      @miwawilliams1339 10 месяцев назад +2

      Correction... Lamar's injuries were all (including the concussion in the playoffs) due to collapsing pocket.

    • @timottes334
      @timottes334 10 месяцев назад

      Correction... WRONG!!
      He held the ball over 3 seconds and ran away from a delayed blitzer whom clipped his ankle in the Cleveland game!!
      Against Denver he held the ball too long & had two open receivers - Andrews over the middle & Edwards in the flat - ignored them & decided to pull it down & run & got clipped again and fell on his knee and injured it.
      He is playing qb the same as last year with one exception - he's taking what's given more often.
      You don't know what you're talking about regarding his injuries, nor football generally!
      A pocket cannot hold, isn't expected to hold for more than 2.5, 2.75 seconds unless yer in max protect and have help in protection!!
      D Linemen beating O linemen after those points isn't the linemen's fault, it's the fault of the qb for holding the ball too long...@@miwawilliams1339

    • @timottes334
      @timottes334 10 месяцев назад +2

      Lamar's avg time to throw last year was 3.0 sec's... between Kenny Pickett & Justin Fields...
      2021... it was 2.96... between Teddy Bridgewater & Taylor Heinecke...
      2020... it was 2.98... between Russel Wilson & Josh Allen ( 3.04....) Wilson is a notorious holder of the ball & we see where that has gotten him once he's way from the Pete Carrol system... Allen is built like a damn tank...
      2019... it was 2.92... between Ryan Tannehill & Sam Darnold...
      2018... it was 3.1 seconds...between Allen & Wilson again...
      2023... he's at 2.95 which is between Josh Dobbs & Patrick Mahomes & we know the year he's having...
      He's always down there with the lower level qb's in Time To Throw.
      At about 3.0 every season!!!
      He had a top5 rated line by PFF last season, too, and still got injured by holding the ball too long.
      If you knew anything you'd know this, but...
      2023... he is 5th in Intended Air Yards Per Throw...
      2022... he is around 5th in Intended Air Yards...
      2021... He's 2nd in Intended Air Yards...
      2020... 9th in Intended Air Yards...
      2019... 8th, 9th in Intended Air Yards
      2018... 15th in Intended Air Yards... So, even as a rookie & coming in in the middle of the season... he's in the middle in attempting to get the ball down field!!
      Combining Time To Throw & Intended Air Yards tells you what... Genius...?
      He holds the ball to try and get it downfield, no matter the strength or weakness of his offensive lines year in and year out!!!
      Holding the ball like he does engenders contact that wouldn't occur if he got rid of the ball quicker, and results in injuries!!!
      It is a natural consequence of his style of play... PERIOD!!

      I would actually say Lamar does definitely throw quite a lot of shorter routes, especially sticks, slants, and checkdowns to his RBs. I do agree in that Brady basically dinked and dunked every single play while Lamar only does it as a second or third option

    • @billyhill7630
      @billyhill7630 7 месяцев назад

      Brady did that to the tune of 7 superbowl wins. Brady reads the defense and knows where to throw it to exploit that defense. If they take away the deep throw then you dink and dunk. Lamar is no where close to Brady or Manning as far as reading a defense.

      Since u just want to spew shit without context cus its clear that he is not only better than your fav QB but he is also the best QB in the league. And has been since taking over for flacco. So instead of calming the fuck down, how about u sit the FUCK DOWN and shut the FUCK UP while put everything in context for u since you are willing to allow your feelings to take over and make u hate what u dont understand. Cus its clear u didnt watch lj8 and if u did then u just dont understand the game and what u are/were watching. Lamar does more than any other QB and player is asked to do. And since lamar took over for flacco he has done nothing but win. Now he has never had A REAL TALENTED SUPPORTING CAST or OC since starting for the ravens. And please leave that "gregs offense was built around lamars skillset" bullshit right where u found it. Because its nit true. That offense was built around gregs inability to understand and scheme up nfl caliber passing concepts. So that particular offense handicapped lamar because lamar was the only QB from his draft class that was pro ready lining up under center readimg defenses because he had to under bobby patrino in college running a pro style spread offense. So that whole false narrative that lamar couldnt throw accurately or read defenses was a lie along with the lie being told he was a run first QB. Now as the starting QB for Baltimore he has never had top tier talent around him besides at TE and kicker. As a matter of fact lamar had the exact same level of talent around him in 2019 that pat has around him now. Bus drivers at WR and a HOF TE. And yet lamar single handedly carried his team to the playoffs every year as the #1 or #2 seed until he got injured during the previous 2 years. Now lamar greatness elevated the talent around him. Yet they were not built for the playoffs. Because even though lamar dragged them to the playoffs when u get in to the post season you usually play other PLAYOFF CALIBER TEAMS and until now LAMAR HAS NEVER HAD ANYTHING CLOSE TO A PLAYOFF TEAM. And this year its only a step up in talent around him. But still a step down from what his counterparts habe around them. And thats the difference because when lamar had bullshit talent around him he was unstoppable. And now that he has talent thats just a step up from what he had previously and a more complex, complete passing attack... Now the league cant do shit with him. And he didnt play bad in the playoff games he loss but his team did let him down. So while u are busy being scared of what u dont understand and allowing your feelings to cause u to ignorantly attack what u dont understand. Just know u are causing yourself to miss out on greatness and history being made. Even though your QB is either at home or will be sent home in the first round. Face it lamar is the shit and csnt be denied anymore by the ignorant foolish people. Because at every turn he continues to make "THOSE" that "THINK LIKE YOU" look stupid because he continues to prove yall wrong because of yall foolish pride, ego, or just old prehistoric racist mindset.... Either way your ignorance will be used against u... Fucking dummy
