I never hated Halo 5. Of course there was things that, per say, weren't up to "standards", but I greatly enjoyed the campaign. To me, it never really was Cortana in h5 because it was explained in h4 about how the "rest of me" is down there. I never saw this trilogy as Cortanas but when you said that it makes sense and I believe it too. Thanks for the podcast! I loved the longer video!
Stellar exchange, lore, analysis and theories guys! The one after S3’s launch was great too but with this one, you will made me play Halo 5 (and I think enjoy it), I swear I hate this game for many reasons but you made me realize that I could have been influenced by others too. On top of that, you literally made me buy The Rubicon Protocol novel, and I’m new to Halo, definitely not a book addict and not a native English speaker. Thank you guys!
Super glad to hear you enjoyed the podcast! I’ll be posting more soon enough. Also, it makes me super happy to hear you got Rubicon Protocol. I absolutely loved that book. Let me know what you think! I did a map guide video to that book that should come in handy as well
@@haloguy And I will be here to listen all of them, for sure. I learn so much stuff from your takes! I already watched several of your content around the launch of the Rubicon Protocol. Especially the ones where you are looking for accurate locations depicting in the novel. But also, the one where you explain the fact that this novel bring back the horror aspects of Halo and also all the stuff and theories you said in the first podcast with Sacred Icon (the signal at the end of the book, a potential link to a banished invasion *somewhere*, ect). I should get my copie at the end of the week, can’t wait. Yes, I will make a thread on Twitter and quote you, once I beat the book! Again, thank you for THAT level of content and positivity.
These are some very different ideas than what is normally talked about in halo and i love it! I never liked halo 5s story but im a huge halo 4 guy, i just think that with the fourunner trilogy they were gonna do so much more with chiefs mutation at the librarians hand and maybe even isntead of chief getting a new AI he could have awakened a gene song of bornstellar and have a whole story about chief, bornstellar, the UR didact, medicant bias.
I definitely agree with much you said here. I often wonder if the pivot in story telling happened because of fan backlash, which is too bad because halo 4 deserved so much more love upon its launch than what it got
They should've just made a proper Halo campaign instead of this pseudo open world it feels like it actively holds the game back from having interesting environments.
I’ve spent so many hours exploring those islands on zeta island and have had a blast discovering new things. Lots of mysteries to unravel. I know others don’t share that experience though
This halo game has almost more story than any other I’d argue and it’s not just for hardcore lore fans. All of the high value targets have a story behind them and there’s a really fun story to unravel that is presented to you without having to dive deep into it. So on that point I’d disagree 🤷🏻♂️
@@whatup7007I loved exploring zeta halo as a dire hard lore fan tho I was very disappointed, with all of the ties to the flood and medicant bias and the primordial! There was so much that happened on zeta halo that I feel they didn't capitalize on due to ease of access to the story.
@levihancock5214 although I agree with you and wish there was more to explore, at the end of the day Halo Infinite appears to be a Master Chief-centric game as opposed to a game about Zeta Halo and its history. I’m sure that will be explored later
This was a great time! We need another Halo Guy episode.
You guys are the best 🫶
Name the time and place and I’ll be there 🫡
It is so refreshing to hear people be positive about 343i. I appreciate it!
That’s what you’ll find here
@@haloguy Sometimes I forget that between uploads and spending time on Halo Twitter.
I could listen to you talking about Halo all day long ! Love your theories 😊 You inspire Hope and positivity! Thanks again 😁
More podcasts on the way!

@whatup7007 I disagree. I found Zeta Halo to be bland, boring, and empty.
