I'm around S550's daily and I dont think the interior design is an upgrade. The quality is a little better on the S550, but the Foxbody dash is just so iconic. What about integrating the door panels, seats and console from the S550 integrated with the Fox dash? Maybe some of the electronics too?
I got a 92 coupe in my backyard. I recently picked it up. It had a vortec v1 on it and a bunch of other goodies I got it running and ended up, taking it apart to clean it all up. Then i got ahead of myself and sold the swap I don’t care to much about the swap i got some good stuff left i could get a 302 again Always wanted to swap anyways I just dont know what route to start because i want to modernize the whole car front to back top to bottom it needs body work also Or just sell the roller seems way easier
I’m in the process of swapping a 2015 in a 92 gt going to try using the wiring from the 15 and swapping the firewalls any advice would be appreciated!!!
The S550 seats are the best, I fabricate and sell the front bracket to make them fit for the guys that dont have time to do the measurements, cutting, and welding. I used to make the rears but it was too much of a hassle. We are doing the entire interior in my brother's coupe. It's a work in progress. Another great video 👍
Here's an idea. Instead of a wheel and tire kit, how about a 5 lug conversion kit??? I scored one hell of a deal on rims for my Fox Body. I knew what I wanted long before I found the deal. The deal popped up, deal was done. Now... I have to get the 5 lug conversion done to my Fox Body. Unfortunately, for me, I have to take money out of the Fox Body fund to pay the government for the 2022 tax year.
Best way in my opinion is to just swap in the SN95 parts. Just swap in a 8.8 out of a ‘94-‘04 Mustang that will give you 5 lugs and rear disc brakes. It bolts right in and only needs a little work to connect the rear brake hoses to the brake lines as the Fox bodies only have 1 brake line that goes to the rear of the car that then tees off to each wheel while the SN95 has 2 brake lines that run to the rear (which was done for the ABS system). I can’t remember exactly how it’s done but I remember it wasn’t hard or expensive to modify. For the front again just find ‘94-‘04 spindles (the ‘96-‘04 spindles will push the front wheels out just a bit like around a 1/8” or so). These will almost bolt right in only needing a spacer for the ball joints (the Fox ball joints are longer so the bolt won’t sit on the spindle therefore you need the spacer or swap out the Fox ball joints for the SN95’s) and a adapter for the passenger side brake hose to connect to the brake line. Both the spacers and adapter can be bought at LMR for cheap. Lastly I highly recommend swapping the master cylinder out to match the brakes for obvious safety reasons. This is the cheapest route that not only gives you 5 lug but also upgrades your brakes as the Foxbody factory brakes leave a lot to be desired.
Great video, really enjoy being a subscriber! I'm about to embark on a centre console journey for my '86 Capri, no idea what it's going be yet but it will be an adventure, lol.
I've had the idea of a s550 IRS going into a fox for awhile now. I'm looking at buying one in a couple months to start it. There's a guy on RUclips that has it installed in a SN95 mustang. so it can be done but definitely will require a wide body kit.
Meh. Stick with the 99-04 IRS swap. They operate better with delrin bushings. I’d also stay with the stock Fox interior…cup holder console, 2 DIN, digital gauge swap and whatever other little things.
Great video with some awesome ideas! Thanks for everything you do Caleb we all know it's a lot of work. I wouldn't have my bad ass stifflers crossmember on my car if it wasn't for you, the giveaways and the subscription!
Great ideas for sure. I've wondered what my 87 would be like with everything from my 16 GT in it and it would probably be sweet. I do enjoy the 2002 seats in my 87 though. I did the front and rears 21+ years ago and they do look so much better than the flat Fox seat. It would be a nice project for the whole S550 interior!
Great video on ideas. If I remember correctly the T-birds, cougars, and mark7 I believe are at least 61 inches in the rear end or wider, about the same as a new edge mustang
Great content and great ideas I would love to see a fox body coupe with the S550 irs and wide body kit also using the S550 frt brakes ! How cool would that be ? Keep up the amazing work and content Thank You . Best Wishes and Luck . 🇺🇲 🇵🇷 🦊 👍
I understand you are trying to keep the channel fresh; however , if you add a coyote engine, 10 speed trans, IRS, traction control, new K member and a new interior; do you still have a fox body? I really like the fact that it has none of those things. Raw and light-weight! If you are not careful, you are going to be another Foose. Not trying to be negative, just love "old school" because it is different from what everyone sees in every showroom!
Maybe try to bolting the S550 spindle to the fox body’s control arm…..? That way you could use the whole S550 brakes @11:29
Great ideas ❤

Awesome stuff & show as usual ideas into action longtime no more lackin traction wish Ford listened2me when sold 99-01 all wheel drive Fox Body dreams
I have s197 front seats in my 88 hatch. Has anyone tried rear seat in the hatchback???
Pfaff designs did that green Notchback here in Michigan. It’s bad ass!
The S550 IRS is a swap I'm wanting to do. It has been done in a SN95 before by AJ Hartman.
Would a 96 t-bird rear like work. It 8.8.
Wide. I've a 93 here.
Not to mention the bolt pattern is smaller.
@@hotrodray6802 could you change the hubs to a 4 1/2 on 5 from the 4 1/4
Look up "That 1320 Chick" here on youtube. Her and her husband grafted the dash, doorpanels and console out of an S550 in to an SN95.
Can you help I’m looking for wheels and tires for my 1994 f150
