When you say "race" if you mean would I drive the car then yes of course.. And if you mean race against it then yes of course I would race it with my foxbody.... Although I've got not a chance against that thing.
Sounds interesting. I do the same with my centrifugal sc. I have a wastegate on my charge pipe with a boost controller. So I can have different amounts of boost based on my controller duty cycle, from spring pressure (10psi) pressure to full boost (18psi)
We didn't have time to get a run down after the event sadly so not sure if they were simply out foxed or if there were some teething issues. To be fair though there are some really high quality builds there, and not everyone can come first eh 😂 - Taz.
Followed the build and had huge hopes for this car. I realize it's pretty much a track car but was disappointed with the fit and finish. Perhaps I was expecting something like the Ring Bros.
It's a pretty loose term for many of these cars, remembering that also varies from country to country, and is a line in the sand really. There are guys who wouldn't even run coil overs in their street build let alone remove carpets, fit cages, go without a stereo etc etc etc 😅 - Taz.
@@spacedoutcowboy5211 Puts a bit of a problem on the situation if it's regional and then they have a nationals competition at the end of the season. I live in England but am aware of states like California that are "Enthusiastic" about their rules and regs. The format looks perfect to go proper racing without having to buy a GT3. The problem with this type of build, is that the events become a battle of the credit cards rather than a, "can't quite afford it unless I sell the misses" if you then want to compete at or near the front. A nationally agreed set of regs. is whats needed for the average guy to get involved.
Just don't look at what the likes of LS V8's, Ferrari V10s or Lamborghini V12's etc make then otherwise you will abssolutley have a stroke 😂 They however, are only 2 figures of many - Taz.
I'll buy you a beer from the highest shelf in your local bar if you fit 3 x K24's to your Fox Body flavour Mustang and give OUSCI a crack fella. I'll even hold your other beer while you do it. Go on. The old you would have - Taz.
hp per kg / lb of engine weight makes a lot more sense than hp per liter as displacement does NOT necessarily mean an engine is actually big or heavy. These 7.3s have iron blocks thats what makes then heavy, but something like a LS3 is 6.2 liters and is still lighter and smaller than a 3.0 BMW turbo inline 6, 4 liter DOHC v8, na porsche flat 6, or even some turbo 2 liters.

That engine could run the Le Mans race like a boss.

Blank stares… next question! Lol of course!
Sam Hiu is wicked smart
Can you post a video of the math he used to come up with the EGT numbers per cylinder he was expecting? Haven't seen that before.
Awesome car, was surprised to see it so low on the results.

Enough displacement for three cars hahaha, great stuff
Or 7.5 depending on the size of car and engine package we're talking 😁 - Taz.
"Period correct" 🤔 Other than it being an OHV engine that may be a bit of stretch to say it's similar to an 80s 5.0 🙃
moreso a case of big displacement v8 engine used in racing application.
It is a cam in block pushrod V8. A lot more period correct than a DOHC motor like a coyote.

I just Wanna hear it ! 😤

Your turn I reckon 😂

That's not really a street car.

Depends on the region. In the southeast (Carolinas,GA and Florida) if it's got glass windows and registration it's a street car.

...7.3L for 1000hp.
Please stop. That's ludicrously inefficient.

Only 1000hp out of a 7.3L....sounds heavy and dumb af. How about 3 K24s at 500hp stock internals.
@@IlPinnacolo Youre point? Still an inline four?
