Hot Tent camping in cold weather. Winter has not quite come to my area yet but we still got cold enough for a little snow. Hot Tent is from RBM Outdoors hot-tent.com/c...
Jason, thank you for what you do and thank you for being a part of the motivation to “get out there”. And this video shows there are countless ways to do it.
Your videos are always so cinematic and relaxing. Each one is a great story wish they were an hour long... as always thank you for sharing with us!! Keep up the great work 👍
I went from car-based tent camping to van camping. I can't go back. But I admire your set up. NIce 2-fer...cleaned up the road and got some good firewood.
Good to see the ole 250 out and about! Love tent camping but a slave to the creature comforts of my trailer. I love the fog for photography but the mountain in the distance was awesome!
Great video! This one is gold! These are the types of videos that originally inspired us. "Please, Sir, Can we have some more?" P.S. Cut your hair, you hippy. Just joshing, I love it. Just no man-bun, please. 😂
I truly love this video. It reminds me of when I first started following your channel. I hope maybe once a month you return back to your old beginning 👍✌️⛺️🏕
Excellent video Jason… really like all the shots with the fog, and the one of the mountains!! Over the fog layer, spectacular!! Good to see you out in a cool ass tent!!! lol
Love watching your channel. I don't normally leave comments. But after watching your for the past 3-4 years . Will your ever get another dog. I miss those videos of you and Daisy usually go back to the old videos so i can see Daisy she was definitely an amazing dog and greatly missed.
Thanks for The Change-Up seeing something different. I noticed in the background you had one of those Walmart 7 gallon water water container I think I know why you had it on a upright position I have several of those and those little white valves leak what I did was get a 3/4 closed nipple with a 3/4 PVC ball valve with 3/4 pipe thread to hose thread so I can add a little piece of hose at the end to direct it downward into my pots or whatever I'm filling up and I just use a 3/4 inch thread plug to the other ones so I just moved that ball valve around whatever jug I need to use
When i had the trailer I wanted to put a hole and adaptor for my stove pipe in the wall kit for the 180 awning but sold it before getting around to it and have the Kimbo now ...wood stoves are fun to cook with...maybe use it with your van too under your awning....
So great to see the old Ford again! Also, I’ve missed watching you chop wood. It’s very therapeutic. I also miss you having a dog with you. Do you ever think about getting another one? P.S. I hope this doesn’t sound mean, but please remember to comb your hair! Better yet, get it cut short and you won’t have to worry about combing it. 😊
I agree with you about the tent. We upgraded to a small travel trailer years ago, and never looked back. I very admire your overall camping skills. In your part of the world all that dead-fall timber is a great resource. The chain saw with the bed of the truck as a platform to work & saw from are a great asset. I have a ‘99 F-350 extended cab, long bed, with the 7.3L diesel. It’s a beast. I’m really thankful for your mention in the last episode about the “delete the seat” concept. We’re definitely going to delete the rear seat in the old F-350. It will greatly improve our ability to carry gear in compartmentalized totes, etc., and hang clothes on a pole between the doors. Wishing you well, and Happy Camping!
I’ve been pretty much every kind of camping…truck, tent, trailer, rock. Yes I fell asleep on a rock after a 5 mile hike because it was really cold and felt good. I’ll take my trailer on long trips, like over 4 days or so, or if I’m expecting bad weather, but I’ve really enjoyed my cot tent. Swapped out the air mattress for a memory foam one, so it’s warmer in the winter. I haven’t got the awning on my Suburban yet, so I just use a pop-up to bridge the back and the tent. Haven’t finished my box in back yet (need to get the full extensions), but it works great for cooking and whatnot. Hopefully I’ll get the mini solar system soon. Definitely different from my trailer, but comfortable. Can’t wait to get the camper done for my old F350. It’ll be much more mobile, kinda like your van. Great video. Beautiful scenery. Makes me want just leave work and go. 😂
I love the view above the clouds reminds me of where my grandparents came from. When you go below the fog; rain and wet but above it's nice, sunny and dry. Thanks for the reminder of how nice some places are

Serene yet eerie as you drove through the fog.
The quality of videography is unsurpassed!
Perfect thumbnail, it could be a Christmas card
Great photography. Love your tent and stove, would not fit on my motorcycle unfortunately 😂
A nice change up. I miss seeing Daisy and Wheeler out there with you.

Old school when you first started….. great return to your roots, great photography you’ve mastered your craft
Perfect words to live by for so many reasons: "Turns out to be a good day to be outside"
Just like the old days when you had to pick up 👍👍🙂🇨🇦🔥
Just stick to the van jason. If that’s what you like then stick with it .
Alligator Juniper is my favorite wood to burn. Check that, Aspen is pretty nice too.
What happened to the ol’ Kodiak Canvas tent? Loved those videos 😊
Are all these places u camp just the same forest in different areas?
Cool Hudson Bay blanket
Always enjoy your content
I love those tents 😍
That ain’t a ten, that’s the Taj Mahal.

Amazing. Looks so peaceful. Great content. Safe travels 🙏
Nice.
While making content in the forest you are possibly saving the forest from catching on fire one day by collecting firewood. Beautiful.
Amazing shot above the cloud bank! But um ah that stove is this going to become Primal Soft Camping? 🤣
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thank you for all the videos.
Thank you for the old school camp
Out . Awesome.👏👏👏

I love tent camping but it does kinda suck when it's windy.
Beautiful photography! And yes rather have cold than wet fog.
It warms my heart with nostalgia to see that ol ford back for some videos
Loved the variety of weather you encountered. Very enjoyable video.
It's so true, I'd much rather be in a dry cold than a wet slightly less cold.
The tent is quite comfortable to use in cold weather conditions
A great adventure! Peaceful and relaxing!
the moody misty atmosphere looked *amazing* -- nice shots over the cloud cover :)
Thanks Andy
Great video as always
