@@misterstacy Well true I like the 4 to 5 month later videos and my favorite is the pocketnow after the buzz videos.
Not to mention those who almost sound like a 10 minute commercial (most likely due to said rushing off content). When I look up content from independent content creators, I don't want to hear about all the great features. I also want to hear about the annoyances, drawbacks, etc so I can make an informed decision about what phone to use for the next two years.

Galaxy A50 has pretty long simcard-tray (2xSIM + 1xSD).
ASUS getting attention they deserve
When most manufacturers just play safe copying Apple by using Notch,
Zenfone stand as beacon to be complete screen
A complete screen with a massive chin at the bottom
I mean, OnePlus started that trend, but it's cool to see Asus doing the same.
They did copy AND mock apple with their Zenfone 5z. I think it was some what along the lines of,"x% smaller notch than the Fruit Phone X"
Apple didn't invent the notch... And there is a lot of alternative, as Samsung S10 and Xiaomi Mi 9/9t/Mix 3

Some apps are lagging, but what can you ask from an Android 4? Overall, my baby is still kickin' although it has more than 3 years
I am still using ZenFone 2 Laser.
I have dropped it several times, even on concrete. It's still working and screen hasn't shattered even without case or screen protectors (The gorilla glass does indeed work).
Thanks to custom Roms. I can use Android Pie on this. And day to day tasks are smooth.
Only thing that failed is the battery(I had to replace it).

i loved my Zenfone 2 also,ui to me on the Zen2 was much better after deleting bloat,had it for almost 4 years,just ordered this Zenfone 6 today,would be still using it but had a bad drop and have had to use a borrowed Iphone last monthish till re-stock was back in on the official site,+ i doubt ill toss out my wired headphones ranging $35-800 for wireless plugs cause my phone cant connect via BT(current thinking on the Zenfone 7)plus i have an early 2k car so no bt ,aux in is via 3.5mm but that expandable 2 tb of mem ummm

I've had mine for about a week and love it! The display is smooth and crisp. The phone has plenty of power. The battery life is surreal. And the flip camera is actually very practical. I love taking panoramic shots now because the camera rotates out and does all the work for you.
The normal black one also has a blue accent around the power button, i too have a zenfone 6 and it's awesome would recommend
The availability for this phone in eu is almost non existent, I barely got mine. But everything else is great.
Meanwhile in Asia, it's still available all the time.

I'm watching this review on my ZenFone 6. Also yes, all listed points are true. I had to buy Bluetooth headset to mitigate the speaker problem (it got better after few updates, though)

Still up and running perfect after many months daily use. Just love this Asus Taiwan phone. But sadly i will not buy anymore electronical products if they are put together in Chinas mainland.
Thanks for reminding me about this phone. Keep in mind, it doesn't have any water resistance. If the Zenfone 7 adds an IP rating, and a 90Hz display. I won't even need to consider at Oneplus or Pixel anymore.
Yes but it can be forgiven for having the flip camera. Kind of hard to have water resistance in that area.

3.5mm jack. Yes! Rear mounted fingerprint scanner, yes! My Samsung under screen finger sensor doesn't work half the time.

Thanks for the update. still not in launch in the Philippines, maybe because of its hard replacement for hardware if ever it gets broken?. But still got my eyes on it. Can you still not use 2 cameras in video mode?
It is a complete phone! it got all I like in a phone except for the, the headphone jack, front firing speakers, almost full display, 2 dual sims. I love it.
I just still am skeptic with the flip up camera. If they could have stayed a dual or triple camera case together but stayed at the back, then lowerd the screen a little, to put the lower bezzel on top and put a camera setup on the sides like a pixel 4. Then there would'nt be any motorized cam. All in all. That would be the best! ^_^

I LOVE this phone!
So tempted to get one but really want the next revision to have a built in finger print sensor behind the display and a 90Hz display.

The under screen fingerprint sensors might take space away that they could use for other things though. Not to mention they are less secure than a normal capacitive sensor
I only decided to add those 2 changes since that would hopefully give them the ability to keep prices reasonable.
@@KyleRectify yeah I get what you mean. I'm not a big fan of in display fingerprint readers but a high refresh rate display would be amazing. Having used a 7t I can tell you it makes a HUGE difference

Why is the flip up camera so overly complicated? All they needed to do was use a spring to make it flip up, then you just push it back down
Man Ive been using an iPhone 5 SE for years now (from when Apple wasn't evil) and I've been hoping for a notchless, headphone jacked good battery life large Android phone to turn to in the future when this one stops working for me. I didn't care what it would take to get a notchless phone even if it meant no selfie camera, but I wasn't expecting a motorised flip camera to work so smoothly! I didn't think there would be anything like this on the market, but now I know there is and its not $1,000, in fact its half of that! Great review, thanks for putting in the time to really understand the nuances of such a great phone.

How about an update on when we'll see the next Google Pixel 4a and 4a XL. That's the phone I'm really curious to see come to market.
there is a unique feature of this phone that other phones lack. the flip camera fuctions as a camera stand. so that you are able to take timed shots easily without assistance from somebody else. the only thing i personally dislike about this phone is the huge size. difficult for one handed usage.

I have been using this phone since it was launched. I absolutely love it ! The battery, the camera, and the screen ( It still is excellent even though it is a LCD panel ) its just perfect. Asus have created a banger with this one.

For the price ($500 usd) I'd honestly take the ZTE Axon 10 for the premium features while having a more practical form factor
I guess phones at this price range would have better after market support especially on updates because the ZenFone Max line has the most disappointing updates. The ZenFone Max Plus M1 has microSD problems on oreo and pie updates which have never been resolved ever since.
why did you not use a case with the phone?

I would love to know how durable in a drop test this Zenfone 6 is. I have been using an Asus Zenfone 5 Max for two years now and I am quite happy with it. I am still hoping that the next Asus ROG phone would support wireless charging so that I could ask mom to buy me one.
Hi Guys I am using Asus 6z(6gb & 64gb) from past 2 month
1. Call volume is really not good (hope asus fix it with updates soon)
2. Battery life is awesome
3. I am loving the flip camera
4. Value for money & If any1 planning to buy it go for it you will not regret!!!

Asus has really killed it this generation. Definitely buying. It is the most complete smartphone in its niche. And is also quite innovative with that flip camera. Its exactly what i've wanted forever, high quality selfie camera.

The best thing about it is probably battery life and performance (coming from only mid range smartphones).I'm a power user and the phone lasts about 1and1/4 day on heavy use, and easily 2 days on medium-light usage. Screen is decent, along with the camera, although I already managed to crack a bit of the glass on the back.
pretty much the only complaint I have is that sometimes after a few jerks or it bouncing around in my pocket, the camera module gets loose and the vibrations suck after that, thankfully there's an in built camera retraction button to retract the camera after it's gotten loose. That and the screen being too curved round the corners, making it cut stuff off more than usual are my only gripes.
Overall, I'd buy it again (unless I had enough money to spring for the rog phone 2 bc it's priced damn well here in India)
Where did you guys find the prices for this phone that you have mentioned in the video? All I could find was Staples and they sell it for CDN$799 for the 6GB/64GB version.
