It's huge (159.1 x 75.4 x 9.2 mm). With this size the battery isn't that impressive.
Moreover people who buy this kind of phones should invest in notebooks, not phones. Mindless scrolling thru social media doesn't require uncomfortably big phone.

The things that I really consider when choosing a phone: Battery capacity, RAM, internal memory + expandable, sound quality, earphone jack, price. Apparently, this one got that all covered. I'm not much of a photography enthusiast but that cam looks really cool.❤️

I was a previous user of an asus zenfone 2 and a asus memo pad tablet, I can tell you the batteries last a lot and the sound quality of both the audio jack output and the internal speakers is superb. I imagine this phone sounds even better.

The only reason I'm considering a new phone is because that battery and internal is really attractive to me.

For those that look, of course. The term "flagship killer" is so loose because where Asus will inevitably lose out is on the marketing side.
In Asia, Asus handsets are widely sold and recognised, whereas in the US and UK, they have little to no presence.
OnePlus and Huawei have only really started to be sold in stores (and marketed) here in the UK in the last 2-3 years, so ASUS won't come in and be a "flagship killer" as OnePlus hasn't become because of their lack of marketing to a wider audience.
Whilst Lew did mention the display being an IPS, it's not even about side by side comparison. In direct sunlight, AMOLED/OLED panels are noticeably better and the one thing you look at every day is critically important, so an IPS panel really lets this phone down sadly.
And near stock android.
I wouldn't be so impressed.
I owned the Zenfone 2 Laser back in 2015 I think at it had the worst soft I have ever seen on mobile,it has problems even getting calls(this was the worst one,cause if someone called me sometime I would get a message after 1 hour saying that I missed a call) and the worst part is that I bought 2 both of them with the same problems

Asus has a winner here. $499 for SD855, 8gb RAM, 256gb ROM, dual sim and SD slot, 5,000mAH battery and excellent camera pair for selfie/regular shoots is a steal especially with a stock android-ish UI. Asus just has to make this accessible globally and be ready to keep up with demands.
The 499 version will have 6gb of ram and 64gb storage

LED notification light is underappreciated feature in phones these days. The fact that you have headphone jack, LED notification light, no notch, 5000mAh battery, clean software, SD 855 makes it the best suited 2019. phone for my needs.
Also, I don't think LCD is a bad side of this phone, because LCD doesn't have burn-in issues, is much cheaper to replace and makes the whole phone much cheaper.

I think this phone is perfect for me. Not really a camera enthusiast but the uniqueness of the flipping camera is enough to convince. This is more affordable than Note 10 and iPhone11. Never a fan of Huawei and OnePlus is very rare to find so yeah, Zenfone 6 is perfect for me.
