I can’t even imagine finding chicken for $.99/# right now! It would be so great!! I would indeed buy 100# easily!
What a gift you two are to so many! Thank you for inspiring us to all do better! 💗🥰😘

My hubs and I were super excited for the price you got on the chicken breast, thinking we would make that drive for it if we were you. Then on Tuesday we found that a local Hispanic grocery store was selling their chicken breast for $0.99! Praise God we had the money and the room so we have 160 lbs in our freezer and getting ready to be canned and froze! We are sharing some with our parents as well. Way better than the almost $3/lb price at Sam's and Aldi here in Wichita, Ks. Our ugly chicken stockpile needed replenishing and thank God we can take care of it now. ❤

Hi Leisa, Thanks to you I've been canning for about a year now. My wife was initially resistant to the whole Idea of canning. But over the past 12 months she has appreciated the versatility of meal prep along with the HUGH time saved with the end result. She has done a 360 degree turn around and enjoys the role of a Sharp Bargain Hunter, all the while knowing that Canning is the route to Go! Tomorrow 20 lbs of Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breast ($1.29/lb) will be processed for our convenience and security that if a SHTF situation should occur we will be taken care of. Love the versatility of Ugly Chicken! Thanks for the postings and valuable teaching! Oh one thing before I leave, correction to the first sentence.... "We've been canning for about a year". Stack it to the rafters babe....

Hi Leisa, I'm so happy that I found you because you sound like somebody who I could easily get along with. I'm impressed with the quantity that you're canning. I just finished watching your video on canning meatballs in spaghetti sauce and beef broth. I told my husband that I'm going to can meatballs. Maybe not that quantity, but I'll be saving that for January and February. It helps to heat the house too. In my big Presto pressure canner I can get 10 regular mouth jars on the bottom and 10 on the top. I get less in when I put wide mouth jars in the pressure canner. I just canned 2p pints of beef. I'm going to be up really late tonight peeling apples and making applesauce.

Phil rocking the colorful cap!!! I love to can out of the freezer in winter! Helps to keep the house warm. EDIT: My daughter is gifting me one of those knives, they are awesome! (She let me try hers and it is like cutting through warm butter.)

I did your recipe for ugly chicken, I put the raw chicken thighs in jars filled them up with chicken broth, wad wonderful. I open a jar made chicken enchiladas, opened another made chicken salad, even made soup with it. Do not throw away the broth use it for other things, I filled it half way with broth and nothing siphoned. Open a jar and eat its wonderful. Gave some to my daughter in law and my sister they loved it.

Last weekend I was excited to find boneless, skinless chicken breasts and thighs at Costco for 1.99/lb. It’s usually 3.49/lb so I picked up over 50 lbs to can up.
