I canned my meat with potatoes, carrots and onions as well as the meat only. Our favorite is the stew and 2nd with noodles over mashed potatoes. Any leftovers goes to hot beef sandwiches with mash potatoes and gravy! Loved to can, thank you for all your great videos. One more thing I forgot to mention is for juice over the meat to can I use beef broth, yummy!
i know I'm six months late, but that stew sounds yummy. Did you put the potatoes and other things in same jar as the meat?
I've been canning meat for only 3 years, now. I learned it here on RUclips. Thank goodness! Where has it been all my life? It's so awesome and it makes a quick, healthy meal so much easier. Thanks for doing Canuary. I cannot believe there's a company out there still willing to give many of us the opportunity to try their products free! It's very nice.

Can you help me please?? I just got the weighted regulator but I keep finding info that contradicts itself. I live at 1200ft and the paper that came with the regulator says do 10lbs but the USDA page says 15lbs. Do you know which on it is??

I just received mine of Friday. Can’t wait use they!!
@@SuttonsDaze thank you!
Wow! This is awesome that Forjars are doing this giveaway. It's been hard to find lids. Kuddo for Forjars lids. I checked out their websight and very excited that I can order me some lids. Thank you for sharing them to us. Question on canning beef. Have you ever canned brisket? I have one in my freezer and contemplating on canning it. Thanks for sharing.
love your canned roast. I am an 82 yr old that loves to watch your videos about canning especially. Love to can meats of all times and you always add to my things to can. Thank you, thank you. also had never heard of the lids until you mentioned them. Great to know about them.
I received my 1st pressure canner for my birthday this weekend. I CANNED RAW CHICKEN FOR THE FIRST TIME! First time pressure canning anything. Came out perfect. Thanks for the lessons!
That’s what we call ‘Ugly chicken’.
Ugly chicken is so easy and yummy to use.
ForJars knows how to touch a canner’s heart! I already feel like a winner with all the great recipes in Canuary. Thanks for hosting, Leisa!
Dont they? Hahaha
Great ideas
I been looking for a way to can beef roast. i feel confident enough to start on roast. I did ground chuck today. Love how you explain everything. I have enjoyed getting back into canning again. Thank you
Thank you for choosing us, Audrey!
Your group of canners and homesteaders gave me the courage to pressure can. I am now 1 year in and addicted. Thank You Thank You all for showing the good bad and the ugly. Ugly Chicken that is ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I canned with my mom and grandma when I was young, but working more than full time, having two kiddos (one special needs) didn't leave me with time or energy to can for way too many years. My kids are getting older and I have more help now, so I am excited to get back to preserving our food by canning. Such a perfect time with it being Canuary! Thanks for hosting such a great event!
Thank you, Forjars!! Thank you, Leisa, for testing them out for us! I have a feeling that they might end up a major player in the canning world ;-)
Just started canning a couple months ago but very addicted! We have over 400 jars done and I have been using my goods on nights I am short of energy and time but we had used canned roasts this last week with beef stew and was so good! I have a family of 6 (my 4 boys and 3 are teens!) And I also feed my parents. I also love doing shredded BBQ beef sandwiches too which is also a family pleaser!
Having meat at the ready like this is my new goal. I have never pressure canned. I have been learning alot over the last 3-5 years. Gardening, preserving, cooking from scratch, becoming more self reliant... ECT. So I am so happy to have found this collaboration of all these awesome people. There's so much knowledge on here. So blessed.
Michigan Marcia here. Thank you so much to all you Canuary instructors. I am learning so much.
Thanks Leisa, your jars of beef look amazing! I have ordered and used lids from ForJars and am very impressed. The lids are fairly priced, arrived much faster than I expected, and so far I have not had a lid fail... I am also impressed with their family oriented advertising on their website, very refreshing. Thanks for turning me on to ForJars!
Thanks to forJars for being so generous to their community/customers!
So many homesteaders doing their part in canary, thanks girls for sharing your wisdom!
I am just starting to preserve food and canning. It has been so great seeing all these videos. Thank you for such a giveaway and the oppurtinity to win. That would be amazing! By the way, waiting until I was 54 to get excited about this. ❤
I'm with Phil, I love a roast beef sandwich! We like taking jars of beef camping for an easy meal. How awesome of Forjars for their generosity to the canning world. I ordered some lids at the beginning of the month and they are working out well.
I love to use mine as French Dip sandwich, a soup and stew starter, hot roast beef open face sandwiches (or over mashed potatoes) and my family loves the pot pie from it!
FORJARS sounds like they really want the business without price gouging, refreshing to say the least. I am putting my trust in you when you say this round roast will be as good as you claim. Thank you.
Always great to learn about new things, especially canning items. Thank you ForJars and Leisa for everything you do ...I learn something every video. My husband and I are on our fifth day of having COVID... If you have a minute free in your busy lives we would greatly appreciate a prayer.. Thank you
Canuary has really motivated me to preserve food more often during the cold months. I’ve been canning green beans & carrots that were on special and having a blast!
You are such a great teacher. I’ve been really afraid to can meat but I’m definitely going to try it now that I’ve watched your video. I also checked out the website for the lids and their prices are fantastic. Thanks for another wonderful video.
You got this!
I wish my mom and grandma were here to see me canning! 🙂 Thank you for putting so many great videos in One place.
I give your name to so many people at work! We live in the 'country' and I am a teacher after many years at home with the kids. Most of the people I work with live in rural or farm areas so we share a lot of recipes. I tell everyone to start with you when they are new! Thanks so much for teaching me so many new ways and recipes!
Awe! Thank you so much!
I love Canuary and I love how you teach. I am hoping that you all do another casserole month I loved that one too. Good luck everyone on the drawing I never win but I am always so happy for the person who does
I love casseroles too!!!
I am the same way, have no luck winning anything. But I am so happy to see all the winners.
I am loving Canuary! There are so many great channels that I have been introduced to already and a great list of "must can" recipes! Thank you for gathering this great group together and challenging me to expand my canning horizons!
I agree with you. My canning pot just delivered by fedx a few mins ago
What a satisfying feeling to have all those jars of beef to put away. As prices rise and shortages happen, it's great insurance for food security.
At 68 years old I'm just now getting into pressure canning. My first attempt was this week, canning 24 qts of homemade Brunswick Stew! It was a learning endeavor and had to "re-can" 2 batches due to my error. But all is well now! Really enjoy your videos! This video was very timely as a local grocer has top round for $3.99 @ lb this week. Will be great for cube steak and canning as well.
Im 65 and started pressure canning too since late summer .
I did stew a couple of times, regretted not just doing the beef alone, so I"m so stoked to do the beef alone and not have mushy vegetables and more flexibility with what I can use the beef for.
Wow, ForJars is really pulling out all the stops! That's terrific support for the canning community. I'm still waiting for roasts n such to go on sale around here but have a bunch of projects lined up in my head. These videos are so inspiring! 😸💖
Thank you for jars!
agreed on all 3 points 🥰
Me too
Awesome how canning turns tougher cuts of meat into tender deliciousness. ❣️
I’m 62 and just got my first pressure canner so I’m devouring all these wonderful ideas
My husband and I’m new to canning this series has given us so much needed information. Thank you so much for organizing this series.
Been canning meats for 50+ years and makes me so happy to see all the new canners! Beef and homemade noodles is my husbands favorite meal from our canned beef! Thanks for the info on lids, just ordered both sizes!
I ordered lids while listening to the initial Canuary pork butt vid. They arrived quickly and the lids sealed well.
How long is the meat good for?
I am really enjoying Canuary and all the meats that are being canned. What I like is that no one is assuming we know how to do it. I have only canned chicken and ground beef. My shopping today was 15 lbs of beef, pork and more chicken. I am so excited. Thank you all for your great videos. I am also doing good building up my pantry for a years stock. Never knew how to begin until I watched Leisa from Sutton Daze. A big thank you for that.
Great canning videos. Glad there are so many men and women doing this. We do become a family
I’ve never canned meat before but I’m so looking forward to trying it. I’m really enjoying the assorted videos from all the participants. Thank you for setting this up.
I have never canned before, and am learning so much from these Canuary videos! I am looking forward to getting my garden planted at our new home, and being able to harvest and preserve our food. You are an awesome teacher!
With the winter weather here we could lose power. SO the jars of food stay safe. Not what's in my 2 freezers. I can cook on the top of my wood stove. Thanks Leisa for setting up the Canuary videos. We have to drive nearly 50 miles to town to get groceries. SO I like to keep jars stocked full. WOW thanks to ForJars lids..
I absolutely love Canuary. My favorite time of the year, especially since i don't care for the holidays. Canuary gives me something to look forward to every year.
The last time I canned beef roast, I partially cooked it first. Your way is much easier! Thanks for all you are doing for Canuary. Forjars is extremely generous!
That meat was so lean and beautiful! Thank you for all that you do for us!
I am an absolute fan of Canuary. This is my first year to watch and I'm loving it! I have learned some very interesting and helpful things!
My 1st year, too. Just started canning around September. Had my canned for 9 months and stared at it... Afraid.
This is awesome. This would save me so much freezer space and save so much time with everything I have going on to be able to just pull out the jars to have the meat ready to go! With a trucker husband and 3 children this would be a lifesaver. Forjars is amaizing to offer to do givaways with everything for Canuary. This is all just a wonderful month.
Wow, what a deal with Four Jars!! That's incredible! I am in California with 7 quarts of chicken soup processing. That adds to my 7 quarts I did yesterday. I'm learning so much from you with your incredible videos. My sister in Washington called while I was filling my jars. I shared your video with her. We are both excited! I got a beef tri-tip roast on sale earlier today. I'm going to processit tomorrow. Your video couldn't have come at a better time! Thank you so much!
Thanks for putting canuary together Leisa! This is my first time and when this month is over I’m going to go back and watch your previous years. Love all the recipes!!!
I've been so nervous to try pressure canning, but you explain everything so well I feel I could do this no problem!! Thanks for video!!!
Beef and noodles would probably be my favorite way to use the beef. Beef and Potatoes would be my husbands. While I appreciate the many meals in a jar ideas we've been seeing, just the meat are the most exciting and inspiring for me.
I never canned before until I started watching you a few years ago I have learned so much and I would like to thank you for all the help you have given me. My shelf are full of good stuff from ugly chicken to beans Thanks again.
Leisa, thank you for the great tutorial! You put so much time and effort in helping us. I’ve learned so much! Thanks for hosting Canuary too!

This series has been amazing. !
That looks awesome. I haven’t canned roast beef yet. I’m still a newbie canner.
I love roast beef and gravy over pasta.
Glad to have a good alternative to the ball lids which have become so difficult to find.
Those jars are beautiful. I love canning. I’m getting ready to put my order in at Forjars. Thank you for more inspiring videos.❤
Thank you for such a kind words, Kasey! We are sure that you will like our lids!
Love all the videos!
So excited to have the first meeting of the year of our canning club tomorrow. We will definitely be watching the canuary videos! I am very interested in the ForJars lids also. Hopefully it'll be easier to source reasonably-priced lids this year.
A canning club? Can you tell me more please.
I’ve never heard of Forjars canning lids! Great to know. And -- the roast beef will also be next on my list for canning. These are also on sale this week at our local supermarket! Thanks for the canning tip! ❤️

I pack my roast beef in with the carrots and potatoes in quart jars because I value ready meals! Very generous of Forjars to support your Kanuary mission
