- The Mig-21. Capable of speeds in excess of Mach 2 it was an extremely efficient interceptor used by over 60 countries worldwide. Called the Silver Swallow in Russia, the Pencil in Poland and the Fishbed anywhere west of the Berlin Wall. Could have been worse, you should see what NATO called the Mig-15...

Woo. Almost made me want to start grinding jets after 6 years.
...almost.
It will take only 6 years to grind for average player playing 2-3 h daily.
@@Dysputant I grinded the F4 in 9 days. Normal playing, with gud games with sabres etc
I mean that I've played for 6 years and mostly never touched jets. I messed with the 262 and 163 and then I just laughed and went back to enjoying props.
Don’t. These jets made the power creep even worse!

o7 jingles, pleasure sending that replay to you
Nice flight skills! Good job, well played!
Very well done! Phly and the MIG-21 Gang would be proud
SpaceKangy.dll Sweet flying! Certainly know how to handle that tin can haha.
Wouldn't mind you sending more of these in to Jingles!
Ah the master himself. An absolute pleasure to watch your replay commentated by Jingles, do send more in if their anywhere near as spectacular as this one.
Have you learned from the Yugoslavijan dooks how to fly mig 21 they fly thet way
I was the guy in the G.91R/4 (Wumbology) and Stirling in the F-100 was my friend and squadmate. It's funny that you mentioned the "Sabre Dance" because when I saw the roll axis movements of his aircraft during the fight I laughed and genuinely asked if he entered a Sabre Dance :D
Thanks for covering the replay!
Lol, I didn't want to take any chances of you locking on while i was running away
A pleasant surprise being in a jingles video, I almost didn't even notice when I watched it this morning.
I appreciate how much Jingles knows about everything he covers. As uncommon as his War Thunder videos are these days (comparing to back in 2013), they are usually fun to watch. But I think I can say the same about all the videos on other more obscure titles Jingles plays, like those Elite Dangerous and Jurassic World videos from the past. (I'm actually a mostly WOWS player these days...)
I agree in his War Thunder videos he's much more likely to go over the history of said machine. Which is one of my favorite parts of his channel.
Jingles always has been fond of his research on military vehicles lol
@@TIannone One of the reasons I follow him and hope that many more do too.
RageAndTrolls with CSSBT does he do WOWS Legends replays?
@@owenoliver1561 nah he doesnt sadly, atleast not yet, maybe in the future if someone can send him good ones
As someone who never played War Thunder this video amuses me in 3 ways:
>Jingles knowing the aircraft in depth
>The player knowing the aircraft like it's an extension of his hands
>And the super realistic display of mechanics War Thunder implemented to bring character to their aircrafts
Trust me this is a rare exception. Some of the in game flight models are jokes

@@ltcuddles685 nah, most are messed up in some way, a few massively. that comes from flying almost every single plane in that game to spaded over 5000+ hours....unfortunately....
@@minimurder2832 And how many hours do you have flying almost every single featured aircraft, in real life, with which you can compare how "messed up" the flight modelling is in War Thunder?
I'm just asking because recently there's been a very apparent rise in the number of self proclaimed aircraft master gurus among us in the online aviation gaming comunity, who have finally decided to reveal their identity and are currently dishing out exhortations across the internet. I just want to make sure we can at least trust that what you are saying is true and not just something you imagine is true every time you log into your War Thunder account in the hopes of satisfying your aerial battle fantasies.
I'm glad the War Thunder videos are becoming a bit more regular. Always interesting to watch.
Symion They are, always love the stories Jingles has to tell when he does them.
way better than WoT vids where the guy only uses premium ammo.
Regular? you mean the that it isn't the year 2030?
@@Randallator966 nope. The gig is up. Jingles himself said that he was going to try and do more regular War Thunder videos again.
@@setesh1294 really, which year was it that he decided that? (honestly can't remember which video, been too busy working triple shifts in the salt mines)
Times like this are when you really wish Gaijin had implemented some way to reward people for maneuver kills such as the one on that F-100. It happens pretty damn often, either making the person crash or setting them up to be an easy shot for an ally.
Atleast you get awarded the kill if you hit him once before he goes down, issue is hitting him while you dance him into the treetops
Warthunder has added a mechanic assigning crashes to the nearest enemy plane 1 or 2 patches back...
@@NerdName1 This adds the peculiarity of crashing while landing and having an enemy across the map be credited with the kill.
Not straight manouver kills, only if you leave the aircraft voluntarily? (i.e. J-out)
If they implement it, make it have a range. No one is maneuver killing someone from across the map. Something like 2-5KM range on kill credit should be sufficient.
Slight spoiler:
Maneuver kills are best kills. :)
*Manoeuvre
How does the saying go, never interrupt the enemy when they`re making a mistake. :)

@@marvgaming4132 Yeah but that is a problem in all air combat games or flight sims.........had that with a "rata" aka I-16 in a 109 E-7 over Smolensk in the old IL-2 1946 recently, he flew into the ground trying to get me off his tail.
....that and there was this 110 trying to kill him as well.
Sucks but they are still fun. ;)
i found a video of the "Sabre Dance" effect Jingles mentioned and played it over his voice, and he said it exactly as it played out, and it was eerily accurate and chilling to see it unfold
that was probably some of the more beautiful and skilled maneuvering I've seen people pull in a mig. Hats off to you, Kangy
Last time I was this early, the Jingles breeding program was still active

no at least 2030 xD
Jingles restarted the War Thunder series in 2016. As we all know, he releases those videos annually. Therefore, based on him having released 22 videos since that restart, it is now 2037 ("Ascender" in 2016 plus 21 videos since).
Edit: I initially thought it was sad to work that out, but I just posted it in the comments section of a video of a bald bloke with a cat telling us geeky facts about something in a computer game...so anyone reading this comment has no right to judge me ☺

I'm mostly interested in warships and follow Jingles for his world of warships videos, but I have to say, these warthunder realistic air battles between jet aircraft look very difficult and hard to master. Looks nice to fly so fast in those jet aircraft =D
He does too much World of Warships. He built his audience on World of Tanks and then abandoned it. I rarely watch him now.
@@davidstephens4261 I do watch his world of tanks videos.
After the thousand of hours of grind to get there, you can only appreciate the dedication :-) That's the only reason I stopped playing this otherwise good game. Some planes are so atrocious stock that it just looks like you're hitting your head against a wall for 1000 battles in the hope to get something better. This get really old, really fast :-)
@@Bourinos02 It's an addiction you see, even if the game is trash I still want to keep playing lmao
@@davidstephens4261 Well you see: WOWS is a slightly newer game than WOT..
Also: Jingles has his past from the Royal Navy. What did you expect?
Love your War Thunder/History lesson videos!
That was a cool battle, reminds me when I flew my Spitfire MkIX against a 109 on the Italian map, believe it was the Sicily one.
A battle that lasted quite some time, all enemies but him was dead and so was the same on my team.
I was taught to master your dogfights to make the dogfight yours. Even if you don't have the superiority aircraft, or in my case, damaged.
Whilst he tried to keep his aircraft closer to his base, I knew what he was trying to do, didn't fell for it. At about the edge of where his Airfields AA guns could shoot, thats where I lingered around. Flying in figure-eights to draw him to me, each loop I'd climb a little, just enough to be above him. Whilst he tried to do both, attacking runs on me and as well tried to make me follow. I just simply didn't. Forced him to come to me, out of his comfort zone knowing he wasn't able to land because of me zooming around.
This back-and-forth style went on for some time till he made an estimation error, judged the tight turns a Spitfire could make. And with a bit of luck I managed to shoot his fuel tank on fire as well as a pilot kill.
I really wish I had saved the replay back then, because It surely was a tense one. As well as I wanted to congratulate him for his skills. He certainly wasn't a bad pilot at all.
Just like Jingles shows here in this video, mastery of your aircraft is important. Knowing it inside out will help you push its boundaries. On top of that, forcing the battle to your hand, is how you make the chances of winning your dogfight only greater.
Even better if you have a wingman with the same skillset that knows his or her aircraft to its limits.
For anyone reading this, hope this motivates you to not be scared of your opponents aircraft, if you know yours, you'll be able to come far.
Blue skies!
Two War Thunder videos in a year? Overlord sir, you're spoiling us!
holy crap, that pilot is amazing, also gives me terrors of hes going to crash, but ... doesnt ... damn that was a good vid
The best part of the War Thunder videos are the history lesson that accompanies them. Yes the game footage is fun to watch, (I didn't enjoy playing the game that much myself) but Mr. Jingles attention to detail when explaining what makes the particular plane what is the driving force to why I look forward to these videos. Thanks for sharing them!
Fascinating. No derp shots or kill streaks but instead a very interesting battle of maneuvering and knowing your machine's capabilities. The history and technical aspects (and humor!) are exactly what got me hooked on your WOW/WOT videos in the first place. More of this please!
Y'all got any more of them War Thunder content? I could watch this all day
You have to wait another year for that.
This was a great video! I prefer these kinds of videos the most, where you talk about the characteristics of planes and seeing them in action. It's really interesting seeing the pilots use the fighters peculiarities to their advantage or disadvantage in a dog fight!
At way too many points in this video, this guy was closer to the ground than my CAR is.
Massively enjoyable to watch Jingles. That was a masterful display of the use of the delta wing and your explanation was exceptional. Thank you, sir.
Love the educational narration of the aircraft. I hope more war thunder videos cover a wide variety. Thanks jingles!
Ohhh man, Jingles getting in on the MiG-21 action, now how long before an F4 battle.....
I heard he tried to do an alternate F4 battle...but his programs kept closing.
@@Najolve Very good
Great video, not the usual battle whatsoever but an amazing display of skill. I don't play warthunder but I've seen enough video and heard enough from jingles to appreciate how good that guy was at flying his aircraft. Also loved the connection to the last warthunder video. Was nice to be on the other end of the cockpit and see someone fighting the F-100
Thanks - more video's like this please the tactics of the dogfight, explained through your talent for making both historically and interesting video's is just the tonic I need after a punishing day at work :)

I really liked this video!! Thank you Jingles!! It was very enjoyable and educational
As always, Jingles you are the top presenter of any kind of video. This time you were correct that this MIG-21 pilot is exceptionally good. He nearly crushed my nerves with his "careless" flight. Only thanks to the knowledge that Jingles would never show crap video unless it was intended.
Yes, this pilot demonstrated flying skills well above good pilots level, it was exceptionally good. Thanks, Jingles for top entertainment, public demands you to double the number of videos you offer to us Jingles addicts.
more WT video is always nice. It doesn't have to have killstreaks or funny moment. Just listening to Jingle's telling stories of the vehicles is enough.
Watching skilled players duel each other in the air is more entertaining than watching one skilled player farming an enemy team. This was a good video, I hope there are more in the future.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch. Really enjoying the Jet vids, something new and gives insight into who really knows their aircraft.
Whoa!!! There were a few 8’s on the pucker scale. One big 10 as well! Great flying and thanks for the video
I enjoy your War Thunder context, keep it going. :)
Jingles, thank you for that, I did truly enjoy it! That was some simply sublime piloting.
Have not played WT for ages, but it has that intensity, you Will remenber your highlits. Be it the first "Terror of the Sky" achievement in Arcade. Your first Jet kill in an F2-A, your first carrier landing,(or all the crashes it took you to get there) a one shot bomber kill, or surviving 3 vs one "duels".
That was some great piece of flying! And some very good commentary about planes involved. Thanks Jingles, keep it up!
Please more of this. THIS IS AWESOME
More WT!! At first I thought you were going to talk about how much better the Mig-19PT is to the Mig-21. Love the history, love the tactical analysis. MORE!!
Jingles posting 2 War Thunder videos in one month? What madness is this?!
@11:30
“Nothing to worry about, I’m a part-time arborist. Just checking this year’s growth. All fine here? Good. Now, off to make an F100 absolutely ruin some poor homeowner’s day.”
I laughed way too hard when that f-100 crashed into that house
The Clue was in "Realistic" as these things do happen like this in real life! Great Video Mighty Overlord seeya in the Saltmines!
I always enjoy a Jingles commentary especially history related, with all these history-based channels being demonetized I wish I had the money to give to all their patreons.
Enjoying the Warthunder jingles, ty
Those maneuver kills threw back to the days I used to play Ace Combat. Just put a cool AC theme in the background and this is pretty much today's equivalent of that time to me.
Damn, balls of steel on that MiG driver. Great videos do not need to have someone racking up tons of kills to be entertaining and instructive. Thank you, Jingles, for sharing that - and 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 to that driver.
I’ll just be here in my PBYs flying around with turrets for days.
A War Thunder video!?
A most wonderful video on the Fishbed, Jingles.
Thank's Cmdr Jingles McJingleberry. I enjoy your WarThunder videos, even though I don't play the game.
Too many war thunder videos, cannot cope, jingles you breaking my brain
I have never played this game, yet that was a treat to watch. Don't know why the game makes the Atolls unavailable as it was part of the standard weapons load out of the aircraft. (IIRC). The Russians also nicknamed led the Mig-21 the "Balalaika." Thanks for posting that.
Nice to see war thunder making a comeback on your channel Jingles.
That flying was insane!
Would not say no to more videos like this
Two war thunder videos in less than a week? Jingles, you're spoiling us.
ahhh the good old Mig-21, favoured jetfighter of my youth, and still a very beautiful plane to this day imho
One of the games I had access to as a kid was a Cold War era flight sim/action game... I think it was called Wings over Europe. Anyway, these MiG-21s were the most common enemy type, and while I never really flew them myself (turns out F-15s have better missiles), I've always been a fan of the aircraft.
Unfortunate that the stock version in War Thunder looks to be such a stinker, but Kengy_ clearly knows how to fly a Delta like a champ.
It's crazy that you don't do more war thunder vids. The history lesson and Gameplay is fucking epic. DO MORE!
Wow! Awesome turning and burning!
That's one crazy MIG driver. Well done.
Another war thunder video ?!?! I thought we only got one a year. Very kind of you lord jingles.
As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods;
They kill us for their sport.
If this dude flies any closer to the ground he'll be solely responsible for the ensuing anxiety attack he will have given me...
But DAMN that's good flying...
Oh man how far games have come...I remember playing Chuck Yeagers air combat with Phantoms vs Fishbeds and hell let’s toss a ME-262 and a Comet in the mix give them the altitude advantage and let’s go! Check six!

There is a squirrel still gagging on a nut
As I am both living in area of the battle shown and being a P.P.L. holder .... congrats to the makers of WoWT: Except the town on take off roll, the terraine, features and lakes are remarkably well done!
Hey jingles, if you think the sound design on the jets is good you should hear what ground RB sounds like now. It's magnificent
Seriously, this is way more entertaining than a player simply dominating the enemy team to a point where you're just laughing at how stupid the enemy team is.
Uhhhh Jingles is making war thunder videos again! :DDDDD
Keep it up! you were the reason for me to start playing war thunder like six or seven years ago. Allways loved the way you were teaching me some new facts aside with interessting gameplay.
That was some pretty brilliant flying, particularly at the end. Well done to Kangy.
Dear Lord, Jingles. You're getting decades ahead of yourself with all these War Thunder videos lately. :)
The Year is now 2152, we have been graced by the Mighty Jingles with another War Thunder Video. ALL HAIL TO OUR OVERLORD JINGLES AND HIS MINION AKASUKI !!!!!!

@@milkshake1993 North Korea as well.
When NATO was here at Taszár Air Field the Commander of the Southern Theater (an italian general at the time if a recall) asked my father what was their time to scramble. Answer: less than 120 seconds. Good old general didnt believe it. So the next day there was an alarm at a random time. From pressing the alarms button untill the first pair of Mígs launched 118 seconds have passed. He was seriously impressed to say the least.
My house was 500m from military air base and I remember the sound of that afterburner, deafening. They had strict orders to never make any passes over military personel houses but whatever. They were fighter pilots afterwords. When Soviet Union fall our Polish pilots had a chance to skirmish against their new colleagues from German Air Forces. I guess both sides were very curios how their machines actually perform in simulation of real dogfight. In scenario with guns only/no aa missiles they literally blast F-4 Phantoms out of the sky. It was very capable machine in the right hands.
2 wt videos within a half year? Uncle jingles out here WILDIN
This wasn't the usual war thunder kill video... it was a lot better! Thnx.
Btw In Cracow there is Flight Museum with nice MIGs collection, its called "MIG alley" too.
I would say it's a pleasing surprise, that Jingles has a spaded MiG-19 in his WT account. Apparently he is still playing WT quite often in his own time.
watching this mig just dance with no thrust is some of the most butt clenching stuff ive seen in a long time
That was really good, true mastery and understanding there. :D
Interesting note, the vapor cone happens 100-150 mph before the aircraft goes through the sound barrier. Personal experience and a great many airshows.
I say this is a rather boring and uneventful replay if it wasn't for the fact it is amazing and beautiful to watch. Sure we're not getting a massive kill streak or hilarious or epic moments, but watching this guy handle the Mig-21, even in this game, is really amazing. He definitely seems to know how to get the most out of its strengths and weaknesses. Very amazing.
love this kind of video. Hope to see WT ground battles again!
Massively impressed with the flying skills. I would have crashed so many times during that video. Hell I don’t think I would have been able to do the Mach speed run at 100+ metres at the beginning.
