When Harvesting A Deer - The Closer The Better

This is the way I bring deer closer. I have harvested many deer over the last 30 years and this is my technique. This to insure a clean humane harvest. Drawing the deer to a 10 yard distance for positive identification of a young doe or buck. When the proper buck to doe ration is out of balance. The young deer need to be harvested or the entire herd will suffer from starvation or disease.

Your welcome. The Marlin or Winchester 30-30 lever actions are great for this type of hunting. Young children 8 to 11 years old can get their first deer with iron sights on this setup. Thank you!

I wish everybody would go back to killing deer and harvesting wheat. I have never been able to harvest a deer without killing it first.

They were killing them here and had to stop. There was no deer left to kill in my area for over 40 years. It took game management to bring the herd back and now we can harvest up to three deer a year in my area per person.
