There are not enough words to explain or express how great of a farming channel you have created. You provide diversity, exceptional quality and above all, trueness in all you do. If youtube had a similar recognition as what Hollywood has with the Walk of Fame Stars, this channel should be the ground breaking first. Love this channel.
This channel means so much to me and so many others. Larson's make you feel like you've known them forever. I always look forward to seeing y'all's next video.
I’ve been watching since harvest ‘19 and seeing the growth of the farm and the channel is truly mind blowing, keep it up Chet, you’re doing an amazing job
Driving a payloader is every kid’s dream while they’re playing in a sandbox with their Tonka toys. I got to operate a CAT 980C over 20 years ago and boy oh boy, was that ever a hoot. Power for daaaaaayyyyssss. 💪🏼💪🏼
Your farm always has something going on. Kinda like keeping up with my house projects. Although the farm has BIG stuff going on. You keep it interesting.
I’m 55 with the arthritic hands of a 75 yo bc of a health issue. I want to garden until I can’t lift a shovel on my own! Growing my own food & flowers is my therapy. I’m guessing Grandma Larson has planted her garden & weed whacked the yard all her life. It’s very satisfying to see it done. If she’s anything like Grandpa Merlin, she’d tell ya flat out if she wanted it done for her.
I'm 75 I mow my grass, weed whack, trim my shrubs, and haul a 33-gallon garbage contained filled with yard waste all by my lonesome; use it or lose it!
You can get you some raised hot beds and plant your garden and flowers for therapy just sit and plant don’t have to have a tiller . Just uses potting soil in raised bed.
Is there a vent on the spray tanks? When liquids heat they vent off gas - on a hot sunny ay the 'air' above the liquid becomes more and more pressurized - until a tank or valve reaches its designed strength and breaches.
Hey Chet, we have a John Deere self propelled sprayer on our farm and we got told if we ever had to spray with it when the field is wet that if you move the back tires to a different distance then it’ll be less ruts just letting you know incase you do get a self propelled spraying. They are nice. Another great video you guys!!!
Another great video. Nice Flashback shot. Not sure about your “gravel”. We call that clay sand but it should pack well with a sheep foot roller. Still better than television. 🎉
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Lots of gravel to haul for the new bin site. That will be a big project for sure. The gravel pit is a ways away but you have time to haul before bin site is needed. Planters getting ready to be put away until winter maintenance time. Brody got them washed up real good for storage. Doing some more spraying on the black beans I see. I see Brody doing that. Good work Brody. About it I guess. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve
What you all gravel we would call sandy here in eastern Ky. Our gravel comes from limestone quarries then is crushed to size. From riprap to pea gravel.
That was another entertaining and educational video as usual, Chett manages to get down to the nitty gritty and disperses his wisdom to the masses about how things are done on the farm. What with Eric as the main educator, Chett does a wonderful job of informing without browbeating. OK I admit it I love these guys, they know what they are doing and what they want to be done correctly. Go team Larson. love Dougo's grin when he said "the door is gone", that had chett wondering what door where and why. Dougo just looks and smiles. That says it all....
Is there a gavel deposit on your land? (gotta-be - as the whole area was/is full of meandering rivers). Ground penetrating radar can find it - you need a good geologist to find likely spots to scan.
I know you've already hauled the gravel and got most of the ground work done but I'll give you tip. Next time you gotta stockpile gravel in a pit use your excavator, I've worked for big gravel contractor's and dug lots of holes. If you are digging out of pile or straight wall a loader is great but if you are digging down use a hoe, way more efficient
I would not hesitate to buy any equipment from Larson farms! If everyone took care of equipment like y’all do there wouldn’t be a stigma with buying used!
Farmers are amazing! So if you are a mechanic, plumber, carpenter, electrician, welder ,business manager , gambler and can do thousands of other things really well then you too can be a farmer. Or you can just start farming and will learn all the other trades out of necessity. Thank you to all who farm!
being a dump truck driver and pulling a 35' tilt deck trailer for 25 years I learned the value of a good pare of leather gloves, you should give them a try.
Your gravel pit is really interesting. Here in Davenport Iowa, which is part of the quad cities, the rock is blasted out of bedrock and then crushed into various sizes. Jer
Bring Chris back full time and make him an offer can't refuse, not only is he is a real hard-working and very knowledgeable farming young man he is also a natural before the camera!!!!!
ggod vid. I wonder what dougo said off camera - Bleep, bleep, son of a bugger bleep. keep on rocking guys - going to be a tough year. win some - lose some. you guys will pull through and have a good harvest I feel it. .
If you haven’t already, you should look into getting your spouting or other grain bin materials from premier components out of alma Michigan. Good people, good pricing!
Always liked farming. When I was growing up my dad would send from NJ to packenham Ontario to my uncle Stan’s farm. I learned so much about farming and helping out. Great summer vacation.
Chet, people that don't know anything about farming, but we don't inspect them too. They think when you get the crop in the ground were done till fall. But the dirty work starts, power washing equipment and tractors and maintenance starts then cleaning combines and carts. And cleaning grain bins out and working on them. Then back to maintenance on getting it ready for spring. never ending battle. LOL
Chet you speak the truth about your grandma. If she needed someone to do it she would ask and if you just did it she would most in likely be mad at you. I have any 81 year old mom does a lot on her own and if we do it she gets mad.
I’m not even a farmer but I watch this because I like to watch about farming but also the thousand other little things they do that I learn from. And they do a good job of showing stuff.
Hey guys, been watching your channel for quite some time. Enjoy what you do, looks like you’ve got a great crew to work with every day. That’s a big advantage when everyone’s getting along and working the same ultimate goal of achieving the best crops .thoroughly enjoy your videos just wanted to say thank you I do appreciate it, although I do get a bit envious of your excellent yields as ours here in the eastern grain belt in Australia are remotely not as good as you grow but then again our input costs are a lot lower so I guess at the end of the day, it’s all relatively the same Hope the season turns out to be one of your best. Cheers
As a grandpa, I'll say offer to help Grandma, but if she wants to do it, leave it to her. She probably enjoys doing what she can and it is good for her to stay active. Drive by and give her a thumbs up while she's doing things. She will appreciate it.
When I was growing up, my next door neighbor mowed her yard with a push mower until she was 82 years old. She would get offended if myself or her grandkids offered to mow it for her. When she was 82 her kids bought her one of those little Snapper rear engine riding mowers and she used it until she moved to town at age 88. She said her gardening and lawn mowing were her exercise program. She would let us shovel snow or run the garden tiller for her. If your grandma wants you to weed eat she will tell you.
I remember when this channel had less than 50k subs. To see its 400k+ now in such short time shows how good the channel is! Not long till we hit 1mill subs 🥳
When the video starts out with Douggo holding a maul- it’s gonna be a good one. They’re all good ones but some stand out from the others. I found the “Amy Larson-Minnesota” channel and it’s just as fun as this one just no Brody or Big Suede. Thank you for your sacrifices to bring ye into the fold
I wonder how Larson’s ever became a highly successful multi generational farm without you you telling them what they should do. The excavator was digging the footings for the new bin.

@@LarsonFarms You are most welcome. I am a black and white person and call things as I see them. This channel sets the bar.

Right there with you. Been dealing with degenerative arthritis of the spine for over 30 yrs. Gave up driving a semi after 20 yrs due to this mess.

Sitting here wearing my Dugo shirt watching my favorite farm channel, Eric and Brody add ao much to this channel. Keep rolling my friends
Another video from Larson Farm my day got a lot better I really enjoy seeing Chet Doug Brody and Erik thank you for your videos Chet
I LOVE the look on Doug's face when he is hanging up the hammer....
No matter how many times I watch you use that new spray trailer I'm just amazed Chet how well thought out you designed it
Thanks for another great video Chet.

To save the header trailer tires, use pallets and put them on their edge leaning on the tire to protect them from the sun, cheap and very effective.
With anything sitting out side with tires try some RV tire covers to pr your tires from the summer heat

Love your content, it is so authentic and we know how hard it is to farm. Keep doing what you love....
Glad to see Grandma in the video. Love seeing your Grandparents still be active.

Absolutely love these videos. Love the content
Is Sam leaving the 8RX to see of it grows tight? Would make a great sprayer tractor, just twice the money!!
@Chet, rotate the pull starter to face the front of the trailer
Those pellets are called pier pellets for use on cargo ships

Love it

Abs how to farm
Man how do you remember all the things required to run each machine and or unit, very enjoyable video and hope things dry up some for you.
Thanks for sharing

See if you can get Truck tires for the header trailer - imports or Recaps , they aren't the steer tires. 14:36
4th of July dougo got a hodie on.
Cmon man.
This video is about a month behind.
Great video hope you had a safe 4th

Hello Chet , sorry have not been on line had death in our family my mother pass away. I’ll watch the videos I’ve miss.
When you start storing equipment outside you need a new shed!
I remember when this channel had less than 50k subs. To see its 400k+ now in such short time shows how good the channel is! Not long till we hit 1mill subs 🥳
Muy lindo lo que asen me voy con ustedes a trabajar ,manejo s780 saludos argentina
Watch out Dougo's got a big grin on his face...
Just kidding but everything is going OK at the farm.
I shined on Billy Carson as soon as I saw you had uploaded 😮 Mark CEN CA
Well now that’s a first for me, a self serve rock quarry?!?
It's quite common in Minnesota. Have been doing it that way for many years myself.
That’s why they call it pit run
The reason grandma is doing the work. She wants it done right🙈
Probably not wrong!!
Loader Lust....
Deere came out with new disk openers that are supposed to last longer
I can’t believe you leave chemicals in those sprayers if I did that I would have big problems I make sure I’m empty every night
Bring the excavator you can get more gravel more faster
Hey my grandma does it to
Always remember you don't tell your Elders what they can do and what they can't do.
I am 66, body beat up. But once you stop moving, you don't move anymore.
1st, now i have to stay up to watch :) hope you had a good 4th
Chet you need some new heavy duty boots.
As an old city guy I am always impressed with your and all farmers’ knowledge of equipment, chemicals, and skills.
Thanks for what you do
Trackhoe for that gravel pit job would have been quicker for digging and loading
Put old big black on the new gravel trailer. That will make her bark
Just be careful with all those herbicides!!
You should of took the excavator down to the pit first and dug yourself a big pile it would be faster in the long run and easier on the loader
I wonder how Larson’s ever became a highly successful multi generational farm without you you telling them what they should do. The excavator was digging the footings for the new bin.
Oi 👍👍👍
