I had a panicked deer try to jump my Nissan and land his hind-end straight through the passenger side of my windshield. I had to stop after the trooper was through with the report and buy duck tape ( all they had) then tape all the shattered glass because I was still over 100 miles from home! You were very blessed.
So sorry about your truck, but, you are okay and that is the main thing that counts. All you can do is get the truck repaired and keep doing what you are doing. My Dad hit a deer once. The bones splintered and destroyed the radiator and trans cooler. Really messed up the truck. Glad your ok. The truck can be repaired. They ought to put those deer crossing signs in less populated areas so we wouldn’t hit them.
I knew there was deer in that area. I was doing 45 with my foggy light, to get a wider view. I think he was chancing a doe and running across the road? Heavy timber and brush on the highway easement. I never saw him until he was airborn....lol.

My brother has a great place to buy the parts at discount prices. I think it will take a hood, right fender, grill, radiator reserve tank and right head light housing.
You were lucky, a deer jumped as yours did, but didn't make it past. The back legs and bottom shattered the passenger side of the windshield. Game and Fish said they couldn't come, so they sent a rookie trouper who didn't hunt. Both back legs were broken and it was bleeding rapidly from its side. I had to have a couple guys put it on its stomach so I could show him where to shoot. It really made me sick. The deer's tongue was completely out and it was spooked. When I first got out of my car, I heard hounds baying after it.

Air Bag sensor is in the bumper and he jumped above the bumper. I was lucky!
