I'm able to get whole 10 lb loins for right at 17 bucks..sometimes cheeper if there's a sell. ..I hand cut chops at 3/4" and generally get about 30 or so ..the butcher will cut them up for free but I enjoy doing it myself. ..thanks for the post
Thanks for getting this shown. Been doing it for yrs. Dad did this for the cafe. Made breakfast chops and then used the roasts for bbq or burritos. My crew us not pork inclined and it makes me swell, but man I love them.
Why shop at Wal-Mart? Wal-Mart doesn't care about the customers & even less about their employees. Shop somewhere else. I go to my local butcher here out in the country. A whole pork loin is less than $20. I can get 13-15 in an half inch thick boneless chops. U can use that far as crackling if u season it then fry it up
Thanks.
A good tip 👍 TFS
Yep. Those butcher meat saws add a lot of money to meat. Great tip!
My grocery store will even cut them in pork chop size for free lucky me

Great tip, we've been doing that for a few years, it's saved us a ton! Vacuum seal them. That last roast is something I'm going to have to try!
Enjoyed the video ... been doing that for years ... all the best!
Now that was some good and you just got a new sub! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks!
Good video very much cost saving these days save a dollar when you can 👍
Yep you can save so much if you learn where the cuts come from.
I do a similar thing with a whole loin. I keep a small third section ( roast) to use in my stir fries and Lo mien recipies.

Don't throw away the pork fat and beef fat and the next time you grind meat you can throw it in.
That's the only way to do it.... Be it pork or beef !
Buy the 1/4 and put in the work !
1 store run every two months !
You could always render that fat down into lard. thats what I would do.
Your chops are a little bit thinner then the pork chops you showed
