MPC ONE PLUS ANY GOOD FOR RECORDING VOCALS?

This was my first attempt at recording vocals on the MPC One Plus. Is it any good for recording vocals? Listen and tell me. I'll make an entire track, with my Fender Jazz Bass, Gibson Les Paul, ART Voice Channel Tube Preamp, and the MPC ONE +. The mic I use is the AKG D5.

Another excellent session. I dig how effortlessly you drop these great bass lines. With the effects in place, it sounds very Psychedelic Furs inspired (President Gas maybe?). The vocals sounded good.

Me too! I put no energy into it, and wasn’t in proper position to the mic. Still gonna redo the vocal. But, only for the definition I can get from my Avantone CV12.

De-noisers have gotten SO good that you can get pretty much "pro" audio, even with a condenser mic, in a relatively noisy room.
I've had success with the Izotope RX de-noiser but I hear that Waves Clarity VX (pro) is also stellar. (Along with the Goyo/Supertone Clear.)

Yes they have! I have RX. But I rarely even use it. Especially with the gate on the Voice Channel. Technology!!!

I have spent hours watching people on RUclips using the MPC One plus (as well as other "groove boxes") and hated the way they were using them.....ie putting beats onto crap samples that were alreadypreloaded onto the MPC. Yours is the first video that is using it in a proper creative way....to make actual songs. And very interesting sounding songs. Can this work in tandem with a DAW? Love from Ireland.

Thank you for the kind words. I think it’s best used with a DAW. Typically, this is how I’ve used the MPC. I bounce the stems into Logic. Then arrange, add vocals/solo instruments, mix and finish. Love from LA 👊🏾
