What you see in this truck is pretty much what I had in my 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 which is or was how the truck was equipped normal, then came the SLE with more optional equipment, then SLT and Denali. That 2024 SLE at the price point of 76K is a good buy.
If that truck was clean and waxed, it would shine like a jewel in that color. I would definitely pick that color for a Denali Ultimate crew cab dually 4x4. Perfect truck.
It's a 3500 dually...why does it have a 36-gallon fuel tank? I think Ford does a 50, and Ram does a 48. Maybe it's an option on the GMC? It'd be a shame not to get it if it's available. The thing would have something like 700+ miles of range.
4000 thousand pounds on a 3500 single rear wheel diesel is what's expected... I'm not surprised. My friend has a RAM 3500 Laramie single rear wheel cummins and it's right there just over 4000 pounds...
I have a gas 2500 SLE in Redwood Metallic on order, with a few packages it came to 61k, as an employee I will pay a little less. this video helped with the wait.
Love the color on this truck. After the latest issue with the massive Cummins settlemt and recall, and the unknown of whether or not they will detune to address the emissions, the risk of RAM losing value, and given the issues PD Diesel has had with his 2022’s, I pulled the plug on 2022 RAM MegaCab Limited and just traded for a new, just off the truck 2024 Denali Ultimate 2500 with the 3500 rear suspension package. I am going to really miss that exhaust brake and the sheer grunt of the Cummins, but the comfort and front seat room and bigger bed was missed for sure.
The only thing I understand about the 18 inch wheels are filling the inner rears with air. Although I'm sure they're options to do it. But those are nice wheels. The 17 are very nice.
Thanks for the review, we are building a 2024 early next year.... IF you can... any way to find and review with the color "downpour metallic"? I really want to see how this looks on any sierra. Great job, love the vidz.
I would not get a GMC . I would get the Chevrolet LT with Allstar edition with the Diesel. A fairly equipped Dually. With power seats, heated seats. Power folding mirrors. That price is around $75,000 which isn't bad. I'm not a big fan of the front end but you can't beat that price anywhere.
Nice truck. I like the color. The SLE trim is kind of odd. It doesn’t give as many options available as the LT trim (no bucket seat or leather seat option) but you get LED lights standard. Pricing wise it’s a little closer to an LTZ Silverado when you start equipping it with the nicer options (power sliding window, rear storage seat, 360 cameras). I feel like unless you just don’t want leather you’d be better off going SLT. Those are the same mirrors I have. It was a $595 stand alone option to get the power folding mirrors with the auxiliary lighting. I didn’t know that or I would have got them (I thought they were included in a package I got). It’s my only regret with my Silverado.
I understand what you are saying. But It's not that odd in fact. When you're on a budget, it's nice to have a trim that allows you to have a decent truck with the basics covered. Because the work truck line is just brutally naked... I remember when I had a young family (my kids are late teens and young adults now). I did not have much money. I had looked at a WT but the windows of the rear doors would not even open LOL... so I bought a 1500 SLE, four electric windows, carpet on the floor, AC, electric mirrors so we don't need to open the windows to adjust during the winter and cool the whole cabin with the kids in there... we had what we needed... It also allows you to select one fancy option if you wanted it or two and remain way below the price of an SLT... But you are right though that if you consider more options, it's much better to go to the SLT because they don't offer all those options in the SLE trim for you to pile them up on an SLE, they just try to make as many available as possible for those consumers who will not go for the more expensive SLT... I don't know if it makes sense... They just offer 30 options knowing each individual customer will pick one or two... As soon as you want to add 5 or more, it's probably better to consider the SLT. I remember I had chosen 3 options on my SLE 1500. Nicer wheels, towing package (because of the additional tranmission cooling) and locking diff. That was back in 2007 though and the truck was a 2008. It's still alive today :-). I own a 2020 RAM2500, cummins, 4x4, Big Horn lvl-2 trim with mega cab, 6'4'' box today and I absolutely love this truck. Can't seem to get used to an automatic transmission on a truck though... even after all these years.
@@rolotomassi8536 I agree with you for the most part. I do 100% agree I’m glad they offer these other trims because ultimately the SLE will always be cheaper than an SLT unless you just get a no option SLT and a completely loaded SLE. I think the overlap mostly for me would be LTZ vs SLE. I know the styling is totally different but for a pretty nice optioned SLE you can get a base LTZ for about the same money
I have been many months trying to get an SLE 3500. Allocations are few and far between. Seems that GM only wants to build the more expensive trims. The 18" wheels have not been available on SLE dually even at the 2024 intro.
I think you got your payload numbers confused because that payload sticker showed 5386# payload. But you said according to the sticker in the glove box that it was only 4486. Doesn’t seem to jive.
@@noneya61 because the weight is mostly on the rear of the truck. Payload also is passengers and other cargo as well. So the slide in camper needs to be less than the payload to account for weight of passengers etc
GMC doesn't have an equivalent All Star edition like Chevy.....thats a great pkg for LT/SLE buyers....gets you HD surround and a rebate on the pkg.....
I had a 2000 Redwood package in a Chevy 1500 4x4. I paid $22k. Nearly 80k for this truck and the it doesn't have 20" rims, power mirrors, no wheel liner and a host of other options. I laughed when cloth seats were mentioned. This truck is practically stripped. My 2016 Ram Cummins 48k has more options than this truck including rain sensing windshield wipers. Truck reminds me of lipstick on a pig. Ram and Ford beat this on every corner coupled with GM's horrible build quality and rattling plastic dash, new owners are just asking for trouble. But then I wouldn't buy a new Ram or Ford at these prices either. The dealers can pay floor plan on these anchors until they are serious about selling.
I like the color, but the gmc and ram body style just doesn’t do it for me, the SRW’s look good but the duallys just something missing. The rounded fenders just makes it look soft, if that makes sense. Now the GMC looks a little better than ram but the Ford looks 10 times better than both. Imo
@@stevedenoyer5956 yes tough guy, the snap on cheap flimsy Ford dually fender is not an opinion but a fact. It’s also always a different color shade because it is plastic.
Ford and Ram can't beat GM except for horsepower, torque, tow rating, and build quality.
Ford has build quality? Not in this country.
Hahaha Ford and Build quality should never be said in the same sentence!!
People who praise ford never had one for sure
I agree, I love my Ford!
Ford can beat all in recalls!!!

That’s a lot more payload than my 2024 3500 Silverado LT with 4015 max payload. I know this is a dually but it’s still a jump up.

That rear end gear is actually more efficient because of the 10 spd. 👍👍
Colour is awsome
I like that color to. I went with red on my 2024 3500

We switched to gmc for fleet trucks now we’re trying to decide a new work truck it’s not working out. Tranny and electric problems but they ride nice

Why do people not like chrome? I love chrome. Also, less maintenance, rock chips, scratches, etc.
Same! Since i remeber i always prefered color march bumper but since everything is color match im kind of appreciating a good chrome grill
Beautiful

How do yall afford these?
I was thinking these trucks have low gearing due to the 10 speed tranny

Same situation here. Waiting for an allocation for a 3500HD PRO. Guess it's too low level for GMC to waste time on.

4486 is the max weight a slide in camper can be for that truck
@@Billybob50119how does that even work? that’s 900 pounds less than the maximum payload. any idea what they base that on?
@noneya4477
Maybe because most of the weight is sitting the side railing with a camper?

They are doomed the18 inch yes they have WHERE available & they are done with the 18" I believe next year.😮
Not sure about GM, I know both Ford and RAM if you have larger wheels and tires it increases your payload.

Ford looks alright from the side but damn those new front end are just so ugly
Gm trucks have the worst seat and trim level doesn't matter. Ford has the best seats and it's not close
