I’ve often thought the only value left in the American pick up truck market is the three-quarter ton gas truck. And you’re absolutely right about the diesels in the three-quarter ton trucks. It’s a waste of time due to the low payload numbers. You got a great deal especially in light of the fact that a well equipped, half ton truck would cost as much as yours did and you got so much more truck for the money.
I have the same truck but a 2023. I love it! The six speed tranny does great for us. Just pulled our 12,000 pound 5th wheel from NM to Alaska and back! Incredible trip. Best truck I've ever owned
Either you just drive home from taking delivery or someone just detailed the heck out of that truck. Absolutely spotless! I tried to find one water spot or dead bug on it but couldn’t! Excellent choice. You’ll love it.
I think you got a really good deal on the truck, You got all the right options for your lifestyle. You are a very good communicator. Thanks for the video.
I have had this exact same truck for one year. 2500 SLE gasser. I do have the standard bed. I love this truck. It does everything. I love the simplicity of the gas engine with the power of an HD.
Under seat storage, helps a ton. The Timkens replace the factory bump stocks, low low impact empty, HUGE difference in squat and handling loaded/ trailer. They look like an upside down KONG adds weight capacity also.
I went from a 2012 ram 3500 diesel with 6speed manual to a 2024 chevy 3500 with the 6.6l gas. I could not bring myself to buy a new diesel they have to many issues. This is my first gas truck i am very happy with it. I towed 18000lbs with it and was shock how well it did. Only thing i miss is having an exhaust brake. But i only tow a hand full of times a year.
diesel trucks are ruined with the dpf system and def fluid. all it does is store up the particulates and blow them into the atmosphere and waste fuel doing it. what rocket scientist designed that instead of making the engine run more efficiently?
I have a 17 F250 lariat gasser. Been wanting to move to GM for a while but, the cost was insane for me. This is really nicely optioned out. Great motor and trans combo. Looks like I’m going to have to try and work with this dealer.
I’ve had two GMC SLE model 1/2 tons and it truly is a perfect packaged truck with everything you need. I’m impressed with your build sheet. My next truck could be the 6.6 gasser and a 3/4 ton. Beautiful truck.
I want to thank you for all the value I got out of your video. I must have watched it several dozen times. LOL! I just put down a deposit and ordered this exact truck minus the 5th wheel package, chrome running boards, and the 20" wheels. BTW I love the color too!! I'm not a big chrome guy but this color complements the chrome well and doesn't make it pop as much like some of the other colors. I agree that this is a very good value with all the options mentioned, especially in this current truck market. If all goes well I will have delivery of my truck in about 3 - 4 months. Thanks again for your in-depth review!
We are wanting to do the same. What is the approximate amount of deposit the dealer required at time of order and what is the expected delivery date timeframe looking like? Thanks in advance
@@Pupcatmom my dealer required a $3,000 deposit to start the build. I ordered the truck on 1/20. I received an email update from GM that it was on the assembly line last week. If all goes well, I should have the truck at the end of this month. However I was given a window of between 3 and 6 months by the dealer.
Thank you so much for such a quick response! It’s nice to know, so we will have an idea what to expect when we go into the dealership . Hope you enjoy your truck! Sounds like you will get it much sooner than expected🤗
You got a good one for sure and speced out perfectly in my opinion. I have a 22 Chevy Custom model 2500 that I bought last year and absolutely love it!! I got it for 53500 with 9 of the best options I could find at the time. Still a big chunk of change but it's the best vehicle I've ever owned in my life! I've never owned a vehicle over a year that I can't wait to drive it everyday. lol... It pulls our 8k camper with ease. As far as gas mileage goes between the 6 and 10 speeds, they both have almost identical final drive ratios. So from the feedback on the GM forums, it's a wash for most but there are some that say the 10 speed gets a little less overall. I'm not sure why that is, more shifting perhaps? But where the 10 speed obviously shines over the 6 speed is when towing extra heavy loads. Most rave how much better it tows 12k and up as compared to the 6 speed. Either way I love my 6 speed and can't even think about parting with it. If you're a truck guy like me, I bet you fall in love with it too!! Enjoy sir!
I just recently purchased virtually the same truck as you except I opted for the Silverado instead. There was a +/- $3,500 difference between the two with the Silverado being cheaper. I ended up getting the LTZ trim and the only upgrades I have from your truck is leather seats, and wireless phone charging. I did opt for the 18” wheels though strictly because of the better ride and tire replacement cost. My sticker was $67,300. Although I do like the looks of the Sierra a little better, I went with the Silverado because it was a better value IMO.
Great truck if you plan on keeping it for more than 5+ years. Biggest issue will be resale or trade value. If it had every single option available, it will only be worth the SLE $ regardless. Great truck though. Hope it works out for you. I still have my 1997 GMC SLE Z71. 25 years and 278K. Its still awsome and I will never sell it.
Those tires 2nd favorite, BFG KOs 50,000 mile warranty. Dam you scored a beautiful truck. Full leather for truck 400$ ish lots of high-quality options! Flex gate, love mine... Great standard options over chevy.
@@AdventureRocks Flew to Little Rock. Brian picked me up at the LIT airport. The deal was right on. Pricing as we had agreed upon. No hitches at all. Very nice gentleman. I purchased an in stock SLE Crew cab 4x4 standard bed 6' 9". Sierra HD Gas 6.6 V8, Allison 10 speed transmission, with the value package, X31 off road and protection package, standard tailgate, Auto transfer case upgrade and LED lights in the bed, White exterior and brown / slate cloth interior, out the door price was well off of MSRP. Also dealer fee was only $129. Very refreshing. No dealer in Central Ga where I live or South Atlanta would come close and they did not have the SLE equipped like i wanted at this price point. $57694. Out the door, less Tag Tax and title. I'd do it again at Everett GMC Little Rock, Ar. Ask for Brian Cornwell.
I like your take on this. I have a 14 high country 1500 and want to move up to a 2500HD, good options , I need a few more but your there. Thanks, will be reviewing your channel. One more thing, I like the the clearance lights.
I really appreciate your imput, I've also decided to go Gas 1 ton. Which is practically identical to your truck. And The SLE package is what I'd prefer since I plan on using it as a work truck. And I'm not a big fan of leather seats. I live in Texas, and leather seats get HOT!!!
Nice truck for sure. The L8T gasser is in my opinion the best gas engine on the market. My 2022 is just over 36,000 miles and so far so good. I would like to point out to you that in 2020 GM raised the standard GVWRs on the 2500 trucks to 10,650 (10,850 for 2024) for gas and 11,350 for diesels. So a diesel 2500 would have a really similar payload as what you have. Maybe less but close. And then new for 2024 is the max tow package for diesel 2500s and it gives an 11,750 GVWR and also the rear axle and suspension from a 3500 SRW HD. So if you are a diesel fan you don’t have to compromise with the GM 2500s, especially the 2024 with max tow. But nice truck. The GMC SLE and Chevy LT trims have always been class leading for value based on what you get vs what you pay.
The 2500 SLE I'm looking has a payload capacity of 3208lb if I wasn't going to be driving 36k a year and using the truck as a farm truck on the side, I would go with the L8T, sounds like a great engine!
I think you got a great price !!! This is everything I need !!! Because I don’t tow any more I not a big fan of leather… I just like to cruise in comfort ! Don’t need to haul but like to shop around the states and if I need to tow I have it !!!
Gas trucks is way to go.. Ram fuel filter change costs $520 at the dealer. I would probably go with 1 ton gas for the payload. I need about 4k lbs payload
I have the 2022Silverado 2500 Custom for 51000 i Love it . Ordered it from the dealer . Sticker price 48500 a few added options took it to 51000 . Ordered in August 2021 they finished building it an shipped by October 2021
I bought the Chevy LT double cab so it still fit in my garage. Added the convenience, remote start, heated seat, snow plow prep and all terrain tires $57830 retail; out the door for $54,000. Fortunately I was able to disable the automatic braking and lane departure annoyances in order to maintain control of the vehicle myself.
This is a truly excellent review. Wish I saw it before I bought my 2023 AT4 XL. You are right that you pay a lot more and may not get enough value to justify it. My tow capacity is way less on a half ton SUV. I have a lot more creature comforts and amenities, can carry seven people and get excellent mileage with the 5.3 engine--over 18 combined. But it cost a lot more for less torque, less horsepower and way less payload. They're both good vehicles to have. The ten-speed transmissions are fantastic.
Had a 23 gas SLE and traded for a 24 AT4 gas. I liked the 23 but I hate cloth seats and you can’t get the console in the SLE anymore. With kids have to have some cupholders. That was annoying. Mine didn’t even have the fold down cupholders in the back (although you can get it as an option). I don’t mind the feel of cloth but I live in western KS where’s its dusty. Just too hard to keep clean on the farm. That said you can put Katskin leather in for less than $2K. I have no regrets getting the 24 AT4. I do agree the SLE is the best value hands down of the big 3 if you don’t option it up too much. Put many options on it and you might as well get the SLT. Only a few thousand dollars when I speced them out.
Picking up my exact same colour spec truck as yours this Friday but I went with the 18inch rims the black silver ones . But I never thought I was going get a 3/4 ton with all these specs at this price I was thinking of having to go 1/2 with same features for that price . So I’m really happy. Sle with with add on options is the best value you truck in the gm line up if I went with slt for 15k more the only difference would have been centre consul .
Beautiful truck and this is how i would speck one out! I'm really loving that color. The only thing i would do different is i would opt for the 18in wheels. Mainly for better ride and tire costs.
Nice truck! I agree with you 100% about the bench seats. Being able to keep them while still having most of good add-one features is a nice bonus. Regarding leather, you could always get a product like catskinz. Did you end up getting the adaptive cruise option? NVM, see it now. Curious how you like that feature and if its usable while towing heavy loads. It's great that GMC makes this available on the "lower" trims.
I'm getting used to the GM version of adaptive cruise control. Works great so far...maybe it's just a little more "cautious" compared to the Stellantis/RAM equivalent. I do like how GM combines the adaptive and static cruise into same button. Will do some more testing with towing soon.
Decent price for everything you have. Silver is my go to color for every vehicle I have /get . I have a gmc yukon Denali (17), three generations. But , I want a truck as well. I’m a loyal gmc buyer, I even have shares of stock. I hear they’re coming out with a more affordable compact truck starting $25-30,000. I’m holding out for that. I’m done with having the top of the line model. They can keep all the expensive glitz and glamour , all I care about is the quality and performance. Nice truck you have👍🏾
Thank you for this review I've been eyeing these trucks myself the SLE is the best bang for the buck the only option it does not have for me is color match front and rear bumper to do that I will have to step up to a AT4 which looks gorgeous but I don't care for leather and it easily increases the price 8 to 10 grand.
I have same truck even same color but it’s a ‘22 with 6 speed. My SLE had even more options and MSRP was $62,900 which means the apples-to-apples the price has gone up over $5000 in 2 years which gets you the updated dash/gauge cluster and 10 speed trans
Nice looking truck! I have a 2019 GMC Sierra SLT 2500 Duramax. I often thought about getting a gasser but I want the 6.2! And to get that motor, you need to get a high trim level but I wanted to do what you did by stepping down to an SLE. Just heard a lot of bad things about the 6.6 gas and the 6.0 gas. I had a couple of electronic issues, (warranty) other than that, very dependable with 65,000 miles! So I am ok with my current truck.
I love hearing good things about my hometown. The Everett family are good people and do great things for our community. I highly recommend them to anyone. Nice truck and great review.
I really like everything on your truck. Color is nice. And all the options you did get. I'm in colorado and the dealers here only want to sell over the top loaded with all options.
Great video sir! I'm driving a 2018 ram 1500 Laramie that I'm ready to trade in and I'm looking closely at this exact setup. Thank you for the detailed informative video!
love the truck, exactly what Im trading to. My 2015 duramax 3500 has seen the shop 3 times for NOX sensor's, DEF system issue's, glow plugs. Much higher cost of long term ownership is driving me to switch. 10 speed is a game changer for me. Now just gotta find the long box dbl cab in your color. cheers.
Thank you. I hear you on the diesel woes. I've had no regrets coming from the cummins so far, especially with the load I'm towing now. Gas trucks have come so far in recent years.
Exact same truck I got back in May! I have the 18 inch wheels with the brown interior tho. I got the supplier discount so it marked it down to 57k I got it fully loaded as well besides gooseneck package. Just hit 6700 miles and love it so far! Also just put the Borla S-type catback on and it sounds so damn good!!
If you don’t mind my asking, what supplier discount did you use? I drive a truck for Walmart and get a supplier discount as well but won’t know what it is worth until I order the truck. I plan to order a similar SLT as I want the center console. I had planned to order one in Volcanic Red but I have to admit this color goes really well with the lines of this truck.
I currently have the exact same truck but in a 2020 with 6 speed transmission. I look to order the same truck with the 10 speed and larger screen. Might opt for the 3500 for greater payload. Great video. Thanks
100% YES. I was out of state and made a fairly big investment in $$ and time in traveling to Everett. Other dealers may have taken advantage of that situation and tried to add in some extra fees or gimmicks, but not with Everett...they modeled integrity from start to finish. Brian & Brandon completely exceed by expectations and it was the most honest and straight-up deal...no gimmicks of anykind. Definitely give Brian (501-860-1954) or Brandon (501-844-7548) a call and tell them I sent you. They are both extremely helpful.
Lots of tech that will eventually glitch/break and cost money to repair/replace. Imagine the cost to replace those fancy digital guages 😮 Then there's the overall HUGE size of the truck. The massive front end that gives you awful visibility and feels like you're driving a bunker. And at the end of the day it's a chebby with chebby reliability. Other than that it's a great truck, I'd drive it 😁
that is a nice truck....i would have added the auto trac for $200 to get auto 4x4, maybe GMC doesn't but chevy does....well worth cpl hundy almost agree though might as well get an SLT with all that stuff added, surely will help at resale.......cant believe how much they are now......have a 23 High country 2500 and paid 65k for it (got big discount) my payload is 3500 lbs....i dont mind the 6spd but that new screen is nice.....had one in a 1500 Laura GMC is #1 in country i thought but they could be swapping back in forth
Thanks for the video. I currently have a 2004 GMC Sierra SLE standard cab. The nickel and diming along with issues that I would rather someone else deal with has steered us to order a 2025 Crew 2500 SLT. I was happy with the SLE version, however wife wanted the leather bench. We have a aussiedoodle that will be riding between us up front. Hard to do that with buckets. The only camera that I will use it hooking up the trailers. Which means I will get less steps when backing up to hook up. Production has accepted our order which the TPW is 12/9 . The only question I have. Are their connections inside the flip up console for USB as the Denali that I test drove had bucket seats? In our 2004 we have cassette tape slots.
Great review! This is very similar to my build that I am anxiously awaiting. Great to see those wheels in the video, as I have only seen them in photos of my build. Totally agree with how small the 17" wheels look with the way that GMC cuts the wheel wells out so high. Looks like the truck skips leg day at the gym.
Thank you. It'll be worth wait for sure...I have been so very pleased with it from the handling to the appearance in/out to the driving unladen and towing. Lots of updates/videos coming in January.
@@AdventureRocks If you order the SLE and the X31 off road package it will come with the 18" tires and aluminum rims. only less than 3/4" in diameter than the 20" rims and tires. Suites me and I liked the price being at $1600. less than the optional 20" tires and rims. Should ride better also.
Thank you. Yes, SLT forces center console when you start optioning...bench seat not possible on SLT with the same options on my SLE. See 18:44 for more info. Generally SLT will be about $4-6K more option for option + the additonal upgrades that are unique to SLT and not available on SLE such as leather, Bose sound, etc.
Beautiful color which goes very well with the chrome and overall a beautiful truck. Thank you for the detailed tour. What kind of adjustments are available for the front seat passenger - height, lumbar etc..? Will look for your next vid upload for sure. Thanks.
Thank you! On my SLE it is full manual for passenger, and just sliding front/back and the recline lever. 95% of time it's just me upfront though so works for me, otherwise would have to step up to SLT for more adjustments on passenger. But then I lose bench seat once I add in safety/tech packages.
Thoughts on that bed length on a 1/2 ton crew. Don’t see them often, but the short bed just has no room. Think it would look odd in a 1/2 ton. Yours looks great.
Thank you. I had a 2015 RAM 1/2 ton with 6'4" bed and crew cab. It was hard to find, but I loved the extra 8" or so compared to the shorter bed. I kinda liked that option for 1/2 ton. With being 4x4 and crew cab it still looked proportional in my opinion.
Your right about the price in today's market, but I bought my 2019 Denali dmax new for the same price! That shows you how much things have went up in 4 years, its pretty redicules
Nice job selecting this package. Decent price too. And actually I love the color. After some research though there are two items I have on my must have list that may force me into a higher trim level than I otherwise wouldn't need. Number one is auto 4 wheel drive. I live in Montana and we find ourselves on roadways often that are a mix of snow/ice then dry pavement and many times the snow/ice sneak up on you. Number two is the passenger seat. We test drove a chevrolet with bench seat that has only 2 manual adjustments on the passenger side and my wife said it's a deal breaker. Curious to hear how you and wife think of the passenger seat comfort. Also maybe I missed it in the video but was the tonneau cover included and which one is it please?
Thank you! I hear you on the auto 4wd...that is a nice feature. On the passenger seat it is true like you said, little adjustments. Very seldom do I have passengers in front, usually just back. No one has complained yet, but I could see on longer trips the lack of more adjustment could pose a problem. Good point.
Two speed transfer case Active with Auto track, rotary dial 4 wheel drive is a $200 option on the SLE 2500. RPO code NQH. It also allow you to totally disconnect the transfer case for flat ground towing. all tires on the ground.
Thank you for video. I'm in market for new truck GMC 3500HD 6.6l gas not sure on SLE or SLT prices are differently 😮 lot more than each other wow I need gooseneck, 5th wheel
Debates about gas vs. diesel have sort of lost the plot. For the average tower, the modern gas engine fitted in three quarter ton trucks is more than sufficient. There are two exceptions: (1) when you cross north of the 12k lb trailer mark, and (2) if you’re towing in the mountains. And, even then, most weekend warrior types would be “fine” with the gasser if they were heavier or rarely towing slopes (within reason). After all, these modern gassers put out hp/torque that shames even some late model diesels from the 00s. I think your points raised here are exactly correct: this is an ideal configuration for someone looking to get into larger bumper pulls or modest fifth wheels without breaking the bank. And it’s far more stable than comparable half tons in price. This sort of truck is a great, safe platform for like 90% of the public’s towing needs.
Nice video and noce truck thanks I am looking to trade mt RAM 1500 and was considering a GMC as they have the springs instead of coil which should be better on towing.
I had the dealer add Katzskin for leather on our 2021 Ford XLT which is similarly equipped to your GMC. Payload is key when we use a 10K flatbed trailer. I would be curious about gas mileage for both city, highway and mixed. I have heard the ride is nice on the heavy duty GMC lineup.
Nice truck. I really like everything about except the gauges. Ever had a monitor or tv fail? What would you do if the screen in front of the driver failed?
Great point. It appears GM is going away from analog as it was standard on my SLE. The digital wasn't my favorite to start, but now that I've gotten used to it, I'm okay with it. However I'd still be okay with opposing analog with digital in center. I have noticed there are hidden backup indicators right under it if you look closely so I'm guessing they are there in case screen goes out.
Thank you. I know I'm kind of weird and like the bench seat in my trucks. Basically when you step up to an SLT and start adding options such as adaptive cruise and others it forces you to get the center console. But a similarly equipped SLT with same options will price about $73K, so about $5K more than SLE for reference. Of course you get more features in the SLT beyond just the leather seats, so definitely some nice options there!
Very nice truck. You did a good job of building a much lower cost truck than it looks like in todays nuts market. Love the color. Can i ask if you miss any of the bells and whistles you had on last truck that you now wish you would have added to this build now that you have had it a while?
Thank you, I'm really enjoying the truck. Honestly I don't miss any of the "extras" I had on my previous RAM Laramie trim. I'm even okay with the cloth seats...they're kind a more durable cloth material and it's a nice pattern. Really overall it's just a great value truck and the way GM allows you to option up the SLE with some of the conveniences I chose, I really like the end result.
Agree, I have purchased a lot of trucks and the fancy toys break, and the leather isnt the good stuff anymore, just stretches/wrinkles and looks old and dated fast. Appreciate it. Cheers, @@AdventureRocks
Loved this detailed video!! We are looking to buy our first truck.. yea first truck lol We are looking to buy a 2500 gas engine. What made you decide on GMC vs GM? Also, if understanding correctly you ordered it from Everett? How much do you put down when ordering and how long did it take before you were able to pick it up from the dealership? We are in northeastern Oklahoma so Everett is not to far from us:) Any info is greatly appreciated.. We will tow our 24 Imagine Aim with the truck. Right now GMC is our top choice my hubby and I like the looks of it the best :)
Thank you! Yes, gas trucks have come so far in the last few years that I switched from being a desiel guy (last ~8 years) to gas. I think choosing a 2500 gasser is extremely smart in your case...just a really good value and gives you options to upgrade your RV in future without buying a whole new truck. It toes so well with my 21BHE. I chose the GMC over Chevy mainly for the packaging with the SLE trim...Chevrolet does things a bit different in their trim levels. The Ford F250 was also a close contender, but ultimately the SLE packaging and options overall swayed me to the GMC...just personal preference though. I don't think you can go wrong with Ford 7.3L or Chevrolet L8T in terms of towing with gas engines. RAM is a bit behind on the gas side right now, so I'd skip the RAM. I did buy through Everett. Definitely give Brian (501-860-1954) or Brandon (501-844-7548) a call and tell them I sent you. The deposit amount and timeframe may change over time, but they'll get you all the info you need. They are both extremely helpful and I highly recommend them.
Just got rid of a 2017 Ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel. The payload was a pathetic 1500 pounds. Ordered a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ gas and the payload is approx 3200-3500 pounds. Big difference.
Because the Ram limits 3/4 ton (2500 series) to an actual Class 2B truck, 8500-10000 GVWR. GM has raised their trucks to a Class 3 10001-14000. The GVWR of this guys truck is 10,650. A 2500 diesel can be 11,350-500. Which will give it similar payloads before stepping up to 12,000+ in the 3500 series
How do you think this gas GMC 2500 would do with a Hawk 4 Wheel Camper in the box? Camper would be approximately 1500 lbs plus 2 people and gear. Say 2200lbs of payload. Would it require airbags, rear sway bar etc? Your videos are very informative and well done. Keep up the great work.
Great question. So oddly on the 2500s GM puts a sticker in glove box to the tune of "not designed for truck camper" (or something similar)...which I've always found odd given the 3300+ lb payload. All the hardware is there for a truck camper such as the 7-way and 4-way connector in bed...so all I can figure is GM is thinking about the heavier and longer conventional truck campers from Lance, etc. I am not an expert on the Hawk models, but it's my understanding they're exceptionally light, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on a 3/4 ton, especially a modern gasser with 3K+ payload. GM trucks don't usually squat a lot with the leaf springs in general. I could see where airbags could help in terms of handling and give you that adjustability. I had them on my last 1 ton dually and it did improve ride significantly. Otherwise I think you could go into it stock and see how you like it before adding bags or anything else. Hope this helps.
@@AdventureRocks Thank you for responding. It seems the common theme is that airbags (and sway bars) are recommended. I will have to budget into our purchase decision.
@@mbkb735 you could always step up to a 3500 SRW gasser same spec otherwise for additional future capacity. The difference in ride quality would be pretty minimal and you'd probably get another 600 to 900 lb of payload.
It's interesting how they differentiate them. I go back and forth on preferring the looks of one over the other. Both sharp looking with the 24 refresh.
Might have missed it, but what is the mpg comparisons towing and solo on this truck version versus your 21 Ram (dually I know)? At least what does GMC say the mileage should be? I referred your video to my daughter who is looking at diesel vs gas for the ranch. 18000 should be plenty for what they do with a truck. Thanks as always! Kevin
Glad to help. For the HD trucks EPA doesn't rate, so no official rating on either. But, I can share from my experience on the 21 RAM 3500 dually with 6.7 Cummins HO 6-sp Aisin and 4:10 rear, my average daily driving MPG was 16MPG, towing 17K fifth wheel avg 10MPG, and unladen highway avg 18 MPG. On the GMC with 6.6 Gas and 10-Speed I'm guessing it'll be about 2-4MPG less ea category, but I'll have to report back once I get more mileage on it. I will be publishing a 400+ mi highway mpg run this Sunday, 11/22 so stay tuned. I think gas trucks have come a long way in the last few years so between the cost savings, no DPF/emissions stuff, and less maintenance, they are becomming more popular for sure!
Wow! Had no clue you could get a SLE optioned like that. Thats a great looking truck. You got me thinking now. The only thing I’d really miss is my ventilated seats. I’ve come to love those living in the south.
Thank you, I'm really enjoying it so far.
18K with gas requires 4th gear on hills, 18K with diesel u use 10th gear, WITH the AC on.
Put airbags in a 3/4 ton and your payload goes up
airbags do not increase payload it improves ride quality and level.@@javankuusisto6614
I have the same truck but a 2023. I love it! The six speed tranny does great for us. Just pulled our 12,000 pound 5th wheel from NM to Alaska and back! Incredible trip. Best truck I've ever owned
Great to hear it! I'm really enjoying it so far!
Either you just drive home from taking delivery or someone just detailed the heck out of that truck. Absolutely spotless! I tried to find one water spot or dead bug on it but couldn’t! Excellent choice. You’ll love it.
Thank you. Really enjoying it so far!
I think you got a really good deal on the truck, You got all the right options for your lifestyle. You are a very good communicator. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, I'm really enjoying the truck. And thank you for the kind words.
I have had this exact same truck for one year. 2500 SLE gasser. I do have the standard bed. I love this truck. It does everything. I love the simplicity of the gas engine with the power of an HD.
Agree, I'm with you!
Great feedback and points, thank you.
diesel trucks are ruined with the dpf system and def fluid. all it does is store up the particulates and blow them into the atmosphere and waste fuel doing it. what rocket scientist designed that instead of making the engine run more efficiently?

I have a 17 F250 lariat gasser. Been wanting to move to GM for a while but, the cost was insane for me. This is really nicely optioned out. Great motor and trans combo. Looks like I’m going to have to try and work with this dealer.
Thank you. I was really impressed with Brian and Brandon @ Everett. Big savings and no surprises.
I’ve had two GMC SLE model 1/2 tons and it truly is a perfect packaged truck with everything you need. I’m impressed with your build sheet. My next truck could be the 6.6 gasser and a 3/4 ton. Beautiful truck.
Thank you, I'm really enjoying the truck.
Thank you for the kind words. I hope your build and delivery all goes smoothly. I'm really thankful for my GMC...really enjoying it.
Beautiful truck, I’ve got a similar GMC truck from 2020 with 70k miles and have really enjoyed it.
Thank you, fellow owner! I'm really enjoying it so far.
I helped build your truck! Hope she treats you well!
Thank you! Grateful.

Never owned a 2500 pick up but damn it I want one and I think the 24 sierra is the way to go! Just wish this package had a painted bumper option 😢
Enjoy sir!
Thank you! Great points. Appreciate that.

Also dealer fee was only $129. Very refreshing. If you haul, add timkins, amazing 300$ addition rear suspension, 5 minute install
I like your take on this. I have a 14 high country 1500 and want to move up to a 2500HD, good options , I need a few more but your there. Thanks, will be reviewing your channel. One more thing, I like the the clearance lights.
Thank you! I think GM has a lot to offer right now, especially on the HD gas trucks and a good value overall with all the crazy price increases.
I really appreciate your imput, I've also decided to go Gas 1 ton. Which is practically identical to your truck. And The SLE package is what I'd prefer since I plan on using it as a work truck. And I'm not a big fan of leather seats. I live in Texas, and leather seats get HOT!!!
If I didn’t have a need for an enclosed truck what you have is absolutely perfect. I only have a 5.3 4X4 in mine also SLT but it’s great.
GREAT AND NICE TRUCK, NICE ENGINE COMBINE WHIT THE TRASMSSION. GREAT PURCHASE.
Thank you, I'm enjoying it
I have the 2022Silverado 2500 Custom for 51000 i Love it .
Great truck!
10 way seat GOLD,
Big upgrades over 2022.
Thank you. I love the look of AT4 XL. Sharp looking!
Your Video was an eye opener for me , thanks for sharing.
Thank you
In the world of $80,000+ trucks the packages you choose are pretty awesome. You have all the tech and luxry option I would want.
Thank you!
Love the look of the AT4. Sharp looking truck!
@bradniehues9560 can you share the fuel mileage from you experience?
Picking up my exact same colour spec truck as yours this Friday but I went with the 18inch rims the black silver ones . But I never thought I was going get a 3/4 ton with all these specs at this price I was thinking of having to go 1/2 with same features for that price . So I’m really happy. Sle with with add on options is the best value you truck in the gm line up if I went with slt for 15k more the only difference would have been centre consul .
Hope all goes smoothly with your delivery. Congrats on new truck!
Beautiful truck and this is how i would speck one out! I'm really loving that color. The only thing i would do different is i would opt for the 18in wheels. Mainly for better ride and tire costs.
Thank you, I'm enjoying it!
I agree.
This is a beautiful truck 🛻
Best wishes for you !

Nice truck you have👍🏾
Thank you!
Thank you. I'm with you! Have to make a few small sacrifices, but definitely worth the value in the end.
Looks like a nice truck! I love cloth seats just for cold days... cloth isn't as cold on my butt when I first get in the cold morning truck. ;)
Thank you
I have same truck even same color but it’s a ‘22 with 6 speed. My SLE had even more options and MSRP was $62,900 which means the apples-to-apples the price has gone up over $5000 in 2 years which gets you the updated dash/gauge cluster and 10 speed trans
Great feedback, thank you for sharing.
Just an FYI the Ford & GM use the same co-designed transmission & Allison sold the name right to use on GM transmissions a few years ago.

So I am ok with my current truck.

love the truck, exactly what Im trading to.
That is not a bad deal. Congrats buddy and enjoy your truck!

Bet that exhaust sounds amazing.
@@AdventureRocks oh it does! I just sent you videos of it on instagram
I love the bench seat as well.
I currently have the exact same truck but in a 2020 with 6 speed transmission. I look to order the same truck with the 10 speed and larger screen. Might opt for the 3500 for greater payload. Great video. Thanks
That'll be a great truck! I'm really glad with mine.
Thank you for taking the time making this video. Question would you still buy from Evertt again as I will be in the market for a truck.
Other than that it's a great truck, I'd drive it 😁
My Yukon XL is the same color !!! It’s purrrrty
Agreed! Those Yukons look sharp in it!
I have a Silverado with refreshed interior like yours and my digital dash had to be replaced twice now. If I could change it to an analog I would.
Oh so sorry. That's frustrating. I sure hope I don't have problems with mine. I'd be fine with analog on either side personally.
that is a nice truck....i would have added the auto trac for $200 to get auto 4x4, maybe GMC doesn't but chevy does....well worth cpl hundy
almost agree though might as well get an SLT with all that stuff added, surely will help at resale.......cant believe how much they are now......have a 23 High country 2500 and paid 65k for it (got big discount) my payload is 3500 lbs....i dont mind the 6spd but that new screen is nice.....had one in a 1500
Laura GMC is #1 in country i thought but they could be swapping back in forth
No USB in the middle console on mine. But, there are the two on dash, and two down below facing rear at floor. Hope your new build goes smoothly.
@@smoknbenfryer6483 Great point. Thank you for reporting back on the 3/4" difference...that is very helpful and good info to know.
Nice truck.Just wondering if you priced a SLT trim truck vs. loading up a SLE?
Totally Worth it
Thoughts on that bed length on a 1/2 ton crew.
Agreed, that's crazy! Denali sure is nice, sharp truck!
I like the truck 👍
Good price, if I have to trade my truck I could handle half of the price so is more affordable for me
Good job and very well spoken.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Beautiful truck dude nothing like a chevy love it
Thank you, I'm really enjoying it!
Thank you. Hope all goes smoothly on the build/order for you.
Good points!
Beautiful truck. Just curious, whats it get for gas mileage??
Nice video and noce truck thanks I am looking to trade mt RAM 1500 and was considering a GMC as they have the springs instead of coil which should be better on towing.
I think so. I had 2016 3/4 ton RAM and the coils were stiffer compared to my 2015 1/2 ton, but still think leaf springs are better suited to loads.
Beautiful truck man. Hope to have one some day!
Thank you. I'm enjoying it.
Thank you. Planning on publishing some MPG videos over next month or so
I always pop some Timbrens in all my trucks!!! They turn your truck into a towing beast!!! Did they fix the cracking roof issue at the factory level??
No crack on mine. Sounds like only a very limited number impacted.
Beautiful truck, hows the ride quality? Stiff? Or soaks up the bumps pretty good? Mpg on highway?
Thank you! Yes, next Sunday 11/19 I plan to publish an 400+ mi MPG run and discuss initial impressions after switching from the RAM. Stay tuned :)
Love this spec 👍👍
Ideas for the second battery box?
Would make a great tool storage area.
Great idea
Very nice truck. That many options you might be ahead getting the SLT.
We are looking to buy our first truck.. yea first truck lol
We are looking to buy a 2500 gas engine.
What made you decide on GMC vs GM?
Also, if understanding correctly you ordered it from Everett?
How much do you put down when ordering and how long did it take before you were able to pick it up from the dealership?
We are in northeastern Oklahoma so Everett is not to far from us:)
Any info is greatly appreciated..
Call Everette Buick GMC in Little Rock, Ar. ask for Brian Cornwell and he will answer all of your questions.
Great value!
Just got rid of a 2017 Ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel. The payload was a pathetic 1500 pounds. Ordered a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ gas and the payload is approx 3200-3500 pounds. Big difference.
💪🏻
I've got a 2024 Chevy LTZ gasser. I believe the GMC trucks come with more options in the same packages than Chevrolet adds.
I hear you. I was surprised too. I'm really enjoying the truck!
I miss ventilated seats also. 😢
Currently looking to buy one like this soon.
I really am enjoying it. Highly recommend it.
@ never own a truck before, this will be a big change for me.
Just ordered a Denali Gas in the same color. Hopefully, will come in 3 to 6 months.
That'll be a sharp looking truck! Hope all goes smoothly on the build and delivery.
I think so too. I saw one with the diesel and it looked awesome.@@AdventureRocks
