SLT has bench seat std - it requires the SLT convenience pkg to get console/buckets. If you’re buying off the lot most dealer inventory has this pkg, but you can get it without. Interestingly, Chevy will let you add a console on LT trim, but GMC won’t on SLE
You referenced the build of your truck so I’m guessing you ordered this one? If so I know this is getting into your private space but could you give me an idea of how much off MSRP you got if any by ordering? I’m looking at a new truck. I’m seeing in some cases 6-7 grand off MSRP in my area. I wouldn’t think I could get that same discount by ordering a new one.
Great question. So I bought mine last fall...it was built September and then I took delivery late October 2023. With the new refresh and limited supply the 2024 HDs were pretty hot at the time and so dealers were offering little to no discounts. Really it was just incentives available at the time, whether through relationships, memberships, first responder discounts, etc....or GM sales incentives. But, it's my understanding that now, about a year later, dealers are willing to offer larger discounts. Definitely try reaching out to Everett Buick GMC and perhaps also Laura Buick GMC...they are two of the largest and likely able to offer good price. But, like you said oftentimes you can get even more off a unit on the lot already...always trade-offs. 6-7K off sounds pretty good to me.
I seem to be right around 13mpg unladen in mixed driving, still just under 17mpg for highway. I know it doesn't sound great compared to other vehicles, but I am very pleased considering all things. My cummins high-output was only about 3-4 mpg better, so I'm still ahead with the cost premium on diesel fuel too.
I just bought a fully optioned out 2024 Chevy 2500 lt for the same reason. I don’t want bucket seats or leather. The only things I wish I could have gotten would be HUD and the Bose sound system
Exact spec to my 2024 Silverado 2500 HD LT Z71 minus adaptive cruise. I agree that GM option package combinations knock it out of the park. That's why I searched for a few months to find what I wanted, and what appealed to me. Super coincidental.
The exact topic I’m considering right now . SLE or SLT? Thanks for your very thorough explanations. SLT it is for us. I need that extra comfort and features in the front pax seat. Thanks again.
I don’t think you have to go back that far to exceed the top trims. I think you can be well into the 2000s and still exceed the top trims. This is something GM has done well for a long time. The SLE/LT trims have been a great value for what features you get. Best in the market in my opinion. As for what you’re missing, probably nothing for the SLE trim. If you go by what is available on the top trims still not a lot. Front parking sensors. Memory seats. Cooled seats. Rear heated seats. Power extend mirrors. Rear view mirror camera (that might be an option for the SLE though, it is available even on the Custom Chevy trim). Heads up display. Massage seat (Denali ultimate and AT4X only though). That’s about it off the top of my head. I personally love your truck. I do want a center console the next go around for me so I’ll probably stick with the LT trim Chevy but I do like your specific truck.
Love the way your truck is optioned out even tho it’s SLE (I love the Chevy Custom trim). It’s literally everything you need and nothing you don’t. The only thing I could add and it was mentioned below is the Upfitter switches and is that a deal breaker I don’t think so. I want to go back to 2500HD.
All your new truck videos have really helped me see the truck in detail before purchase. I've been trying to spec out a new Denali but the GM website won't let me add the gooseneck / fifth wheel prep package? Any idea's about that?
Thank you, I'm glad to hear it. Sorry to hear about conflict on gooseneck/5th prep pkg. I think there is one bundled with "max trailering package" that requires diesel and 11.7K GVWR, but then there should be another stand alone "Gooseneck/5th Wheel Prep Package" @ $545 for gassers that adds the puck system and 7-way to bed. I'm not as familiar with Denali configuration. I wonder if it is mandatory or bundled in on some configurations? Sorry I'm not of more help on this one.
@@AdventureRocks Thanks for the reply. The only one on the GMC website forces me to the Duramax. did you spec your truck online or at the dealer? Maybe the dealer can see something I cannot.
Just looked at the Chevrolet website build and price and the Gooseneck / 5th Wheel Prep Package is available for $1.090. Doesn't make any sense why its not available on the GMC website.
@@markmershon1348 I was able to spec mine on website and it matched verbatim to actual build sheet. I know it can be tricky working through the options though. Could be that site is glitching.
@@AdventureRocks Well, very confusing, but figured it out. I had to select the Gooseneck Hitch Package ($325) which I don't need as I'll be using a 5th wheel hitch, but that then adds the Gooseneck/5th Wheel prep package. ($870) Total cost of $1,195. The $325 Gooseneck Hitch Package is just the ball and chain tie-downs for the bed.

On my previous trucks it hasn't been an issue, but I sold privately on my own and marketed them to get the extra $$.
