Love your boat! I agree, great design and wonderful details. I have had a ton of spider crack issues with gelcoat on various boats and I have some videos on my channel on how to route them out and fill them in. However, I am finding with surfaces like yours with just tons and tons of cracks, it will take forever to route them out and fill them in with fairing compound and sand...Big ones, yes that works fine. but so may of them just aren't practical to fill in. So I have tried now to use an epoxy barrier coat that fills them in and you can paint over them. I used TotalBoat's TotalProtect (the gray kit) and it really really worked well. A couple coats and it filled in these and very much self-levels. but a little light sanding if needed and it made a great surface for painting. Painting alone won't do it. It just doesnt fill them in well and you still can see them.
