Thank you very much i have been struggling from this pain since 2 yrs and tried many different therapy but this one gave me instant relief. I will continue to do this and hope the pain vanishes completely.
Thank you!! During pandemic I can’t go to the gym and decided to try Chloe Ting’s workout for a few weeks until my wrist gave up. This movement truly ease the pain!
It really depends on the reason for the wrist pain. Very rarely will you find a single drill that resolves any painful area completely. The goal is to find a collection of drills that address several areas that improve the overall function of the arm.
@@chirostrength So I play tennis and my wrist pain is incredibly bad I just collapse after trying to do a push up and start groaning will this fix it entirely or not
@@FundamentalForms I would be cautious about approaching a sports injury with only 1 or 2 stretches. If you're still playing tennis I would get under the care of a professional who understands your sports. You're likely dealing with other biomechanical issues specific to your sport that is overloading the wrist and a more holistic approach would likely be needed.
i used to do pushes EVERY DAY (30-40) but got a ganglion cyst on my wrist. i cant do any pushups now (for 2 years) because it hurts to bend my wrist back. I m so sad because pushups is all i used to do. the cyst wont go away. doctor said i cant do surgery since its too small. i just have to live with it
I started training again about 6 weeks ago and went from not being able to do one push up to managing them fairly easy. But while my muscles have grown and adapted fine, I get chronic wrist pain after a set. Do you think this could be because I've been too hasty with my training or is it likely something else?
It's likely that didn't spend adequate time warming up the wrists with mobility drills. Basically, if you can't actively extend your wrist back to close to 90 degrees (the position your wrists are in during a push up) then you're going to be compressing those joints and causing pain. Focus more on mobility and modify your and position in push ups for a few weeks.
my synovial cyst/ganglion cyst is decreasing with your exercise, but i'm doing these exercises with more intensity, i support all the weight of my body in the exercise. Thanks for the video, if it disappears completely, I'll come back to let you know.
I'm just seeing this comment, Im very glad to hear you were finding some progress. These Cysts tend to stick around for a while and resolution is slow so I hope you've been able to maintain your progress!
Modify the amount of extension by elevating the base of the palms on a surface. In the meantime, work these drills to improve your wrist extension. By eliminating the irritating factor (which is loaded extension of the wrist without adequate mobility) by modifying your push up position, and by diligently working your mobility, you should slowly be able to increase the amount of push ups you can do with out aggravating the cyst.
So, im a boxer and i have had this injury before and it was kind of problematic, i needed 7 or 8 treatments until it got better, however, when i got that out of my way, i kind of injured same spot but on the other hand, but this time, i feel a lot less pain then when ive had it on the other arm. My question is, is it okay to continue training (after week of pause) with some pain (mainly when i push my whole hand back, like in push up position) because i rarely, or almost never ,use my hand in that kind of position when im boxing. Also, another thing that i can see is that i feel aboslutely no pain when i push my fingers back as far as i can, pain only appears when i push whole hand back. (idk if that makes sense) Anyways, Thanks so much!
i was having wrist for three days but i ignore it and day by day it become worst so i decided to find a way to fix it from youtube i jus found dis vid and follow it and now HOLLA!! IT'S ALL GONE 👍
When I do pushups hurts the most. I am a cook using the wok alot with my left hand maybe that's wat screwed it up. Any tips? Cold or hot? Pack. Thxs in advance! 😀
It’s definitely an option. Just know that cysts occurs when joints are experiencing stress. If there are mobility issues in the wrists and they are stressed in these end ranges the cysts will form. If you surgically remove the cyst, it won’t change the need to improve the biomechanical issues which lead to the cyst. The risks would be more rapid onset of degeneration if there is no improvement of these ranges.
@@chirostrength What about aspiration of the cyst and then improving the biomechanics of the wrist? that way the cyst is at least temporarily gone and I work to do the things that would help the wrist function correctly and improve it
@camillepowell3250 yes. Even if surgery is still necessary, you’ll never go wrong with improving the active range of motion for the wrists. Not everyone will have the same demands they put on the wrists from a loading or range of motion standpoint, so it’s hard to say in your specific case what would be most appropriate, but getting as much flexion/extension and supination/pronation would be the general ranges to work
I have the same problem i stopped going to gym as doctor asked me to hive my hands rest i rested for 6 months but still the pain doesn’t decreased and its too much now, i cant lift weights from my right hand and i cant do push-ups! What should i need to do please suggest
unfortunately in this scenario the only responsible advice I can give you is to get assessed and checked by a professional. Pain is very broad term that can be present for many different reasons. If some stretching and simple strategies don't help, it's possible that there are more in depth complications going on that need to be treated by a professional.
8 years ago my wrist has fractured and cured in traditional treatment. Now a days I am doing silambam work outs and got the pain in wrist..even could not able to push ups also...what I want to do sir? The bones are not joined well?
I've broke my wrist twice and my elbow once on the right side. These help, but you also need to work on stenghting end ranges of your motion actively. Look up "CARs of wrist" and work on improving your active range of motion as well as adding these into your routine. In the meantime, modify your grip with your exercise to be more neutral. For example, holding dumbbells in a push up to keep the wrist neutral instead of wrists flat on ground.
Thank you very much i have been struggling from this pain since 2 yrs and tried many different therapy but this one gave me instant relief. I will continue to do this and hope the pain vanishes completely.
Awesome! Keep consistent and hopefully those tight ligaments in the wrist begin to slowly open up!
Bro what it workeddd! Been doing alot of push ups then got wrist pains tysm
Thanks a lot! Ive been having this issue for a couple months now, I kinda messed up my wrists overtraining on handstands. This will definitely help!
Thanks a lot, no more pain. ❤
Excellant advice dude. Thanks.
Thx bro. Basically u just have to apply some pressure before doing the push ups
Thank you for the video

Same problem
You a real for this video
Thanks this helped immeasurably
I should’ve got rid of this ganglion cyst years ago!
If you got the pinching should I rest 3 weeks first or just start doing these mobility exercises? Thank you! ❤️
Great channel. Transcend your mic quality. It takes things 5 flights of stairs as far as quality. Thanks for the pain relief.
Thanks.
Thank you! Liked and subscribed!
Man I can’t bend my left hand backwards idk what’s wrong with my wrist can’t even do I push up , any help ?
Please give permanent solution for shin splints too , make a video on it too
Very important info 👍 👍 but why I see two different persons arms. Why one arm is darker than the other.
can this exercise cure wrist pain totally? Without modify push-ups position.

best of luck finding resolution that. This video is unfortunately not targeting that issue.
