Dude i just found this video 5 years later and out of probably 4 years of google searching and 2 doctors visits this is what fixed me! Im not even joking as i was watching this the first time i start massaging and feeling around and i feel excruciating pain in those exact muscles. Ive been skateboarding and doing alot of high impact sports since i was a kid and ive gotten to wear i literally cant do a single push up because of the pain and the DOCs just recommend the bands and exercises to strengthen the wrist but it never worked and i gave up and now i just found this video because im locked up at home due to the COVID-19 and trying to do pushups and after doing this for 2 days the pain from massaging got less and less and now its bearable and i plan on doing this on a daily basis from now on as part of my strectching/massage routine. PS sorry for the paragraph im bored!!!
I'm keen to try, my wrist injury is from skateboarding and so for ages I've had to do pushups with balled fists like I'm punching the ground. If it's worked for your shitty skateboard wrists I'm keen to see results
@@Phorpy i have to do the same. Try those lil bar things( not the perfect push up but the ones that don't move)or dumbells so it doesn't suck for your nuckles.
I wanna add that the muscle right behind your elbow on the underside of your arm and also the one after your elbow on the top side of your arm is also a good place to massage for this pain. That's usually what I do but it just wasn't letting up today. Thanks for teaching me these other trigger points
I was just watching this out of curiosity because I've met a lot of people who have issues with this from time. I think I will share this with other Equestrian Vaulters because we use those muscles a lot. I don't know what movement pattern it is exactly but I ALWAYS feel tight in that area. thanks!!
I use a tennis ball and it’s the only thing that helps my right wrist pain on pinky side. I can even feel it down in my wrist when I foam roll serrated anterior. The injury is from golf (holding my breath when swimming with force).
Thank you for this video. You nailed it. I’ve been having similar issues with my serrated anterior. Been doing some massage work. I had an inkling that this might be affecting my push-ups and this wrist pain. Sort of fun to figure out the origins of certain pain and hit spots. Thanks again!
Really nice stuff~Bro I believe the reason why should be overcompensation that once one joint in a compound move got knotted up, other tend to take over those overload for that joint. In this case, the wrist, unfortunately, attached to the forearm and maintaining a extreme extension on one side which means it takes a lot overload, so, it is easily for the wrist, and normally the side we need to bend doing pushups, to have the pain
Holy shit. I hurt my wrist two years ago from too much yoga and pushups/planks/etc and the top/inside of my wrist has hurt since then anytime I put weight on it in pushup position. Flexing my wrist one way or the other against the ground as other videos suggest hasn't done much for me -- I don't lack mobility, it just hurts at 90 degrees with a load. I only just watched your video but I can already notice a difference! I'm sure I need to do this for several days before I start getting too crazy with pushups again, but thank you so much! For anyone reading, if you flex your wrist back and forth while poking around as he describes, you can feel your muscles flex all the way down your arm into where you're poking. Thank you so much, I'll report back in a few days on how it feels.
What in the sweet home Alabama Kentucky fried chicken ass heeeell this works I just got out of football practice and I swear I couldn't do a push up but now it hurts much less

Serratus posterior was also a huge issue for me. Effects wrist and ulnar side. Great vid.
