I’m loving how you’re doing Fashion Weeks this year, not that it seemed you didn’t love it the past years, but you seem so much more relaxed and enjoying the moment! Loving the looks this year too! Also long gloves is bringing back Olivia Pope from Scandal. She always looked soo powerful in long gloves with chic coats and capes. Missing Alex though, hope he’s good! X

You're in the public eye with a large social media following - there are prob a lot of people who recognise you hence the picture taking whether you are working or relaxing, in the same way it happens to actresses etc. A negative part of the job sure but as you say the privileges that come with it are also significant - high and low extremes if you like. imo influencers encourage this type of behaviour by promoting social media and the need to take pictures of everyone and everything all the time.
i am Italian (actually from Milan) and i can confirm some men have the tendency to be seedy however if the pictures look editorial and the person having the picture taken looks like a model (which you do) i guess they think they are catching a celebrity moment and I wouldnt take it badly as this would not happen to an average person!
I was thinking the same. Or maybe a girlfriend or wife watches Victoria and they recognized her 😊
You’ve caught the attention of sophisticated world-renowned brands, so much so that they seek to employ you to use your attraction ergo influence to mutual benefit. It’s no wonder that when “in the wild” aka public doing even a quick shoot, you catch men’s attention. Unfortunately some men are devoid of any couth 🫤 If you went out like I did to the post office this morning, that wouldn’t happen, ever lol 🤪. You’re striking, it’s inevitable.

I do think that the picture situation is that they think you are famous, maybe a model. You’re all glam and they think oh she must be important and famous. Since you’re not just taking one photo like a tourist would, and then moving on, it looks like you’re in the middle of an important photo shoot, which most people think is for famous people. I can certainly see where it would make you feel uncomfortable, but I feel like that’s what’s going on.

its just a little more premium and curated i assume, still parent company is Starbucks which makes their coffee questionable , but whats certain is their support for non conforming state that conduct itself against multiple international law. I looked at this from your pov and I can absolutely understand what you’re saying so I hope you can understand this from a woman that doesn’t care much for social media.
To be honest Victoria, it’s bizarre behaviour to have your photos taken in a very public place, at least to “normal” everyday people. It’s also bizarre to me-a “normal” woman- when you say “I’m still a woman that doesn’t want her photo taken by a random man” but you post online-It’s a double edged sword I suppose.
You may get irritated by this but remember that you’re used to it because this is what you do and surround yourself with.
These men most likely have no idea who you are and they probably don’t care. All appearances would indicate you’re someone famous(because you’re being photographed in public) and it’s fashion week…
My guess is these men go home and reverse search the image to see if you’re even anyone worth telling the story to.
It did Not used to be like this! When someone was taking pictures of themselves or when you was with someone people would politely ask if they could take the pic with YOur camera/phone with who your with Not taking pictures of someone you don’t know!!! Our world is so upside down rt now
As a mom of an 18yr girl, I would loath any person to take her photo without her permission. Gross!!!

I’m not saying it’d not creepy, it definitely is and unacceptable but I do wonder if they take a pic just in case you are someone they can later brag about that they saw. We, as women, have to be very cautious so I understand the feeling

I guess the men that take your picture send it to their last bachelor party whatsapp group with a message like, „just saw her, would do her“ and everybody replies something stupid. 😮😂😂
My daughter came home yesterday sobbing her heart out because some older man was saying how beautiful her hair was and took pictures of her , she’s only 17 and it breaks my heart that he has her pictures on his phone and how uncomfortable he made her feel , it’s disgusting that he thinks it’s fine to do that 😢
Ugh yep it’s disgusting. Gross men will always be gross and they don’t care about how young w girl is. I was hit on by men since age 12. GROWN MEN. 🤢
When I went on a round world trip with my children 18 years ago a lot of Asian people kept asking my husband and I if they could take pictures of my children! Some of them said it was because they had blonde hair and hadn't see hair like theirs before. It was really creepy! and not long after this happened Madeline McCann went missing. I have always felt uncomfortable about it. My mother, when she was 21and who is now 80, told me when she went on a world trip and travelled through Greece and Italy that she had men trying to grab her and photograph her (she had blonde hair too). She was really frightened. These fashion week Vlogs are so much fun for us! Sorry they come at a cost for you! 🫶

I agree Victoria with the obsession of taking of pictures and it is disturbing to know what happens to pictures that you have no control of where they get posted. Even socially (privately) I decline many photos my friends may want to take because I am uncomfortable to have so many photos out in universe that I am unaware of. Sometimes I wish all this technology would not takeover.
It's worse now that deepfakes are everywhere and there's no legislation against it

And I agree, there should be boundaries but it’s like we have lost our privacy to public consumption. You never know what people are doing with their phones….or why. If Alex was there the men probably wouldn’t dare to take pictures.

This has been my absolute favourite fashion month you've ever done. You've taken your time, seen some beautiful shows but without the stress and it has just been fantastic and humorous and 100% Frow!

great discussion Victoria, I do street photography and whilst I'm out walking I will have men stopping their cars, getting out of their cars and demanding to know why I'm walking as I'm usually walking from one spot to the next without my camera on show for safety reasons. when i say its know of your business their reply is always but i see you walking, i know where you live, i know where your going and I'll drive you there. I don't know what i wrong with society it doesn't feel safe and it makes me wonder who else is watching me. like you said you don't know what they will do with the images its the unknown that makes you feel unsafe. all your content is beautiful loving fashion month x

Regarding the conversation around men taking your photo...For me it has more to do with someone taking your photo without your consent and you not knowing what they will do with it. It is a violation of privacy (and that may be considered ironic by some because of your job, but you still have the right to privacy). I don't think it should matter if they think you're a model or celebrity. It's an odd behaviour that I wouldn't imagine doing with a celebrity or a "normal" person on the street being photographed by a friend.

I think it’s entirely different. Someone in the background of a shot is there for milliseconds. This is someone taking a purposeful photo of someone, to then send to others or do what they like with it. It’s the context that is entirely different

On the picture taking topic. In Berlin international Tourists sometimes take pictures of my son. He is 2 and very cute. I also wonder what they are doing with a picture of a random child.

I think you might be overthinking it and you're in public so people are allowed to take pictures of whatever they want as long as it's not harassment. But I think people doing that are most likely just a fan of your outfit and not sure if it will be posted online to find so they'd rather document it themselves or they might not even be taking a picture of you but of the area. In touristy places it's hard to take pictures of just scenic things without having random people in the shot.
Love, love this years fashion coverage, relaxed and just doing you! How we should all do life! You and Rebecca are just lovely, what a testament to your focus on relationships and love. I’m an older lady who just loves your fresh and positive outlook on life, fashion and lifestyle. Keep on bringing the sunshine!

I agree it would be disconcerting to be photographed by a strange man when you are filming on the street in a professional situation..But I don't see the worry about what they will do with the photos when your image is all over social media and those photos/videos are accessible to strangers all over the world..
