    Thanks for the video.....one question. For the final brim row, are you only going into the BACK loops of the coffee color? I'm asking because that's how I've seen it done in other similar patterns but it's hard to follow only by watching the video, so clear narrative is critical. Thanks!

    • @SaraSach
      @SaraSach  7 лет назад

      No, it is not stitched in the BACK loops on this pattern. If it were, I would have stated it. The Free Crochet Pattern Link is in the notes under the video, if you need more help.

      Yes, the video you're talking about with a young lady that does the back loop only on the brown. I like the wider bottom on the website the young lady(Kitty's Boutique Creations) has on her channel. This one is nice for towel drying. I'm making coaster. I just noticed this one when lady puts in down, the left side is not as curbed out as the right, guess a mistake on stitch count. Easy fix. Look at clock on video 15:18 Check on ''repeatcrafterme.com'' for a coaster she uses more stitches, but I also like this one with 13 stitches to make a bigger one. But this one does not have the coffee look like a full cup. Kitty's which looks full cup of coffee, check her po I plan to make this one for decoration in my kitchen. Another thing I noticed, she did some stitches her way, I really like the half double crochet (HDC) also, but in a HDC one yarns over(yo) goes thru the 2 stitches or as another instructor calls them, the 'V' shaped & yo & go thru the "3" loops on the hook. I have never seen nor does any instructor does go thru 4 loops on the hook & calls them HDC. Maybe she was trying to do a 'treble', not sure. She started the HDC well, when one gets to the brown which represents coffee, one 'can' go thru the back loop only(blo) & that represents the other side of the mug rim. People who don't know a lot about crocheting may get confused. Go to bethintx1 here in RUclips, she is an excellent instructor. Type in hdc or half double crochet, she teaches all the stitches slowly & zooms in. She also has her '' back to basics '' for people learning to crochet, it's where I learned it 13 years ago. Of course there are several ways to do patterns. I am making one like this one, but not the stitches how they are made near the coffee part.

    You started with 12 D.C., by row 7 if you added 2 in each row is not 18 dc
