I love this game. I'm a 45 year old truck driver who's usually not into stuff like this. But i'm so happy i gave this game a chance, it brings me back to when i was younger and i was a bit more open minded about things and was more interested in trying new things. I played Deltarune cause i lost a bet with my 18 year old daughter and i'm so happy i did. I love the characters in this game, especially Ralsei, he's my favorite followed closely by Susie. Thanks for making such an amazing game that captivated a side of me that i thought was long gone. I can't wait to play the rest of the series.
I recommend playing undertale as well, because it was made by the same person and was made before deltarune. Undertale was intended to be played before deltarune.
This song honestly gives me such a feeling of celebration and of a triumphant return to the Dark World and the story of Deltarune as a whole, especially after having waited so long for it’s return. It felt like returning to a home we had long been away from to embark on another grand adventure.
This is so true. The impact of returning back to the dark world in a new chapter is so much stronger when there's actually been a big irl time gap in between them, i'm happy to be a part of this since it's not something you can quite experience when every chapter is out and new players will play them all one after another

1:05 Hearing this part while playing Chapter 2 for the first time, immediately gave me 009 Sound System vibes, and I had to pause for a second to just appreciate it for a minute or two. I am a 2000's kid, after all.
It reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy X's soundtrack. Those synthesizers in the background that sound like singing voices have straight up ascended me to heaven and beyond, bro. I think the best part of the Cyber World is hearing so many distinct synth-y or chiptune instruments that were prevalent throughout older RPGs. As well as the whole setting being a callback to the 90's-early 2000's perception of what the internet world looked like in the eyes of someone unfamiliar with it, the computer lab being used as an entrance to the Cyber World is extremely fitting (if only there were some Magic School Bus reference in the PC lab x3). Learning how to use a computer at school 16 years ago evoked the same intriguing feeling as listening to this song, there's just something so wondrous and mysterious about the internet when experiencing it for the very first time that Toby somehow captured in essence. Experiencing that feeling again despite all my years having taken it for granted is a beautiful thing...

I don't think Chapter 2 took three years. He was gonna release it all at once so that's why it was taking so long. The reason why Ch 2 even came out right now in the first place was because of the fact Toby decided to throw us all a bone.
@@thesnatcher3616 In the 2020 progress report he did, Toby said that chapter 2 would be done by the end of that year excluding polishing, so it was probably only properly finished sometime this year. But it was being developed at the same time as the upcoming chapters, so those shouldn't all take 2.5-3 years each.
The main reason it took so long was because Toby was busy planning out the story of all seven chapters, and was experimenting with different engines for the games code. Then Covid happened, then Toby injured his wrist stumping his ability to work at all, so all of that contributed to Chapter Two taking so long. So with this in mind, Chapters 3-5 probably won’t take anywhere near as long to come out (Toby said he’d release 3-5 together as one.)
I wanted to cry when I heard this song. It was like the feeling of my first time playing Undertale 5 years ago, or the first time playing Deltarune almost 3 years ago. Even if it wasn't that long ago, the feel of nostalgia was overwelming. And with this incredible introduction I just knew the game will be as good as the others. And it was. Ngl I was slightly tensed up when I was falling off the cliff expecting some crazy guitar hero esque survival minigame. Until I realized it was just the world warming up to the music for a beat drop intro. Looking back at it now, that's an ingenious way to start the adventure. Just drop on in and let everything else play out to say "Welcome back to Deltarune." Felt amazing.

Not really. Sure undertale and deltarune have amazing soundtracks, but there are games with better ones. For example touhou (pls don't argue, I'm not psycho fan) and pokemon mystery dungeon
Deltrune/Undertale's soundtracks are pretty great and the somewhat retro sound they have reminds me of some of Blinch's works, specifically his work on the Loop Hero OST. Both Toby and Blinch are quite talented in my opinion and I wonder if they'd ever both collab at some point since they have some similarities in their styles.
This song is somewhat nostalgic to me as it very much reminds me of a remix of 'Field of hopes and dreams' and 'Another medium', I'm so thankfull for all of Toby's hard work to give us chapter 2 :)

I was listening to this music while I was reading a manga and the fact that this music and the manga are very joyful, rather positive vibes and at the same time mysterious. This made that every time I listen to this music, I think of the manga. When I listen to it, it doesn't make me think about Deltarune so much as the manga.

Frl when I played this game and came to this part of the game, the beat drop set everything up for an amazing adventure, a new beginning after years of waiting. I was crying tiny tears of joy inside, I knew this was the start of something amazing.

I have no idea how Toby does it. Just by music alone, he made a wall of pixel buildings and a scrolling 3D background become one of the most rich and wonderous locations I've ever experienced in a video game.
