    Thanks for watching!
    Here's some small corrections/additional information:
    1:05 - Nairquake Runoff Fair does not change with weight, but instead with gravity (also called floatiness.) Lower gravity characters get out easier as they fall less far into the fair.
    1:35 - Fastfalling timing does not affect the combo at all beyond ensuring you get nairquake, as nairquake has fixed endlag. If you fastfall too late, you'll get the aerial finisher for nair instead, which can still be comboed out of but not in the same way.
    4:40 - You can actually punish any airdodge (not just directional) that doesn't go to ledge/onstage even if your execution is slow

    This combo is SO good if you master it, thanks for the guide.. Pelupelu used to get it on me a lot and I was just like "why is EVERYONE not doing this"

    That was a pretty clean presentation. It gives me some ideas on how to explain set play for future projects.

    This confirms is so good. I added it to my Byleth gameplay. It’s easy to execute/react to when landing. It’s a confirm all Byleths need to know, it has the “why isn’t everyone doing this” feeling.

    Great video, very well done. Byleth players are lucky to have a group like crest scholars.

    It might be worth noting that if you ever have trouble getting out the fair early enough (or keep dash attacking at the ledge) and use tilt-stick, you can also buffer it with an "EDC buffer" at lower percents. Dash towards the ledge, let go of dash, c-stick forwards, and then move your control stick in the same direction as your dash again before you go off the ledge. It takes a bit of getting used to, but the nice thing is it's always the same timing, and always makes sure the fair comes out frame 1, so it's extra useful at earlier percents. I'd made a video about this technique (not Byleth specific) a while ago. It's a lot of text, but it's there if you want to learn more about it: ruclips.net/video/B-6dzCf_2mI/видео.html
    Also, another thing I noticed while testing this out: sometimes you'll have one less frame if you try to use tilt stick for the fair as opposed to pressing the a button (or buffering it), so make sure to always press a. (For example, if you roll from the ledge and then dash once back towards it, you're at a distance where you can get fair to start on the 11-th frame after you start running off the ledge, while if you use the c-stick on that 11-th frame, you'll still get a dash attack instead and can't fair until the 12-th frame.)

    Good guide, there aren’t many videos on youtube showing off this sort of stuff so it’s nice to see this. Looking forward to more in the future!

    This is such a great video. Combined with the Down-Throw Bair Video I feel blessed to be picking up Byleth right now as you are producing this type of S+ content. Please keep up the good work. Really enjoy the 5-10 minute primers on a specific piece of tech.

    I just found out about this channel, and I'm pretty excited to see what other videos come out for Byleth. I've done the nairquake runoff on a few occasions, but I haven't labbed it out or thought about it too much. I also knew about the down throw into back air, but I'm bad at instant back airs, so seeing both of them in context with controller directions really helps a lot! Keep up the good work!

    Nice video! at 2:43 you mention that pressing A for the Fair is preferred over the C-stick, but the timing is identical for both inputs, and getting a dash attack misinput is probably greatly preferred over an Fsmash. A cool thing with the C-stick is that there is actually a precise diagonal angle where you can buffer the Fair before running off! With some practice or notches on your c-stick I'm sure it can be useful for Byleths as it is for Link mains who also thrive off Nair runoff Fairs as well.

      That’s really great to know! I play a little Link myself so I know exactly what you mean by his nair runoff fair confirm, it’s a pretty similar concept.

    Great Video! I never knew fair was set weight. Also, thinking to do an a input instead of a cstick input is really smart.

    Hi just found your channel! I'm having trouble with the FF nair having the landing hitbox. Any tips on getting it out consistently?

    • @CrestScholars
      @CrestScholars  2 года назад +1

      If its rising, generally wait for the 3rd hit and then fastfall. If raw and falling, I typically try to not fast fall? Details vary on matchup. Hope this helps!

    • @pathway1

      @@CrestScholars ooh I see, so what I'm understanding is I don't start the nair immediately when short hopping? But rather, when I'm almost at the peak of my SH, then nair and that'll count as a rising to get the landing hitbox? For falling, why do I _not_ fast fall the nair? Wouldn't fast falling it make it easier to get the landing hitbox to combo?

    • @CrestScholars
      @CrestScholars  2 года назад

      I cant believe Im three months late but I meant buffer the aerial and fast fall slightly delayed - most consistent way to get nq across the cast
