Just a suggestion (arranger to arranger), that chord that you have just the trumpets playing, I say put the other band with in it to make it sound fuller and louder. Sounds nice though.
@@codacompositions If I can jump in on the suggestion train: You should add more elements to the arrangement. From how this sounds right now, I don't think this would be a fun chart to play if you aren't a trumpet, trombone, or precussionist. You could maybe add flutes to the trumpet part as long as it doesn’t overpower the tone. Maybe have the flute/sax part of the beat not be whole band, but mostly woodwinds with flutes in the foreground. The middle voices (clarinet, saxes, mellophones, etc.) can play some of Kendrick’s parts, especially where the flow is distinctive. Part’s like “A Minnnoooorrrr”, the “lil wayne”, the colonizer verse, “OV-HOE” would be really fun to have in. You don’t need to (and shouldn’t) do this for the whole runtime of the track, but a faithful shortening that focuses on the musical highlights makes for a fun arrangement to play and hear. If you make a new version of the arrangement, I'd love to see in on RUclips in the future!!

This is the Iowa arrangement, HBCU arrangements are gonna have way better syncopation and more parts for the lower brass section. This the colonized version 🤣🤣🤣
