    Wow... maybe better than Cuba Libre? That definitely has me curious now!

    Great review, Joel. I kinda wish I'd seen video this before the GMT sale. I'm pretty happy with the COIN games I have, but I'm not a fan of playing them solo. I don't like running several bots or playing three or four factions myself. It's too much to keep track of. This seems like it would be great for playing solo and easier to get to the table multiplayer, since I'd only need one other opponent as opposed to three.

    Thanks! Have this one sitting on my shelf in shrink since last summer. Have always wanted to get into COIN games, but have felt intimidated. This looks like a good start and good encouragement to crack it open

    I have always loved coin games. My favorites are a distant plain and fire in the lake. The problem with coin games, though, is that they are long and are best with 4 players. However, long games are always difficult to get 4 players together for. The british way seems to have solved both these problems. Love it

    I thought I was done with new COIN games after mostly paring down to my favorites, but I may be picking this one up. I'm a little concerned about it being only 2 factions since I found Colonial Twilight too much of a grind.

    I absolutely agree with your summary that TBW is an excellent choice for COIN-novices to dip their toes in the proverbial pool- the scenarios are relatively slimmed without sacrificing the insurgent spirit, the rules are approachable and the playtime says "let's switch sides & play another game". The campaign variant seems a touch tacked on, but that's a very minor complaint.
    I known they've announced the Guerrilla Generation as the next title in the multi-pack series, and I'm excited to see where GMT goes from there. 🖖

    How did you handle hidden information for solo play?

      There's no hidden information!

      aren't the values of Intel chips hidden from the opposing player?

    • @joedewhurst1187
      @joedewhurst1187 9 месяцев назад +3

      No, they are drawn blind but the values are open information once drawn. There will be a small amount of hidden information (special Base location) in two of the Guerrilla Generation multipack games, but we are including guidelines for how to handle this when playing two-handed solo.

      @joedewhurst1187 brilliant to see the developer so involved in answering questions. Thanks, Joe!
